"Always" is fair hyperbole, and it was never established that Hashirama was at the same level at their final battle.

If anything, he was above Madara at that battle. Madara planned on taking Hashirama's power by defeating him, but when he lost, he was still able to salvage his plan by gaining a part of Hashirama's power.

No, just in the parts Naruto referenced in his flashbacks: them as children [When Sasuke was famous] and them at the valley [When Sasuke referenced mind reading]. His failure to stop Sasuke, ties into how strong he is. Like Sasuke said, he won't convinced with words.

I certainly agree that, between Sasuke and Naruto, they could only really communicate through their fists as we have seen time and time again. That is what I feel Naruto is regretting. If he had, as seen in that first flashback, called out to Sasuke when they were kids (pre-academy), perhaps things would have worked out differently.

That being said, the way you worded your first post made it sound like Naruto was always playing catch-up when we know that Naruto and Sasuke have passed each other multiple times.

Also, perhaps he can't be convinced with words, but, as Madara said to Hashirama in a flashback, the only true way to come to peace is to show your enemy the true intentions and feelings of your heart. That happened today :win:

Naruto is stronger than sasuke the flashbacks were him seeing sasuke go away and it caused all the problems so he doesn't want to see sasuke get hurt again or taken away again that was why he stood up.

And about sasukes susano it was upgraded by naruto's chakra cloak. Remember that sasuke used susano when he tried to save naruto from juubito's attack there the susano doesn't have legs and also when he attacked obito when he was about to become jinchiriki of the 10 tails his susano also doesn't have legs there. So in conclusion it was after he got narutos chakra cloak that his susano upgraded to have legs.

Please do not let sasuke fanism blind you from seeing the truth

No, he wasn't as far as the similarities show that I've pointed out. Madara never cared about defeating Hashirama, because he didn't care about the current world or accolades. The false narrative is that Madara "lost" the battle, when later on Obito explains Madara didn't care about winning the battle. It's the first step is a long chain of events that would lead up to project Tsukinome.

Madara's dream was in the future, as Obito said, which was why Hashirama didn't understand what he was really doing by battling him. Hashirama was focused on the present.

From what we've seen in the battle, it's pretty questionable to merely say Hashirama just flat out "beat" Madara, considering Madara somehow survived Sage mode, got Hashirama into a beaten up state [While he was as pristine as the day he fought the Senju] and did some kind of trick to gain his power.

I don't think it would have made much of a difference back then, since Sasuke probably wouldn't have acknowledged Naruto.

My post references what Naruto feels, not us as readers. Naruto has never, in recent memory, felt he's ahead of Sasuke. He's always behind or working to be on the same page, which is what I believe is the purpose of the current chapter.

Also, perhaps he can't be convinced with words, but, as Madara said to Hashirama in a flashback, the only true way to come to peace is to show your enemy the true intentions and feelings of your heart. That happened today :win:
While true, the fist thing Sasuke referenced was one way to accomplishing that, and also what Madara believed. It remains to be seen if this interaction will be positive in changing Sasuke.

I half agree. I agree that Madara wasn't really bent on defeating Hashirama, he was bent on achieving his ultimate plan which required Hashi's DNA. However, Madara didn't go into that battle with the intention of losing - he fully believed that he was "on top" as he said. It turned out he was incorrect, but he managed to fulfill his ultimate purpose anyway.

Madara's dream was in the future, as Obito said, which was why Hashirama didn't understand what he was really doing by battling him. Hashirama was focused on the present.

Agreed. :)

Well yeah, I wasn't saying Hashirama fodderized Madara or anything - it was obvious that they were both worn out (Madara's sharingan deactivated, Hashi all roughed up). But in the end Hashirama won the battle. This is similar to but on a much grander scale than Kakashi vs Obito. Kakashi won the battle, but Obito had something else planned up his sleeve.

I don't think it would have made much of a difference back then, since Sasuke probably wouldn't have acknowledged Naruto.

It's all speculation really. That's why Naruto is regretting it - it was a huge "what if" moment that he replayed in his mind over and over.

My post references what Naruto feels, not us as readers. Naruto has never, in recent memory, felt he's ahead of Sasuke. He's always behind or working to be on the same page, which is what I believe is the purpose of the current chapter.

Again, I half agree. That has certainly been his outlook when it comes to Sasuke, yes, but there was more to this chapter than the Naruto/Sasuke relationship. Naruto's total goal is to reform the shinobi world as a whole, to gain true peace - Sasuke is just a part (albeit a very important part) in his overall goal (hence all the other folks in his flashbacks :)).

While true, the fist thing Sasuke referenced was one way to accomplishing that, and also what Madara believed. It remains to be seen if this interaction will be positive in changing Sasuke.

Agreed - we shall see what becomes of it.

OP you're right. There is no point arguing with majority of the base members espically since most are biased and act like retards when someone says something which they disagree about their "fav" character...

And let's be honest Hashirams vs Madara in final battle was pure plot. Madara didn't look to beat up, yet Hashirama looked badly injured...Madara randomly de-activates his Sharingan thinking he won. I thought EMS could see through a wood clone. (PLOT-HOLE) That fight was pure plot. This was another one of those ass-pulls that kishi loves to do, anyone with a brain cell should be able to see that...
