i say "simple, physical contact" because Zetsu can manipulate their body. They can merge with the earth, and their surroundings. Zetsu is different from a syringe full of rich DNA from the actual body of Senju Hashirama.

Madara directly administers DNA sample from Hashirama.

Zetsu is a watered down, weaker clone from Hashirama.

Zetsu has ability to merge but they cannot (as far as we can tell) take their own DNA and inject it into a subject.

That's why i say "simple, physical contact" because they can merge with whatever they want. They CANT insert their DNA though. At least that's the way I look at it.

would seem that way if it requires senju dna but even thought it was a transplanted eye nagato wield it perfect it with no drawbacks one could say senju dna is similar to uzumaki dna.

No he does not. I can see why you think that, but what the Zetsu were to him in comparison to what Madara did are different. Madara literally injected Hashirama's direct DNA (As opposed to the diluted versions known as Zetsu). The Zetsu were ON Sasuke, not in him and in would not intertwine with his DNA.

Actually Transcendence, White-Zetsu isn't a diluted portion of Hashirama's DNA. Madara cultivated a portion of the genetic material he stole from Hashirama with the chakra from the Gedō Mazō; in essence it is the same material he implanted into his chest. The spores however were also implanted within Sasuke and as a highly resistant unicellular reproductive body that is capable of birth into a new organism----if they were not implanted then Jūgo would have had no reason to fuel Sasuke with Shizen Enerugī. It has already been stated that they were inside of him. I subjectively doubt they mingled with his genetic makeup though, but it and Orochimaru may all be a foreshadowing by Masashi:

Now if you payed attention in Human Bio, you would know that not much of a person DNA is needed, just a fraction of hair or a finger nail has enough DNA on it.


6Zetsu was inside of sasuke.

I think Sasuke has Senju Based on the 6 Zetsu placed inside of him.

I also think it was a backup plan for obito.
