I can't believe some of the nonsensical theories I always have to read on discussion topics for Naruto, Korra etc
There's no one who can say with certainty what will happen next, but Amon is not Aang for so many reasons... I'm not sure what to think about people that have those wild theories... On the other hand it seems very plausible Amon is related to the already mentioned incident, I doubt he's the guy that was on trial, probably his son...
But seeing Aang and Sokka and Toph... it was... amazing xDD Like when we had a first look of Katara, already an old woman, you have that mixture of feeling sad and happy- sad because she's old and you have a feeling like you have missed a large part of her life that you would like to know everything about and then you feel glad she's still there, like you saw an old friend xDD And the timeskip gives this cartoon a sense of reality because it shows how life goes on no matter how important the persons were, how the world has to continue without them and how the future turns into something of which people didn't even dream about, into something unexpected and different from what was intended or envisioned...
As far as Asami is concerned, I think she's not evil or something like that, her father obviously has a secret agenda and I think that's what's gonna be the cause of her strife and what will make her a pariah for some time LOL You know, like with Zuko and his struggles with past and crazy relatives

)) I would like to see her with Mako, because they seem like they could be a great couple and it would be good to see something different from all those relationships in the movies and shows that are destined to happen between two main characters that are both special in some way, so everybody is expecting for Korra and Mako to be together, I hope it would not happen...

)) I would like to see Korra with Bolin and Mako with Asami... One more thing someone wrote in wiki article that I have to mention, how she resembles Lust form FMA, that only makes Asami more sexy and cool...
And this show seems a little more mature than the first one, it does have that cool feeling the previous had, but it's also a little darker and realistic... I also noticed a little difference in the way it's animated, like a combination of anime and loony toons, when, for example, Mako says goodbye to Asami and those hearts appear and him with a goofy smile xDDD Opposed to situations with Aang that had similar moments of goofiness and gags but without being accented

)
I love the music too... Can't wait for the new episode to air

)
Oh god I wrote a whole novel about my impressions xDD LOL
