I believe people believe they are in love at first sight. When you factor in all of the components that makes love (i.e., intimacy, sacrifice, friendship, commitment, and whatever else you can think of) how can any one person be so sure it's love and not spontaneous attraction?

I think you just found her extremely attractive. I personally don't believe in love at first sight. In my opinion love begins to happen when you know someones flaws and weakness (we all have them). As it has been said looks are important but they are fleeting, a personality is forever. You fall in love with someone's personality and looks, but when it's just about the looks it is lust.

I believe you found her attractive to such a point that you wanted her to notice you, you liked her, she was fine, but I don't consider it love, I'm sure if you saw some hot ass celebrity walking down the road, you might have looked at her in the exact same way. Love is forever and is enormously rare, humans as a species do not bond for life, we just try to, 99% of all so called love stories are just a chemical reaction in the brain causing intense attraction and a temporary attachment, real love does exist but most of us will never experience it.
