[Suggestion] Edit the Sensei Test

Test: So, potential Sensei, please tell me a bit about Temari.
Testee: What? What does Temari have to do with anything?
Test: You should know about Temari. Don't you know about Temari?
Testee: Sure I do, but I'm trying to become a teacher, not a part of the Naruto Discussion section.

The written test, one of the two tests one must pass to become a Sensei in the RP, covers more than it should. Why should I make example combinations and defenses when the second part of the test is a Battle Test?
Senseis need to be knowledgeable about the RP and able to teach well. Whether they're good fighters or not really doesn't matter as long as they're able to battle 'correctly' and explain the nature of the techniques they use.
I am of the opinion that the written test should consist only of questions pertaining to the teaching system. Give an example of how you would explain jutsu X. What aspects of the techniques are you going to focus on and why? There are already questions like 'how would you explain the Great Fireball Technique?' My suggestion is simply to remove the excess 'fat' if so to speak and stick to what actually matters. Even if the Staff doesn't want to come up with new question this suggestion is still very valid in my opinion. Less questions of a deviant nature might mean the difference between a pass and a fail.

Kind of contradict yourself. If you don't know enough about Wind Release to teach it how can you be a sufficient sensei? You're supposed to be able to teach all of the basic elements, ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu at minimum.

Anyway tbh I agree with Zero somewhat. A good portion of what's on the sensei test is meaningless for the actual teaching process. I'd point out what I mean but I'd probably get in trouble for pointing out specific questions. Though some of the character questions are weirdly specific. Instead of asking about a characters past, village etc it should be mainly about their abilities how they work and how to properly teach them.

I think its fine to be honest the way the system is run is good and i dont see why testing your knowledge on naruto characters or their abilities is any problem, as this is an anime site which s rp is based on the manga and one should be prepared before signing up to take the test.

thats a bold assumption of who the first two kazekages even were and or what they had done i have personally never heard anything past the third kazekage. so really that is a horrible question to ask but it may have been worded differently who knows.

well the only thing i would answer is she uses a ninja tool fan or in rp a cw fan to utilize her wind element nature.
but really anything past that is useless info including which village she resides or stats.

depends on what the tester has for required answers if he or she wanted all the knowledge known on the said question well nobody could sit there and off the top of there head state everything about dust release kg.

or too that fact everything about doujutsu thats highly unlikely that they would require every piece of detail.

in my personal opinion the most important part of learning rp is writing and or battle training. only because i never wish to become a sensei as i do not see the rp going forward anytime soon.

OT: I never took it, but I heard of it. From what I have heard, it does cover a very broad spectrum of what needs not be covered to your average sensei. I know many capable sensei that cannot pass said test due to questions about certain tailed beasts. Why would a regular sensei need to know about each tailed beast and it's specialties when the sensei only need to be proficient in the basic eight? Tai, Gen, Nin, elements. Possibly Ken as well. And some people think the new RP'ers don't watch Naruto and we don't know how the techniques work. We know how a jutsu works, and we have seen it.

A Kindly Reminder: Who do people go to to resolve questions about certain characters and their abilities? Who do people actually want an opinion from when it concerns battles and their associated disputes other than Moderators?

I agree there are some useless questions in there but when it comes to the tailed beasts and their powers it is imperative that you know as much as you can.

Character knowledge is part of the test as senseis are meant to have a working knowledge of specific bios and their abilities. However, the characters that come up vary greatly due to a random question generator. This test is not meant to be something everyone with a basic level of skill in the rp can pass, you are meant to have knowledge of the rp and the cannon manga that is of a level that sets you above the masses.

I am always working on adding more questions to the system to prevent repeat tests. Character knowledge will not be removed, though I may add more technique specific questions in the near future

I agree with Vincent. Sure you can google it, look it up in episodes/the manga, but you need standard knowledge.

Also, if you know a lot, it can help you boost your score. Though I'm pretty sure RP knowledge grades are worth more.

Also, I heard a long time ago the test was harder. Now it is easy which is telling me a lot. You guys are whinning.

Only reason I don't like the test is because it is a written portion. I can pass the battle test, but I feel as though you guys are expecting too much, no offense. Yes, you do have a glitch in your system. It mess up the timeframe.
