Even if Edo Madara was not Edo, he'd still beat Hashirama

Since he has Hashirama DNA and can use all of Hashirama's techniques now plus has the same lifeforce + has copied all of Hashirama's skills with Sharingan(like what Sasuke did to Lee or what Kakashi did to Zabuza), he is basically Hashirama + Rinnegan + Sharingan. On top of being just as strong as Hashirama and having all the same abilities and skills, he can see what Hashirama does before he does it and do Rinnegan/Sharingan moves. Madara is currently Hashirama + Uchiha skills + Rinnegan, while Hashirama is just Hashirama.

That seems like a fair statement, although, we don't know what his (Madara's) limit is in terms of Chakra. He could have ran out long ago and as his Edo Form grants him with an infinite amount of Chakra; One could argue Hashirama could outlast him.

Overall, I'd sway towards Madara, but Hashirama could pull it off in my opinion.

I dont see how anyone can make a logical statement on the subject when Hashirama is still one giant question mark. Thats like saying Naruto 20 years from now would only be equal to Madara. Theres just too many unknown variables to even consider the equation.

How can Hashirama outlast Madara if they have the same lifeforce/chakra? Madara has Hashirama's DNA and is essentially a senju like Hashi is, on top of being a great Uchiha. Any skillfulness or technique advantage that Hashirama has over Madara, Madara just copies with his Sharingan and is able to execute them just as well as Hashi can due to his genes in him.

We.Don't.Know.That -- for sure.

We don't know how good hashirama was at mokuton, or what else he could do. Furthermore we don't know if madara is even STILL utilizing mokuton to be the fullest. Until in somewhere in the manga it says something to the respect of "and that is why he was regarded as a fairy tail" or something explaining why hashi has this amazing hype; then we haven't concluded that we have seen the extent of his power.

As good as Hashirama was at mokuton, Madara would be just as good due to Sharingan. Similar to how Sasuke was able to be just as good as Lee at Taijutsu and how Kakashi became just as good as Zabuza in suiton jutsus and kenjutsu.

Hashirama is not defeating a being who is simply a of both himself and his greatest rival. That's not to say, however, that he stands no chance, since Madara still believes him to be a threat.

And how sasuke was able to be just as good as kakashi with raikiri??

The sharingan isn't that perfect at copying.

But Sasuke didn't have Kakashi's chakra molding ability or nature manipulation ability to do the raikiri. Just like he didn't have Lee's speed to match him despite copying his moves in their first fight.

Madara vs Hashirama is different. Madara can match Hashi in all those things because he has Hashirama's DNA, plus he has an elite of all elite ninja.

Right right, but if you remember, sasuke had to practice lee's speed to get it down.

Madara may have the ability to fight like hashi did in his prime, but we don't know if he CAN (knowledge and experience). Mostly because we don't know what hashi was like.

You can see someone do something 1000 times but it's not the same as doing it once. Like we know that madara saw hashirama use mokuton but that doesn't mean he knew what the sensation was like while using it, or what was going throw hashi's mind, and how he strategized his mokuton.

And again i bring up those pesky scrolls and the mystery of hashis power.

I'm not saying hashi would win, and right now it's definitely advantage madara.. it's just we don't know for sure he would win.

Madara stated that Hashirama could still defeat him in his Edo form, so him without Edo means that Hashirama's chances increase. Remember that Edo grants him infinite amounts of chakra, so he doesn't have to worry about performing high-level techniques. But now that he doesn't have it, he'll be forced to conserve chakra; Meaning he probably won't be able to perform all the high-level techniques he used on the 5 Kage.

It's pretty obvious now. Madara has merged both the legacies into himself. Hashirama would have been no where near his power given he only had his senju DNA and Mokuton techniques.

It's because of Hashirama's sealing techniques who can most certainly seal an edo. It has nothing to do with Hashirama's strength. There is no way in hell the dude's stamina and chakra were unlimited, nor did he have any advantage of EMS which Madara in this form certainly does. Without the Edo form, there is nothing for Hashirama to seal.
