So then what the f*ck are they?

A bunch of useless pics and statements.

Did you even read the article or just look at the pictures?

A picture of Earth and artist's interpretations of several exoplanets that could be like our own. From left: artist's impressions of Kepler-22b, Kepler-69c, Kepler-452b, Kepler-62f and Kepler-186f. A picture of Earth is at far right.

Because they told you these planets are ''light years away'' and yet want you to believe they discovered them at all.
Just think about that for a second.

It's light years away, and yet they were able to perceive it in some way.

Where's the scientific method they used, and what scientific method could detect or enable one to perceive something so distant? It's not here yet, and I don't think it's even virtually close in our time.

You do realize we have super-telescopes where we can see much of the observable universe that is light-years away, right?

They also use infrared, ultraviolet light, spectographs, and other means that can pick up all sorts of information about planets and stars...

Dude, are you being serious right now?

Um, all of the time. We have an international space station....

There are currently people in space as we speak....

Are you being serious right now?

They fly on Russian missiles and with Russian engines, and they did not fly to the Moon ! I repeat the question when the US sent a man into space in 70-80?

I don't give a shit is my answer.

That literally has nothing to do with my comment.

So what I said is untrue?

We don't have super-telescopes with those functions and we can't see stars and planets lightyears away?

such an over-reliance on science. come on now.

don't take everything with a grain of salt. super telescope...or not.

All that is in NASA including flying to the moon is not confirmed, I prefer to trust the words of scientists from other countries!

Why not put them on sale at least so people can buy them and observe these so-called planets light years away?

Damn shame none of us have this scientific technology and is only possessed by them. So many years have passed now. They could at least sell some of the obsolete equipment since they always invent new, improved ones.

So what should I rely on in order to better understand the world?

Should I take every scientific theory and discovery with a grain of salt?

Weren't you literally just arguing how science is profit-driven, now you're asking why they don't try to make a profit off of their discoveries?

I can't help that you love to jump to these conclusions.

So an international space station and astronauts in space is unconfirmed? Are you an idiot?

You literally and explicitly just said to take everything with a grain of salt, super-telescopes or not while also ridiculing me at being reliant on science.

In what universe am I jumping to a conclusion?

Precarious as hell.

He treats science almost like religion. He doesn't even question whether they even possess the apparatus they claim they use to observe celestial existence with.

Um, you mean this?

I said don't take everything with a grain of salt. Why would I tell you the opposite?

If did say it, then it must of been a typo. My whole point was to "not take everything with a grain of salt"...how could you not catch that...

Too much escapism. so much reliance!

Ok, so you're saying, just to clarify, that I should in fact trust science and not take it with a grain of salt as opposed to being incredibly skeptical of everything. Correct?

I'm telling you about the flight to the moon and the theory of scientists, and you will tell me about a station built by 5 countries
