So, I have been thinking a lot on this subject. When Al qaida(do not know how to spell it) flew those two plains into the twin towers it was called a "Terror-attack". But when USA bombs Libya, Afghanistan, and many other countries, it is called "A war for peace". Where is the justice in this? Do not other countries get to fight back at USA? I hope you have some good answers to this.

I agree.

Also I recieved this messege on FB.

"If the person who killed 100+ people in Norway were Muslim, the Press would have declared him as a terrorist. For now though, he is just an 'Assailant ', 'Attacker' (Reuters), 'Gunman' (BBC, CNN & Al Jazeera). Looks like 'Terrorist ' is a name reserved for Muslims? The US Dept of State calls it an 'Act of Violence', Not an 'Act of Terrorism'. Share this status and let the world know, stop the hypocrisy!!"

So there's no justice in seeking revenge for the deaths of thousands of Americans?

The reason we bombed Afghanistan is because they were run by a terrorist and corrupt government, and were harboring terrorists. Nobody wants to see another 9/11 and the US government was trying to insure that.

As for Iraq, we took a man who was killing millions of his own people out of power. Wow that was a really bad thing for the US to do.

I really hate all the prejudice about "the US is dumb," "the American's are animals." There's a reason we're the strongest country in the world.

There are a Few candidates who Villa dethrone you

And how is what You did to a country because Of a few terrorists more just than 911?

Most countryes have terrorists yet your media ensist to focus on the middle east

I like The US but they should sometimes stay out Of things im not saying Dont try to eradicate the terrorists but we simply need to take A different approach

What happen in 9/11 was a tragic thing in the US but what US did in the middle east has been responsible for many innocents death and more than the amount that were killed in 9/11 (somewhere between 200 000 to 500 000 innocent have died in the middle east maybe even more).

In the US their is Mafia's, gangs, serial killer, all kinds of murders, drugs and what not does that make it, ok for other country to bomb to get rid of these people or even just terrorize the nation? No, so the same goes with the US. The US is in debt right now due to the amount they have spent on their army reason of you guys being one of the strongest.

i do believe we have the right to bring justice to the asses that like to attack countries, but that doesnt mean we should go killing innocent people. think opf it like this: the people at 9/11 were innocent, and we got upst when they died. that's how those people in those countries feel

Well let me ask you something.

How do you suggest we fight the war on terror?
I'll be honest, I don't got an answer to your question but what the US government and army have done and are doing now is not the key/answer to your question either.

All around the world we have Mafia, gangs and etc we see the law dealing with them but they don't blow up or cause havoc upon an entire city yet alone the country but to deal with a couple of no good criminals/terrorist the US government/army have dropped bombs upon the entire city/country and killed more innocents than terrorist.

Most terrorist are formed because of what is happening in the middle east all they are doing is trying to defend their country, family and people but because their from middle east and Muslim they are tagged as terrorist.

If you lost anyone close to you in front of your eyes, what would you have done? Even if it was from army (US, Canada, Russia, Germany, etc).

I am not against USA, neither am I for USA, I just want to know what everyone here thinks about war and vengeance.
Don't get me wrong but in this topic where political systems, religions, beliefs and peace/terrorism is questioned, there will be a lot of insulting posts towards certain religion. You're new - if you check some thread like Muslims=Terrorism, you'll know what I'm talking about (though almost 25 people's posts were infracted and a lot deleted by mods)
Your intention is pure but on NB, though most people understand/respect people's post, there might be a lot of flaming. I just hope that this doesn't occur. These kinds of threads usually brings out more hate than peace, just like terror acts.
We'll see how this thread goes but I'm refraining myself from any comments for now. Perhaps later on...

I agree with you. America does tons of stupid things in the name of "peace" and other things of that nature. I say that as an American...I'm kinda ashamed of my country sometimes. But yeah it doesn't make much sense and is hypocritical. Plus the amount of money is costing the already debt riddled government....wth. It's totally irresponsible and leads to much more negative things than positive things.

Agree with you there MS Itachi. I can't say how annoyed I was when somehow the attacks in Oslo somehow didn't seem fall into the category of terror attack. The moment they found out the guy was actually a white man from Norway, somehow it wasn't 'terror' anymore. Makes no sense to me at all.

And where's the justice for the deaths of thousands people from the middle east?

No offense but the reason why YOU bombed Afghanistan is purely political and it all started during the cold war. It happened because the US didn't want to loose from the communist, how could someone else control the world?!

The US's intentions are all about the US- why bringing "peace" to the middle east? Because they have god damn oil!

The US is not dumb, it's the contrary, the States had been very smart in the past, joining conflicts they don't belong to, most of the times at the final phase, just to win. Fighting outside their borders, giving out credits to the countries just for the sake of gaining control over them. The US never does anything if there's nothing to gain.
--------------

Now on topic, in this game it's the bigger, the richer and the stronger who has the right. It doesn't matter if it's good, bad, right or wrong, and it's not just the US who do that.

There's also racism that plays an important role in that, it's easier to give the people an enemy which they already dislike for one reason or another, just like Hitler and the Jews.

Well, I mean no offense, that's a personal opinion. :)
