Eminem is easily the best rapper right now

Lol I like Eminem, I really do but best rapper out? Rap god was great, borderline godly. But how much controversy did it create among the rap game? Eminem is old generation trying to cling on to past success, you can tell that Eminem has fallen off due to the fact he released an amazing track probably made to stir up the game and cause controversy to get publicity. Yet it didn't do that, his new album isn't projected to make past sale numbers. All the new songs he's been releasing have done nothing but impress his really loyal fans, but critics and rap geniuses and magazines and labels etc have not been impressed, because once again the longer an amazing rapper stays in the game the more people will say "the old him was better" and this is exactly whats happening to Eminem.

Current Hopsin too, I prefer Em a shitton more but Ill Mind 6 was far better than his last 3 tracks imo, Rap God was dope but the shitty beat was annoying.

But lets look at the facts, how successful do you think this new album of his is gonna be? Eminem isn't either. The whole homophobia thing came up because where Em grew up, words like queer and f*ggot weren't specific to gay people, they were just general insults. When people heard him say it, they labelled him a homophobe without even asking. This pissed Em off, as it would anyone, so he became satirical, he used lyrics that sounded homophobic as a sarcastic way to piss off the ignorant people who labelled him a homophobe. Eminem is also very good friends with openly gay Elton John.

The misoginist thing is also a misunderstanding. Em's "misongist" lyrics were just exaggerated ways he dealt with the frustration he felt with his ex-wife Kim. Once again, people labelled instead of asked, so he kept at it to piss them off

He had his time back in the day where he was quite good even in comparison to rappers in the prime era of rap, but now all he is, is a gay rapper who doesn't know his place. Even Nas, probably in the top 3 rappers of all time (with the best rap album of all time) has turned shit and had to adapt to what people listen to (terrible rap with no lyrics and border line flow on a topic which doesn't reach a range further then *****, money, weed, or illuminati).

Generally, I agree. Most of the famous rappers of the last decade can't even touch the sides compared to MCs of previous generations but Rap God comes closer to his older stuff, where he really showed his talent.
