Did Hinata have more potential than Sakura as a female lead?

Didn't read all posts(sorry) but the way they ended up written I don't see it being too different if you switched them, if you where to make Hinata join team 7 at the beginning instead of Sakura, I believe yes, she had more potential when we where introduced to them(for obvious reasons that really shouldn't need to be said other than looking at the 2) although this would mess up the whole new sannin thing as I don't see tsunade taking an interest in her(already a hyuga, already supposed to be good, not known for chakra control or strength) so yes, I think she had more potential from the get go, but was written pretty badly in the end, it would def be an interesting take on the story, btw I read one comment saying no one would like someone that says naruto Kun pretty much all day...... Not being a hater but I really don't see how constantly saying sasuke kun is any different, well there's my .02 on the matter, and good morning lol

For plot wise if kishi followed through with Clan backstory and show her as Hamura's decedent and give her some of his chakra similar how hagoromo did to sasuke/Naruto, Then yes, or simply put Neji in Sakura's.

Then You would have both Hamura and Hagoromo's descendants fighting kaguya making it some what symbolic of them fighting the juubi together and actual involvement of all 3 members of team 7 instead of it just 2 of them being useful against kaguya.

But knowing kishi, he would still most likely fuck it up like he did with sakura

Actually I didnt think about this, having her have hamuras chakra and be the third member of the main team would make just as much sense in the end as having Sakura in there and probably make an interesting what if story if nothing else

He wont, he gave her the most important speech and moment and made a whole movie after her :lol

I agree with Neji getting hamaru chakra since no other hyuga share as much physical looks and talent/power as him , but i would've loved for both to have recieved half each , then have them both take on a toneri amped by solar energy and finish him with conjuction 361 Palms followed up with Conjunction Air-palm blasting Toneri into the sun.

She basically made that her goal to be strong like Naruto/Sasuke/Lee.

Well, alright, she has a decent goal developed into her, but I still think Hinata has more potential since she at least has a starting goal that could be turned into something more. Plus her backstory and a likable persona already puts her above Sakura in a way at that point in the story.
