Does Sasuke Feel Bad About What He's Doing?

Like, the entire chapter, he didn't seem like his usual insane self, in fact, for most of it he seemed contemplative, perhaps, even sullen. I saw this when the previous kages were being sent back to the pure realm, he seemed to be looking away from Hashirama, almost like he was ashamed. I think, on some level, no matter how much of a jerk he is, he doesn't really want to fight Naruto.

Obito thought the IT was right, but it's shown (at least in the anime) he regretted some of his actions, such as ensuring Nagato's fall. Just because you're doing what you think is right, doesn't mean you can't regret what you did to achieve it.

Thank you, the current Five Kage aren't like the previous ones, they've all fought side by side, see each other less as enemies now, I doubt they'd go back to being fierce rivals so easy. The problem is, Sasuke is like all the other villains, he only sees the darkness in everything, not to mention he has that whole "Murder Solves Everything" philosophy. Honestly, all he would accomplish by killing the Five Kage would be creating total anarchy, which would be just like Hashirama and Madara's time, perhaps worse.

Thank you, the current Five Kage aren't like the previous ones, they've all fought side by side, see each other less as enemies now, I doubt they'd go back to being fierce rivals so easy. The problem is, Sasuke is like all the other villains, he only sees the darkness in everything, not to mention he has that whole "Murder Solves Everything" philosophy. Honestly, all he would accomplish by killing the Five Kage would be creating total anarchy, which would be just like Hashirama and Madara's time, perhaps worse.

I think he did try to understand him. Kishimoto drew his face in almost every page a panel when Hashirama, Madara, Naruto had a comment. He tried it, but he's too stubborn.
