Ok, so you're saying, just to clarify, that I should in fact trust science and not take it with a grain of salt as opposed to being incredibly skeptical of everything. Correct?

Dude...no.

You're just jumping to these huge conclusions, again.

There's no skeptical... just not caring. You make a statement, you show some photoshopped pictures...I can't see it for myself...so why would I just immediately take what they say with a grain of salt. Thought that was common sense.

I'm telling you about the flight to the moon and the theory of scientists, and you will tell me about a station built by 5 countries

So a world Superpower at the time, didn't have the technology to go to space and land on the moon, even though the Soviets, who were economically and technologically inferior, managed to send a man to space a decade before?

Dude wtf are you even talking about???

It literally said on the front of the page that those pictures were artistic renditions.

You first claim to take things with a grain of salt, then you say the opposite and I'm asking you to clarify your statement, but all you do is say that I'm jumping to conclusions.

Do you know what taking this with a grain of salt means, because you're clearly using it the wrong way?

You just said in this sentence:

@Bold: "I can't see it for myself...so why would I just immediately take what they say with a grain of salt. Thought that was common sense."

Taking things with a grain of salt means being skeptical.

Not taking it with a grain of salt means you don't doubt what you see.

My ****ing GOD!

I'm trying to tell you that much from NASA lies! You ascribe to me the words that the station and the flights of lies I did not say There are no such technologies and no was not. Into space and not the moon! There were no people on the moon

Yes you did!!! Wow, I'm done.

All that is in NASA including flying to the moon is not confirmed, I prefer to trust the words of scientists from other countries!

Weren't you literally just arguing how science is profit-driven, now you're asking why they don't try to make a profit off of their discoveries?
Not what I said or implied.

Just they could let the public have some of their equipment since they've developed more over the years.

It doesn't matter if they gave them away for free or sold them.

We ought to know whether they work as they say they do.

Saying you can perceive planets lights away is a really big claim, you know, especially considering our current understanding of what light years mean.

Okay, i get what you're saying

Take with a grain of salt means "being skeptical"...okay, i get it. The context I was using it in was "Don't trust it too much", which means "take it with a grain of salt". I simply used it in the wrong context. Sadly mistakened. But pretty obvious what I meant.

But my argument STILL STANDS. And you KNOW what context I was speaking in. So this was a great trump card for you.

Nice try.Thought it was obvious what I was trying to say.

I'm not here to "win" anything. If I knew what context you were speaking in, we wouldn't have just argued about it for the last 20 minutes which was why I was asking those questions to clarify your position.

I swear I thought it was obvious. A simple mistake.

Obviously my comment indicated that I wasn't clear on what "grain of salt" meant. None the less, I'm not even skeptical, either, cause I don't really care.

Science=of no real value to me.

what a petty thing to even point out...it's so obvious as to what I meant. Please.

Thank you. That's literally all I was asking for you to answer.

Anyways, I'm done here.

I say that there are no engines for flights to the moon and back! In space at the station, please no problem, but for a human so far this is the limit

You didn't ask, actually. You never asked, you weren't straight to point.

Hey, be done, and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

I didn't ask? You're joking right?

I suppose I wasn't jumping to conclusions like you claimed.

So what should I rely on in order to better understand the world?

Should I take every scientific theory and discovery with a grain of salt?

I asked the question that you claim I didn't ask.

If you're talking about being an adult, you can at least admit to being wrong in that regard.

What are you talking about? You never ask "Is science of any value to you"...what are you even talking about?

You misunderstood me, and I misunderstood where you were coming from.Other than that, everything i've said is pretty accurate, doesn't change anything other than the simple mistake of a phrase being used out of context.

Really, you were just looking for the perfect opportunity to flip the script. And you went BANANAS off of the fact that I was using it out of context, you took full advantage of that opportunity.Kind of childish.

lmao, like what are you not understanding.

There's no wrong, you're just being a little arrogant right now.

Anyways,

You were expecting exact wording? The question I asked came quite close and considering your answer, you should have been able to answer that question easily. But instead you just said I was jumping to conclusions.

The reason I went "bananas" is because all you did was throw assertions my way.

You said I was jumping to conclusions, overly dependent on science, twisting your words, adding to your statements, taking you out of context, etc.

Yet in the end, you were the one that wasn't clarifying your statements, using idioms incorrectly, and refusing to progress into a discussion by throwing those assertions instead of just answering the questions I did to better understand where you were coming from.

ohhh *clap* *clap* mr. verbiage!

Listen,

I don't care. deal with it.

It was misunderstanding. Simply put. I can't believe you still cannot grasp that. And yes, you do, do those things.

A misunderstanding of which you ungraciously pinned on me.

Reread the comments, I never took you out of context. I asked questions based on what you were saying.
