The meteor was hit at its center and was smashed into pieces. You're second point is right. A human body can't handle the the amount of air pressure present from a direct hit. It would be ripped into pieces. On top of that the diameter of the blade is obviously wider than a human.

Yeah, except I never said it wouldn't be ripped to pieces, I said it wouldn't be turned into dust, which is true. Also, PS's blade swinging in a horizontal motion would bisect and rip the body to pieces, it wouldn't smash the body and turn it into dust as the blade isn't wide, thick enough, whatever term that is supposed to be used, to do so. Its thin.
