I am not claiming that 8th Gate Gai is weak but i want to say that 8th Gate Gai is not at Juubi jin madara U_U

Gai can defeat any form of madara except juubi jin.

Using the 8th gate to put someone on a high level is the same as putting Hiruzen/Minato at the top because of RDS

But this is the usual scenario, where fans put people higher than the manga puts them at. And the 8 gates aren't pure taijutsu mate..

8 gates and are kind of different though. If used in the vs section Gai can use 8th gate right off the bat and finish the opponent. Whether he dies after the battle shouldn't matter since the absolute point of a match in vs section is for a character to defeat/kill the opponent. Ex: if Gai is going against zabuza and uses 8th gate, the moment zabuza dies Gai wins the match right there and then.

What was confirmed is that 8th Gated Gai pushed Juubidara the same way Hashirama pushed EMS Madara. Madara got a similar thrill, despite being eons stronger than his EMS self.

Still Juudara get his ass kicked from Gai that did not have any external genetic enhancement or special abilities like advance blood line limit. If Juudara who was genetically enhanced by Kabuto with Hashiroids plus with Rinnegan plus almost all of the Biijus chakras & their reserves don't even want to take continuous direct hit from 8-gat Gai as it will be arguable fatal to him. On a 1v1 death battle Gai will rip him apart in his default form!!!!

Except that no one's going to let Minato be stationary and make the required hand seals for RDS, which is why it's only convenient when the enemy is subdued. 8 Gates is part of Gai's arsenal and is completely applicable in a battle. A tie implies both opponents killed each other which isn't the case.
