yup xd but i have feeling they'll say well the cloths he's wearing aren't te same as the one in the opening at which point i will virtually b**** slap them U_U

Any way my theory Amon is eiether the guy whom aang beat back for revenge after aang stole his bending ( as aang wouldn't kill him) and hides behind the mask becaiuse maybe zuko burned him? or he is that guy that aang foughts son and zuko killed his dad and almost killed his son.

another theory i have is this guy that aang fought might have killed sokka and toph and aang towards the end of their fight would make sense why they appear they had something to do with the fight with that guy and amon is somehow connected to that guy.
reposing meh theory O_O

also notice she said aang when she woke up i think aang was talking to her in the spirt world but all she remembered were those few flash backs

Amon is definitely related to the incident 42 years ago. Probably not the same person but maybe a close relative i.e. a son? Or he could be the cabbage selling guy in the first series lmao xd

Dunno if I'm looking into this too much, and I realize that it's just a phrase, but with the last chapter I don't think that it would be too far-fetched for the "Spirit" part of the title to refer to Korra having her first spirit world experience. Though it's probably too early for her to actually speak with Aang or another avatar. I mean, pro-bending is cool and all, but I highly doubt that there will be any episode just about the sport.

Anyway, I'm loving Amon's character right now. Calculated, indefinitely skilled, and he's mysterious but has no problem making his presence known. I dunno whether or not this series will be better than Avatar, but I have almost no doubt that Amon will be a much better villain than Ozai. I mean, we only really saw anything from him in the season finale, the Day of Black Sun, and a few bits here and there in Zuko flashbacks.

As for his identity... personally I'm not sure if he lied about his history, in which case he would have to be someone that we never knew before. I mean, I get that spreading propaganda is probably his biggest weapon, but... I dunno. In the case that he did lie there are still doubts. Just because his face is hidden doesn't mean that he's someone we already know. There are logical reasons. He needs to make himself known as leader without ever risking getting caught. My guess is that we'll meet Amon at some point and have no inkling that it's him. He'll act like a completely different person, have an entirely different identity and there won't be the slightest allusion to it being him. No one, not even his most trusted Equalists, will know who he is to assure that there is no risk. And gradually we'll get small hints that he is part of the Equalist movement, leading to him being revealed. It seems like the most plausible thing to me.
This is the description of the next episode:

The pro-bending championships are about to start. However, differences between the Fire Ferrets threaten to end their shot at the championship.
So yeah I think the title pretty much refers to pro-bending. Till now they actually never used titles with deep meanings.

I really can't wait to see what cool bending we see.

I loved the scene where Amon+Chi blockers attacked Korra. Those red glowing eyes lighting up with the fire was so sick. Reminded me of the end of Book 1 where Zuko and Zhao went at it and their fire lit up the sky for how ever long their attack was.

I can't believe some of the nonsensical theories I always have to read on discussion topics for Naruto, Korra etc o_O

There's no one who can say with certainty what will happen next, but Amon is not Aang for so many reasons... I'm not sure what to think about people that have those wild theories... On the other hand it seems very plausible Amon is related to the already mentioned incident, I doubt he's the guy that was on trial, probably his son...

But seeing Aang and Sokka and Toph... it was... amazing xDD Like when we had a first look of Katara, already an old woman, you have that mixture of feeling sad and happy- sad because she's old and you have a feeling like you have missed a large part of her life that you would like to know everything about and then you feel glad she's still there, like you saw an old friend xDD And the timeskip gives this cartoon a sense of reality because it shows how life goes on no matter how important the persons were, how the world has to continue without them and how the future turns into something of which people didn't even dream about, into something unexpected and different from what was intended or envisioned...

As far as Asami is concerned, I think she's not evil or something like that, her father obviously has a secret agenda and I think that's what's gonna be the cause of her strife and what will make her a pariah for some time LOL You know, like with Zuko and his struggles with past and crazy relatives ;))) I would like to see her with Mako, because they seem like they could be a great couple and it would be good to see something different from all those relationships in the movies and shows that are destined to happen between two main characters that are both special in some way, so everybody is expecting for Korra and Mako to be together, I hope it would not happen... :))) I would like to see Korra with Bolin and Mako with Asami... One more thing someone wrote in wiki article that I have to mention, how she resembles Lust form FMA, that only makes Asami more sexy and cool...

And this show seems a little more mature than the first one, it does have that cool feeling the previous had, but it's also a little darker and realistic... I also noticed a little difference in the way it's animated, like a combination of anime and loony toons, when, for example, Mako says goodbye to Asami and those hearts appear and him with a goofy smile xDDD Opposed to situations with Aang that had similar moments of goofiness and gags but without being accented :))

I love the music too... Can't wait for the new episode to air :))

Oh god I wrote a whole novel about my impressions xDD LOL

it is similar. but can't say if it's a rip off.
in the original series (I'm throwing a guess you didn't watch it?) only one person was able to use that fighting style and she was one of the characters which has a lot of fans :D

and if I'm correct and you didn't watch the original series, you should watch it as soon as possible

Amon is an epic villain, I love how he intimidated Korra like he did.

If Amon was Aang, it would be soo epic! Avatar VS Avatar in the end, just sayin'
