Drinking alchohol

I have always asked myself.. Why do people keep drinking and buying, and wasting most of their earnings on alchohol.. Men specially do this, when lets face it, alchohol tastes like crap.. I rather enjoy a good glass of lemonade than drink something as gross like alchohol.. I have always thought people, specially men drink alchohol, to get their "macho" personality flowing. so they look cool, and manly, etc. I mean a lot of people that drink have actually told me that they dont like one bit how alchohol taste, but there they are drinking away... I mean how far do people go to look cool, or macho, or just to fit in, to spend tons of money on a beverage that tastes so horrible, is beyond my understanding..

I myself don'y like the taste as you mentioned but I still drink from time to time. I don't do it to look cool either I just do it when I'm with family and I wanna be relaxed and have a good time. I'm in my teen years but still not really doing it to show off. And also about the taste.. after a few beers or glasses of w.e your drinking for me at least I stop tasting it.

Well A.) not all alcohol taste bad some drinks dont even taste like it would be an alcoholic drink like Mikes hard lemonade or Smirnoffs(sp?) B.) I drink certain types of alcohol, but I hate beer therefor I dont buy or drink beer. and as he just said above me: after awhile you dont taste it anymore

hmm i take it your not the legal age, onces you grow up then you will find a liking to it, there are some beers i like such as kokanee coors light and mgd, got a nice refreshing taste to it, unlike Budweiser which is just plane nasty. but hmm its fun being drunk with your friends just makes the night alot more exciting, and laugh about it the next morning

Im 20 years old, but I have always thought alchohol tastes like crap. But i get if people do it ocasionally on social ocasions, and i think I get it when people want to get buzzed or drunk, as the world starts spinning around you, and when youre buzzed or drunk you lose almost all of youre original shiness for a moment, so I could understand that

I'm about 20 but i never drink and never like it but most of my frnd drinking alchohal in a large quantity. When they r full then they dont know that what they r doing. They just get out of control. Then i take them one by on on my arms and put them on their bed/room.

i was drinking today night with 2friends and it was fun, the thing it does to me is that i speak more and its easier to make me laugh :| (i do know when to stop and i can still think rationaly when drunk)

well once in a while you have to relax and stop worrying for a bit and drinking a few glasses (as long as you dont overdo it) help you have a good time

it's an acquired taste for some, some go for the buzz, some want to show off that they can handle it ... Some end up in the road side drains. Soime vomitting in their car ... And some really lucky ones get alchohalic and die soon leaving a large amonut of insurance money for their life partner.

Yes i have gotten drunk, about two times in my life, as a teen when I was experimenting ways of life.. And the taste is horrible.. I mean why not relax another way... But I kind of get why people think alchohol= fun as thats how society has put the word alchohol, and yeah it helps you relax... But for me it sucks that to relax, you have to endure a horrible taste, zip after zip of terrible stuff

People dont drink alcohol to "taste" it, they drink it to warm up there body in cold weather,or say relax by getting all the annoying things out of your head, to chill with your friends.

Its not a bad thing to drink alcohol, its bad to get drunk while doing it.Knowing your limit is important unless you want to be like this guy:

It Tastes Delicious. There are multiple Wine's and Beer with all different Flavor's, it's true that you do it to chill with friends and such, but it's not only to warm up our body in Cold weather and such, it's just good sometime's and it's just Delicious, easy. And people know their limit's, and other don't. And i do know my limit's, because i just do it with my friends, doing it with my parent's is just Disrespectful since i'm at young age, even though, they know that i Drink.
