Found it funny that you base your statement about summons and chakra control on Gamabunta saying he sucks at transformations. The same Gamabunta used a nature transformation tech (far more difficult -Kakashi’s saying) three pages before.

It is also funny as it is the first tech that Naruto who had the poorest chakra control of this part of the manga actually mastered (sexy jutsu? heard of it?). Chakra control is not needed to perform such techs. Bunta jst sucked at it as Kushina said she sucked at ninjutsu

Jiraya said Nagato mastered all 5 nature transformations and kind of ninjutsu at 13 or so. Don't you think he would have find his way out of the mud if he could. The same path used a substitution tech in the previous chapter. Why didn't he at that time?

I do like reading your threads coz you always find a way to make it sound like any genin can find his way out of / defeat a tech performed by/ a non Uchiha shinobi.

I do believe as it had been stated before that people with Raiton affinity and high level shinobis can counter this tech.

As always you put a lot of effort into this and I prefer these threads to the redundant power ranking threads, but I must say your reasoning here is poor. This is basically a thesis with no prove at all, which means it’s merely speculations based on assumptions. I would also criticize your emphasis on ending stuff but I have come to terms with the fact that’s more like your signature than anything ;), plus it attracts readers.

Your so-called “evidence” is based on the faulty notion that the swamp is like regular water. Can you provide a scan supporting this fact? Can you find it in any description of the technique? The swamp is chakra-infused mud (already a major difference), and is more like boosted quicksand than anything. It creates liquefied soil that simply can’t support weight, which means you’re screwed if you try to resist the swamp. It literally eats away at your chakra/strength, weakens you, and basically imprisons you.The technique itself is only limited by the user’s chakra, e.g. it can completely swallow you (under the right conditions) and can also be used against multiply enemies at once.

I almost feel like you forgot that Pain was caught in the swamp, as well. Then you were like; I have already written this piece, so let me try and work around it. Pain was fast enough to evade almost everything Jiraiya had to offer, yet he couldn’t escape it. He had plenty of time to put chakra in his hands and feet, and he certainly would have, had it been a viable option. Being blind doesn’t take your ability to mold chakra away, and none of the other paths (who were perfectly fine), saw the technique coming. It simply doesn’t work like that, or at least nothing suggests that, and since the burden of proof is on you -and you lack convincing evidence- it wouldn’t work in an argument. Even a technique like Kisame’s water prison, which is mere c-rank(easy to learn), is hard to escape from simply because its chakra infused.

Obviously no technique is without a weakness and I think something like Chidori Nagashi can completely nullify the swamp, due the elemental weaknesses. It is also dependant on a large chakra reserve (if you want a large one), skill, and I don’t think you can make a big one indoors. Then you have stuff you did mention like substitution jutsu and kage bunshin. As i said though, however, the chakra method is just a theory.Same thing with summons... I'm pretty sure enma is good at it since he can transform at will.

Earth Release: Underworld* Swamp (土遁・黄泉沼, Doton: Yomi Numa)
Ninjutsu, A-rank, Offensive, All ranges
User: Jiraiya

The more you struggle, the more you sink
A bottomless swamp from Hell!!

By changing the ground into mud and creating a swamp, the enemy is sunk deep underground...!! The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body. It's impossible to recover one's strength and escape from there. The size and depth of the created swamp depend on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp! When fighting a great number of enemies or having to face gigantic creatures, this is an extremely effective technique.

↓The giant snake captured in this bog is prevented from moving! But if you ask Jiraiya, he'd say it is insufficient. The real goal of this technique is to completely submerge the target underground.
[picture of Orochimaru's snake summon caught in this technique]

This swamp goes down to abysmal depths!!

*Yomi is the place where the you go after death according to the Japanese Shinto mythology. Since Buddhism was introduced in Japan, it is also considered one of the Buddhist hells.

It's unlike the Western concepts of Heaven and Hell, though. It isn't a paradise in any way, nor is it a place for punsiment. All the dead, regardless of their behaviour in life, go there to carry on a gloomy and shadowy existance and rot for all eternity.

People are foolish to think it's an impossible thing to get out of, or to survive through. But, it doesn't change the fact that it is incredibly useful, even if it's necessary to combine/plan ahead.

Really should stop putting the Ending the "Debates" in the title, nothing can be, nor ever will be resolved.

so right about the last part, but still+rep for ending the myth! i salute u :izuna::izuna:
