[Discussion] Do you have best friends?

I have one best friend I have known for over 10 years, we've only had 1 minor argument and I share everything with her... she's pretty awesome

I have friends. I used to consider some ones best friends once...now i don't anymore. Best friends are not real, they never were, at least these days. There's no such thing as real friendships, friends that would sacrifice something of their own for your sake. People just go with you, put well with you and then, when they reached what they were looking for, they backstab you and leave you in denial...U_U

I got sick of this...and i always say i won't be good everytime...because you get nothing in exchange for your goodness, only bad things. You can't trust anyone but yourself...i don't say you should live a lonely life, but it's better to have "friends" that could help you sometimes (you always need something you can't achieve alone), even if you know they are not real friends..

I Experienced it too but i have a best friend and we used to have problems but it's just happens we both forgive each other and move on now we don't even have problem you just have to give chances no friendship is perfect and i don't usually give chances to people but i did that time since i been best friends with him since 4th grade.

No, that's not what I mean. I've seen comments on here, with people saying they have like no friends..... it's kind of depressing.

When I was in high school I had 3 dreams:

- I want to go into one of these worlds that I Idolize (bleach, harry potter, lord of the rings, naruto...)
- I want to have a girlfriend
- I want to have worthy best friends

I'm 19 and since last year I acknowledged that I was granted one of my wishes! The best friends thingy

- I have a friend in my street that I used to grow up with. We never really bonded that much, but over the years we started to hang out more and now we have a strong band, made out of the long time we already know eachother, and we can be just the way we truly are with eachother and laugh about it and even call eachother the worst possible names without any issues ^^ He moved a couple of years ago, but that didnt stop us.

- Another one of my best friends is a person I used to attent 3 years high school with, before I changed schools. It was only in the third school, after 2 of our 'just friends' left who we were with in a little group of 4 boys. At first i liked the other two more, but then we started relying on eachother more and now it's 8 years since I met him and we're also best friends.

- In my second high school I got bullied and was sometimes lonely. Had a tough time going through it, but that also made me stronger, and I already was stronger from former bullies. I pulled through and I don't even remember how I met him, while he was in another class, but we took the same bus on our way home and started seeing eachother more often. We had fun together and grew closer and closer. We really could say the most stupidest things at eachother and drivel a lot, so we got best friends quickly, even though he's really popular and I'm not. Everyone thought it was weird, but we just started hanging out more together. When we finished school, I thought it was a challenge for our friendship, but one year after graduation we're still best friends.

- My mom has a friend from back in her day, and she also has a son. So when we grew up and they would meet, we saw eachother sometimes but never really got close. Than a year and a half ago when we shared some same interests on the internet and started talking more, he invited me to his birthday and I met his whole pack of friends (4 other guys). I really felt calm in their pressence and bonded fast with them. We had a laugh and a blast and then started to go in a group to parties together. In just this year and a half we even went on holiday already together!

When I realized that I had them, and bullying quit beign a factor in my life, I never felt much happier.
I don't know if anyone will read all of this, but, yes, I have best friends, and a whole pack of them now ^^
Just wait, meet people, and you'll find them. I started dating this one girl now as well, just got back from our 3rd date actually, and I'm thinking she might even be my future girlfriend! ^^

Holy shit, there really are a lot of bitter people on here. Just because you bonded with the wrong people, friendship suddenly doesn't exist? Just branch out and meet some new people, and this time go with people who enjoy being around you, instead of going for ones who just tolerate you.

Listen man , i know it sucks when people betrayed you , i have a hard time trusting people too , you've just been hanging with the wrong people or were .........one day you'll find one friend that is worth it .
