When I notice the vital points of rocks being removed, I immediately place my palms facing each other but not touching and channels my lightning chakra between them while manipulating to create a small orb. The orb then goes slightly into the air and starts releasing several bolts around the cave shattering the rocks into a very small pieces which won't kill me if they fall on me.

( Raiton: Kaminari no Shōgeki Ame ) - Lightning Release: Lightning Shock Rain
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user manipulates their lightning chakra condensing into a orb of chakra and then releasing it into the air. The lightning orb will then remain in the air for several seconds releasing a continous rain of lightning bolts shocking any enemy within the radius of the attack.
Note: Lasts only the turn in which its used.

(Doton: Iwayado Kuzushi) - Earth Style: Rock Lodging Destruction

Perform the technique:

Looking at the opponent stuck in the middle of a cave, I perform the Tiger → Rat → Snake hand seals while focusing my earth chakra throughout the cave. Then I analyze the cave for a bit to look at it's weak points and finds some. With the intent to make the cave fall on the opponent, I simply focus my earth chakra into the rocks at the base of the cave and removes it using chakra causing the entire cave to destabilize. Within a few moments, the rocks of the caves started to give in falling on the opponent, crushing him like a bug.

Creative uses/strengths:

This technique pretty much has only one use. To crush the opponent by making the entire cave to de-stabilize. It can be very effective when the opponent is in the middle of the cave with no exit other than the frontal part where I am. Even removing a single rock is enough to make the entire cave to fall in, but it should be the one which is holding the cave properly. If there is no cave present, there is a technique which allows a cave to be created form the earth surrounding the opponent.

Drawbacks/counters:

There are several drawbacks to this technique. One, who can expect a person to be in the cave as most of the battles are done on a plain grassy field with water source on either side. Two, this technique requires hand seals which gives the opponent enough time to react to it. Three, when the cave starts to fall in, the opponent can use a very powerful lightning technique like the plasma ball to stop the rocks from reaching the skin of the opponent.

(Doton/Katon: Yodo Ranfunka no Jutsu) - Earth/Fire Release: Molten Earth Wild Eruption Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will stomp the ground to lift of chunks of rock which he will then send at the opponent. Then, by using a fire style technique, he will cause them to ignite into burning rock chunks which explode on contact with the enemy.

This is a great projectile based technique and very simple as well. The user will send chunks of rocks (2-4) towards the opponent by stomping their feet on the ground and then send a stream of fire towards the rocks engulfing them in flames. This will have impact and burn effect, which means the opponent will be pushed back from the rocks as well as burned in the area hit. Its a nice jutsu to force the opponent in having to make a quick reaction. If the opponent tries douse the flames the rocks will still be their, its a very tough move to counter on your feet, best to use lightning. The rocks acts as base for the fire. Also the fire added to the rocks are apart of the move, so no need to perform a fire technique just channel katon chakra towards the rocks. You can aim this rocks towards anywhere at the opponent, note the more you send the weaker each are.

(Doton/Raiton: Denki Iwabashira) - Earth/Lightning Release: Electric Rock Pillar
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid (Short for electric bolts)
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will make a set of four hand seals and then will place their hand on the ground to create a pillar of earth to rise up from the ground. This pillar is then given a electrical charge that causes electric bolts to be emitted from the pillar up to short range from the pillar, shocking any targets in the vicinity.

This is a different jutsu we are used to in the doton list. The user will quickly rise pillars from the ground by placing their hands on the ground. The pillars are able to send a electrical charge of lightning bolts towards the opponent. The pillars can be created short-mid range and the lightning bolts move short range from where the pillars are made. You can make more then one pillar but that means the lightning bolts become weaker (2-4 pillars). It is great to set up a defense, but you have to focus your chakra on the pillars to send the bolts. The pillars are also sharp enough to stab the opponent and then shock them.

(Doton/Katon: Yodo Ranfunka no Jutsu) - Earth/Fire Release: Molten Earth Wild Eruption Technique

Perform the technique:

Looking at the opponent mid-range from me, I lift my right leg slightly up in the air and stomps the ground while sending earth chakra through the ground. Then I use shape manipulation to make the 4 rocks come out of the earth right before you floating in the air. In a moment, I send the rocks flying towards the opponent while I spew out a stream of fire out of my mouth towards the rocks powerful enough to ignite them on fire without melting them. Upon touching the skin of the opponent with immense force, the rocks started to suddenly explode one by one while sending the opponent flying back with severe burn injuries.

Creative uses/strengths:

In case a attack is heading towards me and I don't have enough time, I could merely stomp the ground bringing up several rocks equaling a total of B-Rank which would take them head on. The rocks are pretty much fast and the fire to ignite them is even more faster than that, the earth combined with the power of fire gives a lava type of effect which has the capability to burn the hell out of a person. I just had a idea which might work, after sending the earth rocks along with the fire, I could release a mild concentrated wind that can increase the power of the flames as well as make the chunk of rocks go even faster making it almost impossible to dodge it. Since the combination of earth and fire can be devastating, water cannot merely stop the earth even though the fire extinguishes, same goes with wind unless it is really powerful. Another good thing is that, the earth and the fire is considered only one move rather than two which is really good.

Drawbacks/counters:

This technique might be a good element combination but it has a major drawback in RP-wise. A technique powerful than this one like A or S-Rank elemental Water, Wind or fire can destroy the earth as well as the fire rendering it useless. Moreover, lightning of the same rank can destroy the rocks itself which means the entire technique (the fire) would go in waste.

(Doton/Raiton: Denki Iwabashira) - Earth/Lightning Release: Electric Rock Pillar

Perform the technique:

Upon seeing the opponent mid-ranged from me, I quickly perform a series of 4 hand seals while channeling my earth chakra into my right palm. Without wasting time, I slam it on the ground while sending the earth chakra throughout the place upto mid-range. Then I shape manipulate the earth surrounding the opponent to form 4 pillars which rise in such a way that one is in the right, one in the left and the remaining two in front and back. Then I slowly mold the earth chakra present in the pillars to that of lightning chakra giving it the power to shock anyone. After a moment, the four pillars started to releases several lightning bolts towards the opponent from all sides shocking him continuously. After a few seconds, the lightning bolts stopped and the opponent fell down on the ground entirely paralyzed.

Creative uses/strengths:

This is a two element combination and it takes up only move rather than two. This technique allows me to actually summon the pillars anywhere in the ground as long it does not exceed mid-range which I really like. This gives me the ample opportunity to summon the pillars surrounding the opponent on all sides which he would not notice if it were to be behind him (which will be). After the pillars are enacted, it can release lightning bolts which are capable to paralyze the opponent in the spot which then I can kill him or do something else. Who would expect lightning to come out of earth pillars anyways? The lightning bolts can reach upto short range of where the pillars are summoned.

Drawbacks/counters:

The 4 hand seals required to perform the technique can be easily disrupted by distracting him or when he slams the ground, the opponent can use the World Shaking to make the user go off balance disturbing the entire chakra. The technique is not quick like in a flash of a eye, it takes time for the earth pillars to generate the lightning bolts. Also, since the lightning bolts reach upto short range of where the pillars are summoned, if I am in the short range of it, I might get myself shocked.

Questions

The positions of the pillars can be manually placed anywhere like I explained in the description of my performing?
Do the earth pillars disappear/crack up after the lightning bolts have been released?
Are the lightning bolts controllable in which direction they hit or omni direction?
If I am in the short range of the pillars, will I be shocked?

As long as it is short-mid. They stay where they are. They shoot as projectiles. No, as long as you don't shoot yourself.

(Doton: Ukiwagan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Floating Ring Rock Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user focuses his chakra and channels into the earth to create 2 large floating rock cubes 2 meters squared. The cubes rotate around the user to either defend him from incoming attacks (he needs to direct them using hand movements towards the attack and each cube has a C-Rank strength) or, through using the momentum created by the rotation, be flung at the enemy with incredible speed.

Okay the user will summon large floating cubes (2), that are 2 meters squared from the ground to revolve around the user acting as a barrier to attacks and then the user will send the cubes towards the opponent. This is the type of jutsu that kills two birds with one stone. You can though use it for just defense or attack, mainly depending on the situation your in. The more cubes you make the weaker each are, they act as a push type attack. When you send it towards the opponent, it will try to push them back and brake some bones. I like how it reaches all ranges and after you send the cubes they become projectiles. Also you must be on the ground to use this jutsu and send the rocks towards the opponent with hand movements after sent its projectile.

(Doton: Tetsu Keimusho no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Iron Prison Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After first performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat the user then places their hand on the ground. This causes a circular arena to surround the target, spanning 15 meters around him and being 4 meters high. The floor, the walls and the ceiling are all chakra reenforced and the user can also lock himself inside if he so pleases. If these prison receives any damage above C-Rank, they disappear in a puff of smoke.

An interesting technique. After performing the hand seals and placing hands on the ground the user will summon a very large 4 meter tall wall which acts as an arena that surrounds the user and opponent. Its 15 meters long, making it long range. The wall are very weak and a basic attack towards them will disperse the walls. This is great to alter the terrain in your favor depending on how the opponent and yourself is using it. Its good to stop an opponent from pushing back to evade your attacks. They are virtually going to be trapped and unable to move around freely. You get an even higher advantage if you are faster then the opponent. It can also break the opponent away from resources he/she might depend on, like a water source if they are a hardcore water user.

(Doton: Ukiwagan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Floating Ring Rock Technique

Perform the technique:

Seeing a fire ball heading towards me (assuming that I am in stuck in a situation), I channel my earth chakra into the ground below successfully taking it under my control. Then I manipulate the earth to rise two large cubes out of it which are two meters long in all sides and makes them rotate at a fast rate. Then I swing my right hand to the right side making the 2nd cube to go sideways while the 1st one takes the fire ball head on stopping it successfully. With it stopped, I swing my right hand towards the left side making the 2nd cube to fly towards the opponent while rotating at a incredible speed which would make the opponent suffer severe damage while flying away if hit.

Creative uses/strengths:

The thing I really like about this technique is that 2 highly spinning cubes can be created from a earth source. If a C-Rank attack is launched from the opponent, I can send one cube flying towards in a arc manner while the other would take the hit canceling the attack entirely. The other cube can deliver a very powerful cutting power and make him fly away due to the spinning force created.

Drawbacks/counters:

The problem is, even though there are two cubes, each carries only C-Rank in power. If a B-Rank attack comes towards me, I will forced to use both the cubes to stop it or I will be either killed or paralyzed or something. Obviously, this technique won't work where metal terrain or sandy terrain is there. If the cubes are right in front of me, they would be huge enough to block my entire field of vision.

(Doton: Tetsu Keimusho no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Iron Prison Technique

Perform the technique:

Seeing the opponent in long range from me, I perform the Ram → Dog → Rat hand seals and slams my hands onto the ground while releasing earth chakra form my hands towards the opponent present in long range. Then with the chakra surrounding him, I manipulate the earth to suddenly rise up in the air 4 meters high and cover him in a 15 meters length walls (circle) creating a prison around him making sure that he would not escape.

Creative uses/strengths:

The main use of this technique is to trap a opponent within the circular walls making it entire dark inside. Though I don't like this technique much, it can be used to sneakingly trap a person within it and then overheat the entire walls making it extremely hot inside (which the wall would break easily, but using a low ranked fire technique can over heat it like a C-Ranked Fire stream) so the opponent can't even know what the hell is happening outside unless he breaks through the wall. I can even trap myself in and kill him in the dark silently.

Drawbacks/counters:

What I really don't like about this technique is that, it is a B-Ranked Earth technique and the walls can only withstand a C-Rank technique and no more. More than that and the wall would entirely break. Also, if I lock myself in, it would total darkness inside making it almost impossible for me to see the opponent unless I am a chakra sensor or a Doujutsu user.

Questions

If the length spans 15m, I would be trapped in it automatically right? Since long range equals 15m.
Can I open any part of the prison on my own wish? Like the wall or the ceiling.

15 meter is mid range, and no i don't believe you can. But it can still be used if you want to trap yourself.

( Doton: Jimen Bunretsu no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Ground Splitting Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After forming the necessary hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger , the user slams their hands into the ground which causes the earth to erupt upwards or downwards below their target's feet. This technique can also effectively create barricades by creating large trenches or linear elevations that would take quite some time for a regular person to surmount.

Basic technique, after the opponent does the hand seals and slams their hands on the ground, earth will begin to violently jag up from the ground and erupt towards the targets feet like a stream, meaning you must keep your hands on the ground until it gets to the opponents feet. Now when it reaches the opponent rocks will begin to jag up and hit the feet on the opponent injuring them and hurting their speed, they will also lose balance at the same time most likely falling to the ground. The tear through the earth travels very quickly. Also you can anticipate the opponents evasion will be to jump up into the air so using a above attack as a combo would be good. It takes some time to perform. Its basic in its abilities but can be put to good use.

( Doton: Ganseki Shuriken ) - Earth Release: Rock Shuriken
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: Onoki uses his earth chakra to lift a big quantity of debris and rock from the ground nearby. After making it rotate, forming a fast spinning disk of rotating rocks and debris, he flings it at the target with enormous speed.

Its a basic projectile technique very fast to perform and simple. The user will rise a rock from the ground which from their you can use as a shield and/or attack the opponent with it as a projectile making it combo friendly. Its most noticeable abilities is it moves a long range and its fast moving as well. Other then this its quite basic and simple. The rocks spin fast and can seriously harm an opponent. Its very fast moving as well.

( Doton: Shonyuseki ) - Earth Release: Stalactite
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage poinnts: 40
Description: The user manipulates their chakra creating three huge rocks infront of them. The user will then unleash the three huge rocks coming from three different angles from infront of the enemy to smash into each other causing segements to start protruding from the collision and damaging the opponent.

Another pretty simple jutsu, the user will summon 3 huge rocks that are larger the the user and send the rocks as projectiles towards the opponent. You can send the rocks however you want which makes it handy its a quick jutsu and is great to use with combos. The rocks have the force to crush the opponents bones as well as push them back. A note is though the jutsu itself is B-Rank, each rock is C-Rank power so be weary of that.

And the second technique, I think that technique can only be used be Onoki since the description stated that "Onoki uses his earth charka."

( Doton: Jimen Bunretsu no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Ground Splitting Technique

Perform the technique:

Looking at the opponent, I perform Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger the hand seals while channeling my earth chakra into both of my hands. Then I slam my hands on the ground while releasing the said collected chakra within my hands into the ground right in front of me reaching upto the feet of the opponent. Then I manipulate the earth right in front of me to rise up continuously until it reaches the opponent where the rock jags up upwards with sheer force piercing his feet as well as making him go off balance.

Creative uses/strengths:

Rising the rock upwards can help me defend from some attacks by making it go upwards where the attack would collide with it canceling it out perfectly. What I really like about this technique is that I can alter the earth however I want by channeling the right amount of chakra and making the right changes according to the situation. I can create large pit in the ground giving me a chance to fill it with water so I can use it as a water source of my own. It can do a great a deal of damage if used under the opponent as it lift him up in the air making him go off balance while he suffers some pain in his foot which leads to sudden decrease in speed to the opponent. Just like you said, making a mid-air attack would be pretty useful to make the opponent guess in his counter.

Drawbacks/counters:

The problem is the number of hand seals required, they are lot of them and the opponent has more than enough time to disrupt my move and make a counter immediately unless that technique is my first move. And when I slam my hands on the ground, the opponent can take a precaution against that or even he could react to it quickly as he could feel the vibration going underneath his feet.

Questions

I can use this technique right under the opponent after I slam my hand on the ground right?
I can create a water source if I make a pit using this technique and then fill it with water right?

( Doton: Ganseki Shuriken ) - Earth Release: Rock Shuriken

Perform the technique:

Looking at the opponent dancing like a drunkard, I take a look around and notices a pile of debris standing there idly. Thinking of a good use, I channel my earth chakra into it and rise my hand up in the air while manipulating it to float in the air in right of me. Then I shape manipulate the debris to suddenly squash into a big disc which I then rotate it at a fast rate. With the debris put to good use, I throw it towards the drunkard piercing through his stomach successfully cutting him in half.

Creative uses/strengths:

This technique has the capability to cut the opponent in half due to the spinning power and the high radius of the disc. If there is any earth debris lying around here and there, the technique can be done almost instantaneous and can be very deadly when used while the opponent is in short range. The disc can be merely thrown by manipulating it without any requirement of gestures and can make good combos. Like after making the disc go towards the opponent, I can use a wind technique to make it go even faster or make the disc rotate in flames delivering a devastating inferno of fire when in contact with the opponent.

Drawbacks/counters:

The main problem of this technique is, it cannot be used when there is no debris lying around here and there so I have to manually destroy some part of the earth in order to perform this technique. Even though the spinning is great, a powerful wind technique can make the spinning disc repel back to me putting me, the user in danger. The opponent can only easily counter it by boosting himself upwards or sideways.

Question

Can the spinning disc repel back to me (putting me in danger) when the opponent uses a more powerful wind technique?
Also, if the debris is scattered here and there, do I need to gather them up and then make the disc?

( Doton: Shonyuseki ) - Earth Release: Stalactite

Perform the technique:

Feeling that my opponent should be crushed like a piece of cake, I gather my earth chakra and channels it into the ground right in front of me. Then I distribute the earth chakra evenly in all places and manipulates it to rise 3 huge rocks bigger than my size and makes them float in air. Then with a single hand gesture of punching, I send the 3 rocks flying towards the opponent in such a way that the left and the right rocks goes in a arc manner while the middle rocks goes straight forward. After a while, they reach the opponent and smashes into them with such brute force that he is left with all of his bones cracked.

Creative uses/strengths:

The technique would be much better to use when the opponent is distracted. The good thing is that the rocks can take upto C-Rank attack before they are totally destroyed and they quick huge in size which can make them pretty useful. I have the advantage as two rocks go in a arc direction while one comes head on making the opponent use a very wide ranged technique which I can make a counter like Earth spikes leaving entirely impaled.

Drawbacks/counters:

Even though the rocks might be huge, they can only withstand attack upto C-Rank attacks. The rocks are even more bigger than me so they pretty much block my field of vision so the opponent can make a counter unknown to me which can make me lose my control on the rocks and make them fall back onto the ground. A powerful wind technique can be used to counter this before the rocks even start moving.

Question

Each rock can still be intact when taking only one C-Rank technique right?

I forgot, despite the fact its nothing special IMO but my bad I cant teach that so negated.

I don't see how the first tech would pierce the opponents feet btw.

I can use this technique right under the opponent after I slam my hand on the ground right?
I can create a water source if I make a pit using this technique and then fill it with water right?
Yep, Yep, and to the other question on the third tech three rocks would have to be split depending on overall rank of the technique. So B-Rank with three rocks I'd say makes each of the three into weak C-Ranks. So the one C-Rank tech would break through one rock and probably negate the other with one other still heading to the opponent. Sorry if I did not explained it right, go read the elemental interaction thread in the training grounds my math sucks xD

( Doton: Taju Doryuheki ) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudwall Technique
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: Like the parent technique, it creates a reinforced wall of earth to be used as a defensive mechanism. However, the technique works in a different manner. Using a pre-existing source of earth, it allows the user to create multiple walls of earth, further fortifying their defense instead of forming a single wall, by slamming his hands on the ground.

A very powerful defensive technique. The user will slam their hands on the ground and use the earth up front of them to rise not into jutsu one, but multiple walls. You are able to summon up to 6 large walls. This is a great technique to use for jutsus that are very powerful, it can slow down the pace of the jutsu allowing you time to recover or evade more properly. The walls are of large size. Its great to stop projectile based attacks as well as streaming. After you summon the walls to either stop or slow down the attack you can evade without hesitation. The walls also rise fast consecutively. Drawbacks include you will not have a any vision of the opponent when summoning the walls for they block your vision.

(Doton: Uitenpen) - Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Descripton: The user will bite his thumb and perform the Boar → Monkey → Bird → Monkey → Ram hand seals, slamming their hand into a scroll on the ground. This technique is a combination of the Summoning Technique and an Earth Release technique. The user summons a large amount of rock from a giant canyon which, during the process of being summoned through this technique, he shapes into a design he outlined previously in a scroll. This allows the user to change the topography of the map and create any earthen feature he needs from pillars to gorges, canyons, mountains or simply plains. If the user wants to or is defeated, the alteration ends as any summon eventually does. Additionally he can use (Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control at any point to change the design and alter the summoned terrain.
Note: can only be used once per battle

A very nice jutsu indeed. You will take out a normal scroll, do some hand seals and bite your thumb. After that you will place your hands on the scroll and summon a huge chunk of rock from a canyon. While summoning the user will mold that canyon rock into anything they desire from it that is possible. This includes caves, mountain, large pillars, or even a huge rock plain. This can only be used once in battle. Their is many creative things you can do. You can summon a mountain behind the opponent restricting his range, this is great to get close to him. You can summon a rock on a water source blocking it, so a water expert will be without his greatest tool. Its performance is dangerous for its a little slow but the summon is as quick as a regular summon. Its a very efficient jutsu which you can alter the terrain in your favor and have complete control of the battle.

(Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description:This jutsu is used after Earth Style: Wheel of Fortune. The user will do the Boar → Monkey hand seals, slamming his hand on the ground and focusing his earth chakra. As he does this, he can change the design of the original technique. He can do this 3 times per battle.

This goes hand in hand with the technique Earth Style: Wheel of Fortune. Basically after doing two hand seals and slamming their hands on the ground they will control the change of the terrain they did to whatever is possible. So an example could be if you summoned a mountain, using this jutsu you can change it into a cave. You can switch its position as well. The control and change happens at normal speed and is very efficient to change the terrain. This controls the area at your will making it a brilliant technique and what of the very useful techs. You can only change them up 3 times in battle.

I think I understand o_O

( Doton: Taju Doryuheki ) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudwall Technique

Perform the technique:

-Sees a awesome attack heading towards me-

Looking at the awesome attack heading towards me (I know, repeat), I slam my hand on the ground while sending out earth chakra throughout the ground. Then when the attack is almost near, I quickly manipulate the earth in front of me to rise up in the air in form of a blockade while some more barricades start to rise up right in front of the first barricade taking the attack head on.

Creative uses/strengths:

I really like this technique to be honest. I kind of like defensive techniques and this is very awesome capable of taking on almost all elements upto A-Rank (excluding the weakness element of the Earth) and then turn back to the earth. Several blockades of earth can be risen up increasing the defensive power and the attacks becoming weaker and weaker until it totally disperses or hits the final blockade.

Drawbacks/counters:

Even though it might be a good jutsu, it has many drawbacks. When the blockade of earth erupts from the ground, the entire field of vision would be blocked which would make me rely upon my sense of sound or I can detect the opponent if I am a chakra sensor. The blockade can only block frontal attacks but not attacks that come from the ground or from the air. Several rocks means more area to cover so when the opponent is in short-range, this is not a ideal jutsu as I need to slam my hand on the ground to make it work properly.

(Doton: Uitenpen) - Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune

Perform the technique:

I grab a scroll form my ninja pouch and unravels it in the air and bends down to place it on the ground. Then I channel my earth chakra into both of my hands and performs the Boar → Monkey → Bird → Monkey → Ram hand seals in a series and closes my eyes to think about the feature of the rock I want to summon, it would be a huge mountain with a small cave in the middle. Opening my eyes, I slam both of my hands onto the ground while releasing chakra into it summoning a giant mountain with a small cave in the middle. The mountain was so huge that it was blocking the view between me and the tree which was supposedly some distance away from me.

Creative uses/strengths:

What I really like about this technique is that I can summon whatever huge object I want as long as I slam my hands on the ground after performing the required hand seals. This allows to me use my creativity and create mountains, hills, gorges etc. It might be a difficult job to do with the number of seals but if I am a earth specialist, it can be useful for me for defending and attacking at the same time by going on the top and doing something silly. The good thing is, I can alter the rock thing for 3 times in a battle using the Topography Control technique.

Drawbacks/counters:

The only drawback I can think of is the scroll. Don't go mad just because I didn't write up much drawbacks, that's because I can't think of any other. Well, coming to the insane point, I ermm, oh yeah! the scroll! The scroll can fly away if there is a windy place or the scroll ignites on fire by mistake or is drenched by a another human, the entire technique would turn meaningless. Hence, countering it like a boss

Questions

Where does this giant canyon come from? O_O
Can I create valleys? Like suddenly make the normal earth go downwards U_U
Can I summon the anywhere? Like if the opponent is in mid-range, I can summon it right above his head? O_O
If I summoned a insanely small pillar, can I suddenly change it into a giant mountain using the Topography Control?

(Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control

Perform the technique:

Feeling that the previously created mountain, I find out that I built the wrong one. Imagining the new version, I perform the Boar → Monkey hand seals while channeling my entire chakra into the mountain. Then I quickly channel it towards the middle part and manipulates the earth there to create a cave in it right beside the other cave. With the new mountain, I run inside it and sleeps.

Creative uses/strengths:

Even though the previous technique does not allow any alterations once created, this technique is a very important as this actually allows me to alter the thing as needed. The alteration is almost quick and even the hand seals required as very less. This even allows to change the position of the terrain which I created.

Drawbacks/counters:

The only drawback which I can think of for this technique is that once the Wheel of Fortune has been used, the said formed terrain can only be altered thrice per battle rather than infinite changes. That actually limits the usage of this technique which I kind of like.

Question

No matter I use the Wheel of Fortune multiple times, this technique can only be used 3 times overall or I can use it 3 times on a single terrain which I created?

Its a rock that comes from a giant canyon, comes out like a summon.
Hmm create a valley? I'd probably say yes, I'd have to look into it. Don't quote me.
Uhm I wouldn't think that is possible since it is meant to change the terrain, not for offensive use as a whole. I'd think you'd summon it in an open area and then manipulate the rock.
Fourth question is yes.

No matter I use the Wheel of Fortune multiple times, this technique can only be used 3 times overall or I can use it 3 times on a single terrain which I created?
Re-read the techniques and come back to me when you do, there you find the answer.

You ask questions which are great but a lot you can find answers by re-reading the descriptions a couple time to see if you missed something instead of me repeating things which you can easily find out yourself. Let's see if you do this homework right ;D

Really? Thanks o_O

Well, I can't really figure it out. It said "This jutsu is used after Earth Style: Wheel of Fortune", so one usage of that technique is done. But then, what I just realized was that the Wheel of Fortune can only be used once per battle so the usage of Topography Control sure is correct. It can only be used thrice per battle as the Wheel of Fortune can be done once. If the created terrain gets destroyed by any means, I would lose all the 3 changes so I have to use them properly.

Depends on how the opponent destroys the terrain, but yep. You use the initial summoning once and then the topography 3x. So a total of four changes to the terrain, pretty sure. Ya see a lot of these you can answer yourself. Anyway anymore questions?

(Doton: Iwa no Goremu) – Earth Release: Stone Golem
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user expels a large creature composed of stone from his mouth. The rock golem has a fair amount of stamina and brute strength, being able to bite and tear off flesh with its mouth and hands respectively. If used from above the target then the user can use the earth golem to drop down onto the opponent like a bomb and crush them. The golem can also devour earth structures and other enemy attacks, biting and chewing on it.

A very powerful technique. The user will spew out doton golem straight out their mouth. This technique can be used anywhere at any time with very quick execution which makes it a very handy technique. The user will constantly send chakra towards the golem which in turn controls the golem's movement. You can virtually do anything with the Golem, you can send it towards the opponent as a distraction, or even with force as a projectile based attack. A draw back includes the golem requires a solid base for movement, also you must remain concentrated towards the golem. I think its best to have a clone control it before hand. The golem is not the fastest runner but it has serious strength it can easily break bones with a punch and lift heavy things.

(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

Another one of my most favorite jutsus. The user after performing two hand seals will summon a mud swamp made of the same type of mud adhesive that is very sticky as well as non-flammable. You can summon the size of the mud however you want. The mud is mixed with your chakra so it will constantly sap away the opponents strength so staying in to long can knock you unconscious. The mud can easily take on more then one enemy as well. Its a great ground attack and simple to summon taking almost no time to appear. It has no serious attack ability but if you sink into the mud you will suffocate to death, this jutsu is very combo friendly as well. Its great for distraction play as well as anticipation. Lastly if you are caught the best jutsus include water jutsus that shoot you upward for evasion or even nagashi to negate the mud so you can walk through it.

(Doton: Dosenki) - Earth Release: Mudslide Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing a sequence of three hand seals Dog → Ram → Boar the user then creates a small wall of earth to rise up from the ground infront of them and cause a mud slide to form from the wall and directs it towards the enemy target/s to try engulf them.

One of my favorite jutsus. After doing the hand seals the opponent will create a small wall, a normal sized one that is slightly larger then the user. The user will then punch the ground or manipulate the wall to release a large amount of mud to slide off of the wall straight towards the opponent. Its a great jutsu to use for defense as well as attack at the same time. Its sheer size can cause terrain damage and make the area into mud. The crash is powerful enough to push the opponent back and seriously break some bones. Its great to use to stop large summons as well. Its a simple jutsu to create but it takes some time for the mud to fall off. The wall raises normally. Lastly you must be on the ground.

(Doton: Iwa no Goremu) – Earth Release: Stone Golem

Perform the technique:

Looking at the opponent removing his shirt (>_>) and showing off his muscles, I get a bit angry and focuses my earth chakra into my mouth and releases it out of my mouth while shape manipulating it into a a huge golem with hands and a mouth. The golem coming out of my mouth falls on the ground creating a huge thud shaking the earth a bit while creating a small crater. Then the golem starts heading towards the opponent while swinging it's right hand around in such a way that the opponent's ribs and other bones gets broken and flies away sideways like team rocket blasting off.

Creative uses/strengths:

What I really like about this technique is the brutal strength the golem provides me but at the cost of speed. It is quite huge so it has the capability to protect me form several techniques and I can control it like a mere puppet. Additionally, I don't need a earth source for this golem to be prepared as I can simply release it from my mouth which would be near instantaneous. I can use it to smash the ground creating a mini earthquake with a small crater created.

Drawbacks/counters:

The main drawback is the speed of the golem. It might be brutal in strength but the important thing is speed as it can't dodge all techniques like awesome! and it needs to keep contact with the ground in order to use it's functions. Also it requires constant concentration so even a slight distraction might make the entire golem to turn into a mere debris.

(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld

Perform the technique:

Seeing the opponent just make it out of the quicksand, I get angry by the sight of it and performs the Boar → Tiger hands seals while focusing my entire earth chakra beneath the opponent surrounding him in the short range radius. Then I summon a mud layer on top of the crust which starts to take over the opponent's feet making him immobile. As the opponent is unable to get out, it slowly takes him inside and when he is upto neck. He is totally immobile and then sinks even more and suffocates.

Creative uses/strengths:

When I was once fighting a opponent, he used this once and I escaped it using Chidori Nagashi. From that time, I was interested in the abilities and the advantages of using this technique. It basically forms a sticky mud layer above the crust which is so sticky that stepping in it can cause the foot to get stuck. Along with that, the range and the radius of the technique can be controlled by me. This can be best used as a distraction or when the opponent falls on the ground so he won't be able to perform even a single technique. I could also make the mud more stickier by using a water technique on it so it will be even more difficult for the opponent to counter.

Drawbacks/counters:

This might be a pretty useful technique but is overused all the time. Many people try to counter this fail all the time to make it work properly. Like the user of Nagashi should be touching the mud so the unfocused lightning can properly touch the mud to negate it entirely. Using a focused lightning technique would be better but going upwards can make it really tough for him. The mud will just stay there unless he does something like a powerful fire technique to harden the mud or uses a lightning technique to actually break it and rip it apart.

Question

If the opponent is within the mud totally suffocating, can he perform Chidori Nagashi that time or he can't even mold chakra?
How come a person can sink in it when the mud layer would be pretty thing considering it is just right above the crust of the earth?
What water technique and of what rank I can use the water tech on the mud to make it even more stickier?

(Doton: Dosenki) - Earth Release: Mudslide Technique

Perform the technique:

Seeing the opponent escape the swamp of the underworld and pretty tired, I perform a sequence of 3 hand seals (Dog → Ram → Boar) and manipulates the earth before my feet to rise up in the air in form of a small wall just slightly larger than my height. With the wall raised, I manipulate it to suddenly release a huge mud wave which starts to cover all the ranges making the entire sticky while the opponent being hit by the mudslide is washed away a long distance with several broken bones within his body.

Creative uses/strengths:

This is a cool technique which has both attack and defense mechanism. If I were to be attacked, I can just summon the wall to take the attack or I could make the earth flow and take the attack head on. This is like two in one technique. Also, the number of hand seals and the wall rising up is pretty fast making it a reliable jutsu. Once the mud has been launched, it has the capability to cover the entire battlefield upto mid-range and make the ground sticky slowing down the opponent's speed drastically. This mud can also hit the opponent with such sheer force that several bones will be broken in his body at one go.

Drawbacks/counters:

Even though the rising of the wall can be pretty quick, initiating the mud attack can be a real pain. It can't suddenly force out all of a sudden in one go and requires some time for the entire mud to come out. Before the mud even reaches near the opponent, he can rip it apart using a powerful lightning technique or use a fire technique to harden it in place making a mini-hill. Also, the mud wall actually blocks the field of vision of the user making it a bit difficult to predict the opponent's movements. Lastly, this can only protect me from frontal attacks and not attacks from downward or upwards.

Questions

If the mud successfully covers the battlefield, can it be able to sink the opponent just like the previous technique?
If not, the opponent must be slowed down tremendously when running on the mud so how much base speed does he lose?
Up to what height the mudslide can reach up to?

Yes. Depends on just how deep they make it. And yes again.

To an extent, meh I don't really mess with the speed chart since it raises issues, it will just slow you down to considerably. I would say 10 meters probably 15.

(Doton: Dochubaku) - Earth Release: Landslide Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra to create the earth infront of them to turn to a lose like quality by slamming his hands on the ground to create a landslide that is directed towards the enemy target in the form of a wave of earth.

A basic tech but is pretty nice. The user will quickly, with no hand seals manipulate the earth upfront on them to loosen its quality almost making it more softer. With a slam of the hands on the ground they will manipulate the ground to quickly form into a wave of tough debris and mud which creates almost a landslide which is sent towards the opponent like a wave of earth. It has the destructive property to easily cut and push down trees with ease and still continue forward. Its a very fast moving technique, hard to evade. Its also location based, its best to use in a forest. Its a loud technique so not so good for snick attacks neither.

(Doton: Kujo Joushou Iwa Chuuseki) - Earth Release: Destructive Rising Rock Pillars
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: This jutsu causes gigantic pillars of rock to forcefully emerge from the ground. This is a even greater scaled Earth Release: Rising Spikes and is large enough to impale a summoning technique.

A simple but quite the effective jutsu indeed. The user will summon a gigantic pillar of rock to forcefully emerge from the ground around any location the user desires. Its quite the large jutsu and difficult to evade when it begins to emerge. It makes a loud noise as well as the ground will become dense signalling it rising so that can be a window of evasion. Its great to use for combos to attack in all flanks of the opponent. If the opponent is caught the will be hurt as well as launched in the air with force, mid-air they are left vulnerable and open for attacks. Its a great jutsu to use against summons and is tall enough to attack an opponent air-borne. The pillar when it begins to rises is very fast as well as while it rises you can go onto the next tech. Simple evasions as well as cracking the large pillar using lightning would be best.

(Doton: Chidokaku) - Earth Release: Moving Earth Core
Rank: A
Type: Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and lowers or raises the ground in the surrounding area at high speeds, allowing them to create giant holes in the ground or avoid attacks. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered to is up to the user and rasing earth can be done up to 20 meters tall creating a small cliff or they can create trenches that can be as deep as 20 meters. Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

Okay this is a handy jutsu indeed. The user will have complete control of the ground and will be able to raise or lower the ground by 20 meters. With it you can create walls to block attacks or evade them. You can capture enemies by lowering the ground. Also a note is in the manga when used against Madara he actually stumbled due to the sudden rise of the ground, so you can easily catch an opponent off and have a clone or ally send an attack making life difficult for the opponent. You can alter the terrain as well with it. It has no serious offensive abilities but its main purpose is the supplement yourself in battle. Also for every time you move the ground it counts as a turn so be weary. Also by the time the ground fully erects it will take several seconds. (3-5s) depending just how high you set it. 20 meters is the limit but you have control just how long you want to raise it.

(Doton: Dochubaku) - Earth Release: Landslide Technique

Perform the technique:

Hating the clone who seems to escape a landslide all the time, I send my earth chakra into the earth present in front me successfully infused it with my chakra. Then slam my hands onto the ground while I alter the earth's properties in such a way that it becomes entirely loose just like a handful of sand. Taking that as an advantage, I rise the loosened earth upwards in air and with a simple hand gesture (for style), sends the said earth forwards in form a landslide which soon starts covering a wide range destroying everything in it's way. Finally, the opponent waiting for the landslide, is hit by it making him wash away along with that burying him alive.

Creative uses/strengths:

Since this technique is very wide, the chances of escaping it by the opponent would be really slim. Just like you said, using it in forest would be really powerful as the trees would be uprooted as well as fall on the opponent making the landslide even more deadlier, basically, this technique can clear out a entire forest when used within a forest. It has the capability to even reach upto long range so it is a pretty good one.

Drawbacks/counters:

Oh well, I really can't think of any disadvantages for this technique except that it reacts a earth source before hand or other sources like metal or sand won't even work at all. The turning of the soil into a loose content can be detected by Doujutsu users and Sensory ninjas. I need to slam my hands on the ground so I can perform a counter before that and I can stop the earth from being loosely formed by using the Swamp of the Underworld so it doesn't rise up into the land slide (opponent wise.)

Question

If the entire terrain was sand, can I still create a landslide?
It doesn't rise up in form a pillar and then turn into a landslide so how exactly does it work? Like the earth turns loose and rises up in the air and then heads towards the opponent like a landslide?

(Doton: Kujo Joushou Iwa Chuuseki) - Earth Release: Destructive Rising Rock Pillars

Perform the technique:

Seeing the opponent sending a summoning (taking it as Toad) towards me, I focus my earth chakra in large amounts just before the summon and makes it quickly rise a 5 pillars in series which would eventually hit the summon as it speeds towards the pillars and make it rise high up into the air where it would fall down at great speed thereby killing it.

Creative uses/strengths:

Not only I can use this to attack the opponent, I can also use this to defend myself if the opponent is going to do a jutsu and I am fast enough to assume that he is going to do "that" technique and defend against the attack and rising the pillars in such a way that it would destroy the attack. I am allowed to rise the pillars in any way I want giving me a great use of it. Like I can even rise pillars surrounding the opponent creating a prison and then quickly use Earth Spikes to stop him from moving sideways making him trapped within it and get him killed if he does not manage to escape in time. Once the pillars start to rise, I no longer would need focus on it so I can move on with my next techniques immediately.

Drawbacks/counters:

Since the pillars are really huge, they shake the earth a bit before actually rising up giving the opponent some time to dodge the technique. The pillars if used before the opponent and in case he escapes backwards, I won't be able to see him at all making me a bit confused on his location or whereabouts. Also, it can only be used when the opponent is in mid or long range so defending against an attack using this would be pretty tough and I might as well adapt to other techniques to defend with.

Questions

How height and wide are the pillars?
Up to how many pillars can I create?

(Doton: Chidokaku) - Earth Release: Moving Earth Core

Perform the technique:

Seeing the opponent go mad and dancing like a idiot, I slam my hands onto the ground while sending my earth chakra through it towards the opponent surrounding him upto short-range from him. Then I manipulate the earth surrounding the opponent to suddenly rise up high into the air (15 meters) making the drunkard to fall of the balance and fall on the ground with great speed cracking some of the bones within his body.

Creative uses/strengths:

I love this jutsu. I really like the part that I can alter the terrain in anyway I want just like the Topography Control. I can make a deep pit on the ground which I can then use to fill it with water creating a water source for me when required. I can even make the ground rise high up in the air giving me some advantage of making the opponent fall on the ground from great height or make a pit below the opponent making him to fall into it which also damages his body. Also, it extends upto Long range making it a ideal technique. Since the pit would be large, I can use it to make a summon fall into the underground.

Drawbacks/counters:

I think I need to keep my hands on the ground in order to change the terrain in the way I wish. Also, before the technique happens, my opponent can feel the vibrations within the ground helping him to dodge it using a simple technique like a wind technique which propels him in any direction (requires to be airborne, I know). Even if I created a pit, it would be a difficult task for me to fill it up with water as the opponent can make a counter to it.

Question

I know this question can be answered within the description, can I actually create a pit right below the opponent making him fall into it?
The technique has only specified the height of the technique but what about the radius and the range?

Yes and not sure how actually in the anime it was kinda hard to notice.

How height and wide are the pillars?
Up to how many pillars can I create?
Quite tall actually I'd say 20 meters high max and width I'm not sure probably a 5 meter radius. As many as you want but remember the more the less chakra each have hence power as well.

I know this question can be answered within the description, can I actually create a pit right below the opponent making him fall into it?
The technique has only specified the height of the technique but what about the radius and the range?
I mean it depends if he is on ground then he is going down along with the ground but if he is in mid-air and he is falling you can lower the ground to create a pit. As large as you want, just don't get caught in your own jutsu.

(Doton: Kajugan no Jutsu): Earth Style: Added Weight Rock Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Range: short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A (up to +20 if used to add damage)
Description: The user will perform the Snake handseal and touch a given target (he needs to use his hands in most cases but can release the technique through his whole body if needed) for a small time frame. Upon doing so, he'll use the earth chakra to increase the weight of the target drastically. The technique can increase the targets weight up to 10 times. One interesting side effect of the technique is that when its used on wood based techniques (such as Zetsu's spore clones or normal wood), the infusion of large amounts of earth chakra into it will actually petrify the target in addition to increasing its weight. A similar effect can be achieved in other earthen materials such as mud. The user can also add weight to a given attack (if feasible) to increase both momentum and impact force, effectively adding damage to it.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.

One of the very unique and famous jutsus. The user will perform one hand seal and staying in contact with the object he will insert his doton chakra into the object and manipulate it in a way that the very same object will increase in mass. This will increase the weight of the object up to ten times more then the usual weight. This can easily restrict that very object or persons movement dramatically. Moving will be almost impossible. Also a very important note is They cannot petrify water or anything other than earthen materials such as mud and Wood techniques. In all other cases, only weight is added. So energy based attacks will not added in weight. Also this can easily be used on oneself or object to increase its power and impact. So its awesome for close range but you will sacrifice your speed because of it. Unless releasing the jutsu itself then the weight will remain on the object and/or person for two turns. Its a good jutsu but has many drawbacks as well be sure to use wisely.

(Doton: Keijugan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Light Weight Rock Technique
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A (up to -20 if used to boost speed of a physical attack)
Description: Contrary to its counterpart (the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique), instead of making the target heavier, this technique makes it much lighter, though still using the same principle and mechanics. The user will make direct contact with the given target (through his hands), infusing them with earth chakra and lowering their weight drastically. The technique can lower a targets weight up to 10 times less than it originally had. This allows freer manipulation of the affected objects, which would normally carry considerably more weight and as such, require a greater amount of exertion to move. The technique can be used on the user or other shinobi to increase their speed, but as a consequence of using it this way, it results in the decrease of the physical force of their blows. The same principle applies if used on a physical attack wich will be faster but will carry less momentum and as such, less physical damage. It doesn't change the "strength" of binding techniques (like Sand Release), where the user is manipulating a dynamic element but will decrease the impact damage of techniques that rely on it.
Note: The initial effects last for 2 turns or until countered.

The polar opposite of the previous jutsu. Instead of gaining mass this jutsu acts to lower the mass of the object or person up to ten times lighter then the usual weight. This jutsu when used in battle either lowering your own mass or a mass of an object exchanges the impact power for blazing speed. Its a great tool to use for fast attacks and pressuring the opponent. You can also increase your own speed to evade certain attacks with ease. Also a very important note is They cannot petrify water or anything other than earthen materials such as mud and Wood techniques. Its another risky jutsu, you might have speed but due to so little mass you will have less of an impact in certain jutsus as well as most taijutsus. Be very weary of that.
