Guy is one of the fastest people in the series, and managed to take down a weakened Kisame without Samehada by using the gates. In no way does that mean that Tsunade could to the same thing against a full powered Kisame with Samehada. Bringing ranks into this is pointless, by that logic I could say that Naruto could be taken down by Iruka.

Um, no, Kisame can't defeat Jiraiya.
Kisame is one of the best ( if not the best ) Suiton user in the entire manga, however the same can be said about Jiraiya's massive Katons.
He can use the boss toads as a counter against his Suiton attacks. It can work against the WD too.

@TEO- I hate to admit, but Kisame beats Tsunade. Her only chance is a straight punch in Kisame's face, but I doubt she can land that hit.

Kisame would beat Jiraiya as Jiraiya has no counter for Water Release: Great Shark Bullet Technique. The chakra from Jiraiya's techniques would simply be absorbed, and he'd be overtaken by the then enlarged Shark.
Not to mention Samehada can absorb a lot of Jiraiya's chakra if he gets a good hit in...
Kisame's simply a bad match-up for Jiraiya.

The rank arguments also don't work for one simple reason, which is how the ranks should be organized. What about the Akatsuki ? The Kage ? The Sannin ? If you place the Sannin above the Akatsuki and Kage because Oro wins Zetsu or Mei, you'd still be facing the fact that guys like Hashirama or Itachi could easily take out Tsunade or Jiraiya. The ranks simply don't work because the people in each rank differ in power, with Mei and Hashirama, Ebisu and Guy, Itachi and Hidan, and Tsunade and Oro being examples.

In conclusion, rank arguments are bull.

Not the main character. Yes, he's a main character, but by that persons logic, Kakashi should be inferior, as he has an inferior rank. I don't know why you're trying to debate this, when I just gave you examples on how that logic fails... Hmm

Tsukuyomi one shots. Raikage always looks into his opponents eyes. Check vs Sasuke, Madara, Minato and pretty much any fight he's had. Besides, has Ei showed the ability to fight while looking down? I don't think so. Gai is only able to do so because he trains at it, having Kakashi (Sharingan master) as a rival.

His boss summons are more then enough to take Kisame down.

What? Since when did he almost defeat Pein? You must be joking. He did so poorly against a single offensive path and got slaughtered the second Asura jumped him. Deva makes up for 90% of Nagato's power as all paths have to be literally put on hold for healing or shut down completely for heavy hitting techniques.

Meanwhile, Jiraiya's taijutsu blinded and blitzed a Pain Path, who are way above Kisame in taijutsu.
