I had this conversation with my mother,
1) americans are too patriotic. you can not deny that
2) but I wouldn't suggest bringing up Afghan, and Pakistan if you are not knowledgeable on the situation
3) Those things have "reasons"; I don't really agree with. But some of those things had to be done.
4) they are trying to give "pay back" to the Americans.
5) I wish America would have considered Canada's approach from the start.
