Itachi is responsible for Sasuke's pain. He should've killed Sasuke when he had the chance on the night of the massacre. At least then Sasuke would be at peace. But Itachi's selfishness got in the way if you ask me. This begs the question; does Sasuke deserve BETTER than Itachi? I'd say so.

It isn't selfish to let your brother live. Pain makes people grow strong. What Itachi did was the best for sasuke. He gave sasuke a chance to grow strong, a chance to live. I think it's better to learn to deal with the pain than give up on life altogether.
And Itachi was 13 for god's sake! No 13-year-old could've done better, besides his parents' last words was for him to take care of sasuke. I admit not everything itachi did worked out as planned but all this time he did what he thought was best for sasuke and that makes him the best brother anyone could have.
Sasuke reacted like any normal person would.

Love, pain, hatred, death, love. It's a cycle. Itachi and Sasuke were siblings of ill destiny. If only Itachi wasn't an ANBU Root member, he wouldn't have to be that way for Sasuke. If Itachi hadn't been there, Uchiha would have been raped by Konoha maybe little ones left alive but that would be even more disastrous for Sasuke.....Itachi killed the clan so that Uchiha's rep would not be affected and made Sasuke a mercenary so that he could become stronger and hold his ground against stronger enemies....
Itachi let him live, made him stronger, died for Sasuke's EMS and despite of Sasuke's bad behaviour always loved him....

Even i am Itachi fan but its Clear Minato is Smartest. He found about about Tobi's ability came up with a Plan to defeat him & he was the first person to realise Naruto is Child of Prophecy & that too before he died. Jiraiya figured that out when he was about to die but Minato figured that out Before he was going to die & plus He Sacrificed himself for the same reason.

OT: itachi is among the best type of brother anyone in anime life require(not in real life)... it was sasuke who was volatile and got influence by tobi otherwise sasuke would have returned to thew village as a hero

Itachi has protected Sasuke his whole life, he's sarificed his own life for the good of the shinobi world. The fact that Sasuke has to deal with all this emotional trauma is unfortunate but if he overcomes it then he will be at peace.

Sasuke has to take some responsibility and solve his problems on his own.

How much emotinal pain and trauma do you think Itachi had to tolerate when he was ordered to kill his parents, his entire clan?

I feel sorry for Sasuke but he needs to grow up.

I agree with you. No, Itachi does not deserve a brother like Sasuke. Itachi created the monster that is Sasuke through his lies, torture, and--above all--selfishness. He may have kept him alive under the guise of protection, love, and redeeming the Uchiha clan but death would have been the greatest mercy he could give Sasuke.

I do think Itachi loves Sasuke but if he loved him more he would have spared him that experience and wiped him out along with the other Uchihas.

I'm neither an Itachi fan or Sasuke fan, just thinking about the issue reasonably. Anybody who quickly dismisses Sasuke's motivations and actions, I believe, only have a surface level of understanding of him as a character. And anybody who readily accepts Itachi as having no part in Sasuke's tortured existence only has a surface level understanding of him as a character and the direct implications of his actions.
