Any idea what obito means

judas was the figure in the new testament that was one of Jesus' top disciples, until he betrayed Jesus.

Since then in real life, the word judas has also become a synonym to traitor.

*********** does a good job translateing, but sometimes they overdo it a bit.

In this case obito is saying "my fellow traitor", as sasuke betrayed the village, and betrayed obito, just as obito betrayed the village and betrayed madara(to some degree).

Obito was expecting sasuke to be on his side. Remember, obito was in kamui dimmension the entire time the edo kages showed up, and had just gotten out.

PEOPLE!!! Animes/mangas (including Kishi) are known for making heavy references to mythology and/or religion from around the world. Plus... Unless you speak Japanese and read the original manga, you can't say its a mistranslation since you don't know what it said in the first place

I usually read mangapanda first, because they use simpler language than ***********.
*********** usually makes use of idioms that only native speakers know. They're more suitable for the situation and better translated, but are harder to understand if you didn't read mangapanda first xD.
