It's simply easier to hate on feminism than other such classifications based on skin colour since after all it's just a bunch of 'women'. Otherwise there are genuine feminine issues which need a voice and people who work for it. And there are also some opportunists who are looking for personal profit and trying to use the movement for their personal benefit like any other such group which play race card or minority card or simply are fraudulent.

Unfortunately opportunists people from the other side instead of throwing out their sister opportunists and ignoring them as the need be, try to use them to kill the movement itself in their own turn.

Oh my is this thread escalating. And no, all feminist certainly aren't annoying as the media portrays them to be. It's like asking if all cops discriminate. That certainly isn't the case and the same goes for feminist. Some are actually respectable level headed individuals. Myself included

I think, like many liberal things, the name has been hijacked. Feminists nowadays equates to militant man hating women rights supporters and THAT is what the board saying yes to. All the fault of the NOW members that let that organization get hijacked by lesibians who brought militant gay rights fervor to the femisist movement IMHO.

Just look at how other language hijacking has occurred. Gay used to mean happy. Then it meant homosexual man (men only), and that why LBGT the G meant homosexual men. Nowadays the men that stole the word gay for their own use have found that lesibians have at least joint joint custody to that word as it includes them as well.

So sorry if you are a member of the reasonable school of feminism and just want an equal (not an oversized reparations sized punishment) share of freedom and life. But your and your ilk will need to find a new term to describe yourselves as in our current vernacular "Feminist" seems to have been irrevocably tainted.

Nope, feminazis aren't feminists, they're just people using equal rights as an excuse for their bs. Feminism is about equal rights and from some of the feminists I've seen, they're not really monsters people make them out to be out of fear.

We complain about blaming religion coz of people misusing it all the time, this is the same case.

All of the hate in this thread is for feminazis, not the idea of equality, similarly how you hate terrorists for using religion as an excuse, not religion itself. But I've been saying this for ages, people only understand that racism and sexism is wrong and not that prejudice in general is, and that those two are just two - isms that are popular. This case is similar, fear rules you.
