did naruto surpass his father and jiraiya ?

But in which cases was Kakashi telling that? WHen Naruto developed R-suriken or when he learned smth rly fast. It coulnd't be other way Naruto is main character and we cant wait for years for him to develope new jutsu, eventhough it's only possible to do it in a long run, Main character is gonna make it in 1 week! ( Naruto, Bleach)

You just keep saying that Naruto owns all, but he's too careless to win against somebody who knows him well.
Assuming his fights were luck. WHen he relied on Kyyubi and help. THe only powerfull opponent he defeated was Kakuzu. ANd that was luck + he was saved + Kakuzu was already damaged. + kakuzu didnt know what Naruto is capable of :/
So thinkone more time please. Dont listen to what frogs say or what do manga characters say cuz fans are supposed to read that!

wow... my fav character is itachi uchiha, and nothing in this fictional manga makes my heart throb because i'm 20 and it doesn't excite me like that...maybe you're right but look how young naruto is and he's a sage, yes, he relied on the kyubi chakra when he was younger but he's already made up his mind to not use it anymore, everything he's doing is his own chakra, if you don't believe me, just find any time when he used the kyubi chakra and there is always a conversation between the two, or we actually see the kyubi take over... he hasn't done that in a while... a long while! and doesn't matter if kakuzu didn't take him serious, he was talking way too much smack to let himself get killed two times with one jutsu. and even though the rasengan is played a little, it's how he uses it that makes me think he surpassed everyone else... he's way quicker on his feet than people give him credit for... so i think i will keep listening to the toad sage when he says naruto has surpassed the fourth and j man because like i stated earlier, he would know... if the 9 tails was freed somehow, i'm pretty sure naruto, being the main character and all as you put it, would def find a way to stop it...

deff surpassed pervy sage with mastering sage and getting a better rasengan but i dont think he will have surpassed the fourth (his father) till he learns his fathers jutsu that gave him the name konoha's yellow flash, (or w/e its called lol)

Agree 100%.

Naruto is now on par or possibly more powerful than Pain and therefor surpasses Jiraiya. As far as surpassing the 4th, I would guess he has, but it's tough to say with certainty considering we haven't seen much on the 4th 1v1 with powerful opponents that challenged him.

1. abt kakuzu fight, if i remember correctly naruto fooled kakuzu even first time and was about to connect his FRS but it poofed. its not just luck, its bad luck. bcos all he needed was a little more training time, but he didnt get it as he had to back kakashi up.

2. naruto is several notches higher than when he was with kakuzu. now naruto will defeat kakashi, hands down. whether its total annihilation or hard fought battle, we come to know after we know more abt his sage mode skills.

3. never mind, but kakashi fan seems to be whining much more than naruto fan :)

maybe... i mean seriously people we can't assume a lot from naruto yet... he did 1 rasengan on a weaker pain body... maybe next manga we'll know...

I think he's in the process of surpassing them by doing these things (senjutsu and FRS), but he's not there yet because he needs to gain more experience that only time can give him. I would say at this age I think he's more powerful than Jiraiya, but I don't know enough about the fourth other than maybe. Of course Naruto is in debt to each for his rapid development, which is why each generation surpasses the next. Remember Orochimaru said
"Sasuke is better than me at that age and I was a genius." He didn't say "Sasuke is better than me." Orochimaru went head to head with 3 and 4-tailed Naruto, while Sasuke got his ass handed to him by the 8-tails even with MS after the CS was removed. I like Naruto so it's fun to see him come out of no where with bad ass force and surprise. It's easy to overestimate him and Sasuke at first before we see their weaknesses. So in time, no doubt in my mind. If Naruto beats off Pein, than he is a superior fighter than Jiraiya, though not necessarily a superior shinobi yet.

To all: DO you really think Naruto would defeat Kakashi? I think it would be smth like. BOdy flicker - raikiri from behind = naruto dead. Kakashis speed is faster, seals are faster, technqiues are faster, + he's smarter and much more expirienced. Naruto won most of his fight with pure luck, but sems like you dont want to admit it. He's powerfull, i have no doubt about that but...
Naruto is not expirienced and doesnt have tactics. For such a smart guy as Kakashi, with limited chakra but DEADLY techniques, there would be no problem defeating Naruto. Remember his fight vs Kakuzu? He could die, but Kakashi saved him. IF something like this happens in a fight vs Kakashi, there wont be anyone to save him. :p

Im not talking about tails lol. ITs not Naruto its Kyyubi. Noone can defeat Kyyubi.



Fight vs 4th hokage = FTG + rasengan form behind = gg Naruto. IF not gg naruto = FTg + shuriken from behind, gg Narutos neck. ehtz.

Not sure about the plot if he fights J-man though, but I doubt Naruto would defeat him. Well, i dunno if they didnt new eachother, then maybe Naruto COULD HAVE A chance. But since J-man nows Narutos techniques and abilities better than Naruto does.... no chance naruto.

The Kakuzu fight was where he really stepped up his tactic game....so he has at least some tactical skill that we know of....

Naruto is one of my favorite characters........you say Kakuzu didn't know what he was capable of...well that's a lie....He managed to land a rasenshuriken on Kakuzu AFTER he already saw him do it once...

naruto is definatly not stronger than J-man and the 4th. Naruto will surpass them for sure, but not now, come on, he's only 16!

I know u want him to be godly strong, but first thing first, he need to gain battle experience where he will learn to make the right decision and to master multiple assets of his ability. Look at shikamaru, he doesn't know an awful lot of thecnic like naruto, but the ones he know, he's mastering them to perfection!

Time my friends time!!
