Some members in the base like to argue that ameterasu is an instant jutsu. That, even if someone tried to FTG out of the way, he'd still be hit. I'm going to disprove that logic in this thread.

As we saw, ameterasu can be sensed, and blocked:

"I sensed that you were focusing chakra in your left eye." ~ Obito Uchiha
Obito clearly says that.

Then we know, Tobirama is on the top 3 list of best sensors to live. He is so(let me make up a word here), sensorly inclined, that he could sense the make up of Orochimaru's body.

"... His body is almost completely made of my brothers cells..." ~ Tobirama Senju

If he can see the make up of Orochimaru's body, surely he can sense chakra focusing in Sasuke's eye. I'm not going to sit here and compare Minato and Tobirama's sensing abilities, so I will merely say, Tobirama would be the one who can dodge ameterasu. Not Minato. However, if Minato's sensing abilities were on par with Tobirama, then of course he can.

Thus, it can be said FTG > Ameterasu spawning on you, as it can be sensed.

Now, onto, can FTG escape the eternal flames, or will they be transported with the users body. The answer, to me is obvious. The flames will merely fall to the ground. We've already deduced, as a community, that FTG enables the user to select, in their range of chakra, who, and what they want to transport. It would be foolish to believe the user would willingly teleport with ameterasu still on them.

This point has been proven over, and over again. Twice in this recent chapter alone:

1.
You must be registered for see images

"I'll have to jump with it!" ~ Minato Namikaze
Minato is physically making the choice to use FTG with the explosive ball(due to lack of naming).

Again, we have another instance where the user chooses to FTG the ball.

2.
You must be registered for see images

"I'll return this to you" ~ Tobirama Senju

Tobirama chooses to teleport himself, and the explosive, and force it back into Juubito. He is physically holding the ball as well.

Conclusion:
1. FTG > Ameterasu if the user of FTG has an extreme proficiency in sensing, I.E; Tobirama.
2. FTG > Ameterasu even if the ameterasu is on the user. The user chooses, what and who to teleport with him.
Thank you for reading :scorps:

Tobirama warping the ball away better not be your evidence for that claim. Cause those are clearly two different scenarios. Amaterasu is on the user while the ball wasn't on anyone.

Its ridiculous to believe the flame will fall to the ground once the user teleports.

In fact it is. It's making physical contact, thus it can be moved with FTG. There's no scenario to which something is touching Minato or Tobirama, and neither can FTG. Unless of course the object is so large it's physically impossible, or they're incapable due to chakra reserves.

No. Ay was the only one to dodge it with pure speed. Because he was simply faster than Amaterasu. Teleportation technique is fast too, but you won't have time to react. And in the worst case, the flames teleportate with you.

That isn't what I was referring to, everything you said is stuff I already knew was true. I was saying that Tobirama grabbing the ball and teleporting with it doesn't mean that he can teleport away from Amaterasu once its already hit him.

Obito sticking the ball to Minato and then Minato teleporting with it when he warped away is proof of that..

Tell me more how the user chooses what to ftg when Obito clearly stuck Minato with the tbb in the 1st place.

Tobirama's sensor abilities comes placing his hands on objects, so Tobirama will need his hands on the ground while fighting then he can sense it.

However a person using Amaterasu can hold the build up of chakra in their eye and choose when to use it. It doesn't necessarily need to be used when the user is done building Amaterasu.

Not trying to start a war, just healthily airing my opinion.

Amaterasu, if it comes into contact with a FTG user, would still burn. It wouldn't jump with all the flames, only the flames in direct contact with the target/ FTG user. The rest would either dissipate or fall to the ground.

I'm not debating whether you can sense Amaterasu, you obviously can, since the stress of the chakra you use causes the eyes to bleed with the MS.

What Tobirama said was, imo, to look cool. Almost sarcastically stating that those types of attacks wouldn't work.

Amaterasu can be avoided, proven by the Raikage, and even dispelled, proven by Tobi, but that was probably a Kamui warp.

As for blocking the attack, that can be done as long as you are out of the field of view. It isn't instantaneous but it isn't slow, even if you can sense it coming you aren't guaranteed a chance to miss, unless you have reflexes similar to the Raikage in his Lightning Armor.

Anyway this is just my opinion. Lets at least to agree to disagree. :win:

Fail he didn't separate himself from the technique. Naruto and Sasuke did not yet release the technique until Obito was warped.

juubito is like the fastest ninja now (probably bm naruto is the same) and amaterasu was still only like a few inches from hitting him so if it's extremely fast xd you have to have good reaction time as well like tobirama and minato have shown (although karin is a great sensor she will get hit easily (sage mode users can dodge too) NICE JOB

Damn... I had a pretty good counter, but read another post and forgot it... I'll edit when I remember.

Edit, nvm I remember. It stuck to Minato without him realizing it. Minato teleported without the actual knowledge that it was on him. The point I'm trying to make with FTG is that, the reason the person is using the teleportation, is to escape the ameterasu. Thus, they will know if it's on them. They will physically feel it burning. It's not like it's on them discretely. Minato merely teleported himself, which he can do. If he's just using the basic format of FTG, where it just teleports themselves, then of course he won't even notice. That much should already tell you he didn't know it was there.
