Episode 167 what do you think about it?

Personnaly I have mixed feeling for the episode. It looked like the 1st half and the 2nd half of the episode were made by 2 differant animators. Untill the part where the kyubii was captured(6 tails form) the episode sucked was almost the worst episode I had ever seen and after that it was great: naruto's mixed feelings, Yamatos fear, the apperance of the 4th it was all great.

A few reasons why the 1st part was terrible:
1-Pain was unlike human and more like a doll. His body, arms and legs moved weirdly and streached beyond human it was plain wrong, when he jumped, ran or attacked his body parts moved differently. It was like when u looked at his legs u thought he was going left but when u looked at his arms u thought he was going to the right. Also his face looked like rubber: when ever he got punched or his face got blown by wind his face streched out like rubber in an unhuman way. 2- Pain was saposed to be the near-invinsible villain a total Badass but in this episode he got knocked around the village by the kyubii. I would be ok if he got beat or something but he was played by the kyubii like a little toy.

Well like I said the episode wasnt all bad it had some good parts in it to like naruto seeing the 4th.

So in this thread u can discuss what i said or the episode in general. Pls dont flame or tell me something like: '' well if u think its bad dont watch it'' or ''why dont u make it better'' because I am just telling what I think of the episode.

Arguments like "If you don't like the episode then" and "Can you do any better?" are completely unjustified in any manner or form. We are the audience of the series, it's based on a manga that we're all fond of. Those arguments is completley out of context if you expect people to simply accept that they abruptly change an animation style they've been following for ages, and change it into something that is COMPLETELY off what they've displayed before.

Not only have the animations been shit lately, bouncing up and down in quality like a ****ing rollercoaster, but now they decide to shit on their series even more, but revamping their drawing style into something that looks like a mix of The Simpsons and Tom and Jerry. Seriously, hammering pain into the ground with a big flat rock, having him twitch around like a fresh piece of jelly, trying to add comic relief to one of the most serious scenes of the whole anime? And as you've pointed out, the part where he pummeled the ground is supposed to express his own anger and pain. How the **** can anyone take that seriously when the skin won't even stick to his face.

This is a ****ing disaster and I hate it. They already had trails of this happening in the last episode with Hinata, and I was praying it wouldn't. Rose-colored cheeks, and jellymen all over the place. I seriously hope they won't be sticking with this. Either way, I'm grateful I have a manga to stick with, and that it's the work of a single reliable person.

It's the way Japanese like their animation and its they that the animators must make happy. We love Naruto but it's the Japanese that they must please so that their be a Naruto for us to see.

Don't feed us that crap. Regardless of regional preferences or whatnot, you just don't make a template that you use for 8 years, then piss on it halfway through. Naruto is Naruto, not Dragon Ball.

i have to say this was one of the greatest battles seen so far in anime and the ending is awesome.. however aye, have to say i completely agree with thee above. I said to my brother within the first 5mins of the anime starting that they have ruined the animation.

simple.. if your going to put out an anime THIS SPECIAL thats followed worldwide.. take some pride in it and do it properly ;|

I think After 166 it has come on the shitty track of animation again. And it's Getting Worse!

There are moments that the animations was cool enough..but there are moments that the animation sucks bigtime.. actually.. while i'm watching the 167 episode.. i was thinking if this the real episode of naruto.. It's so atrocious and all. oh well. at least.. whatever..

The animations are terrible. The only good thing that i can see is that next weeks is going to be sooooooooooooooooooo much better as the preview actually showed the animations look better. But from Planetary Devastation to the credits, the animations have improved allot,.

When coming across the manga, its great. Even though there are no motion, no sound, etc but only pictures, and its really good. And When it comes to animation, it has advantage than comics since there are motion/movement, sound, etc. So, it is expected to be far better than mere pictures. I have waited for this animation for more than a year. But these days, tha animation are worse than mere pictures.

If there is no manga, i'll stop watching Naruto already.

its because they wanted to make us see that he is kinda ''crazy''that he has feels a lot of pain....but in the end was a great episode!!!
