Drinking alchohol

Do you seriously believe that? That it has that much to do with taste? Sure, it's an acquired taste that people eventually come to enjoy... but did you completely forget the fact that it's a drug? That it stimulates certain things, gets you high on euphoria. Dude, most people drink to get drunk. I like beer because I like the taste, but when I really get on the bottle (booze and so on) it's to get wasted... or at the very least get some sort of effect from the actual stimulants that are in alcohol.


I prefer smoking weed over alcohol anyway... don't have to consume all those liquids.

You're only looking one side of it. Macho thing might be true but there's so much more to it. Alcohol gives you so much enjoyment in your life that it's too temptating. And also girls do drink alot so it's not just the men.

All and all alcohol is way to relax, relieve stress, have fun, get ***, loosen your boundaries, be alive, have new friends, have great experiences and laugh to all of those afterwards!

So something like taste is irrelevant, you'll get used to it, and there are also many "lemonade tasting" drinks.

I have always asked myself.. Why do people keep drinking and buying, and wasting most of their earnings on alchohol.. Men specially do this, when lets face it, alchohol tastes like crap.. I rather enjoy a good glass of lemonade than drink something as gross like alchohol.. I have always thought people, specially men drink alchohol, to get their "macho" personality flowing. so they look cool, and manly, etc. I mean a lot of people that drink have actually told me that they dont like one bit how alchohol taste, but there they are drinking away... I mean how far do people go to look cool, or macho, or just to fit in, to spend tons of money on a beverage that tastes so horrible, is beyond my understanding..

When drinking it gives a special atmosphere with the people you're with, which often makes you happier, and you talk and cheer alot with your friends or w.e you're drinking with. And as it have been mentioned earlier, not all alchohol tastes bad, some tastes good and some bad, it differs between each person's tastesbuds. So basically when people go out and drink it is to have fun, to have fun within the people around them and create a good atmosphere where everybody can be cheerish and happy. >_O Though of course with good times there will also follow bad times.

I personally drink mostly beer. I drink it because I like it and because I enjoy it. Other sorts of alcohol, I don't drink a lot because I don't like their taste and if I do drink them it's because there is nothing other to drink or I'm already drunk as hell

The more you drink in your life, the easier you will know what you like and what don't.
So it's not that problematic if it tastes bad, you'll find something what you like.

Everyone has different tastes. I for example, don't like lemonade. It actually makes me thirstier. As for the "why", i for example like a good Red Wine with meat or a Beer with see food or a Martini at night.

Now, if you are talking about alcoholism, that is a different thing. Alchool in itself isn't a bad thing, its the excess consumption of it that makes it a bad thing.
