My bad, the one you were talking about came late September, still 2 weeks before the cypher even aired. All 3 of his interviews while addressing the Control verse came before the cypher aired.

And tbh, the more I read into it, the less I'm viewing it as "beef". Check interview out. Regarding his BET Cypher; Kendrick said, "I was just having fun rapping. Hip-Hop is a sport, and people are going to dissect lyrics. Then he proceeded to say he has nothing against Drake". So clearly, and as I thought, it's about the competition from Kendricks standpoint. Now, did sensitive ass Drake take offense to the BET cypher? Possibly. I wouldn't doubt it. But people are naturally already hyping this shit up and making it what it's not. So as I said, as a big fan of both, I hope this Drake response was from the same competitive standpoint Kendrick is coming from, else he's going to look stupid.
Yes the interview was done after the cypher AIRED in October but remember it's pre-recorded and was FILMED in september, which Schoolboy Q said was before Drake's response that really tried to downplay the verse. The first interview Drake gave was the same response as everyone else that chose not to respond like Mac Miller and A$ap: "It's not a big deal, it wasn't a diss, it was just an ambitious thought, he was just saying he wants to be the best" etc. The second interview made it seem a little more personal and gave the impression Drake was a little more offended than he originally let on, especially with the whole "I don't think some people can really **** with Kendrick after that".

But no I don't think this is a beef either. And I'm saying I don't think Drake needs to try and make it one. That's why I said earlier the control verse wasn't even a diss, which makes responding to it as such by any rapper seem foolish. I hope it is just for the sport as well but by dismissing and trying to downplay the verse's significance without even acknowledging the intent of hip-hop behind it and making it seem as if it were something "not to **** with Kendrick" anymore over, Drake has already set himself up to look dumb in some people's eyes for now responding for any reason. Especially for going about it with a "half-way" method such as a subliminal, which is something he originally criticized K-Dot's control verse for in the first place. I'm not saying that he DEFINITELY didn't do it for pure sport, it's just that his initial reaction to the situation will end up distracting people from the sport of things and making it seem personal even if he doesn't mean it to be.

How the hell did Drake body him? Kendrick literally slayed Drake at the BET TDE Cypher… There hasn't been a single hot shot fired at him yet. I find it sad people are starting to compare them to Biggie and Pac when Drake is a soft ass waffle colored nigga that won't actually do anything. He literally cried when Control came out and said no one wants to do anything with Kendrick after he said that. *Flashback to the BET's TDE Cypher…* Kendrick called dude a little ass boy and told him to go back to bed with his pajamas and Drake came back with this shit that Kendrick already said("I'm the king of New York…") Come on guys… This is like Biggie verse Eazy E or Pac verse Dr. Dre (Kendrick Obviously being Biggie and Pac and Drake being E and Dre). Like come on guys… Where the rap at…?

The part meant for Drake destroyed Drake... Unless you're going to say that drakes diss is better. In that case you're just a blind fanboy U_U
The f*cking irony.

A blind fanboy is calling me a fanboy. I never said Drake's diss was better, but that doesn't mean Kendrick destroyed Drake with like 2 lines of subliminals that were still mostly meant for Papoose. They really weren't mentioned for Drake, but him saying they were or making people think they were gets him more buzz. Hurr durrr.

Not to say that he didn't throw in a line that made it seem like a Drake subliminal, doe.

The last part was if you were going to say drake'a is better. I'm a fanboy, yes, but not to Kendrick. J. Cole is my favorite rapper out right now because he has the ability to connect to a much wider margin of people than Kendrick, Drake, Wale, etc... I know Kendrick is the best out now, and I'm not going to out up some rediculous claim and say Cole is better. Kendrick Lamar is the most lyrically acclaimed main stream artist out. Before NWTS you could have made the argument that Drake is better, however he lost his spot as #2 when he dropped it. An entire album where a dude that can't sing(listen to him live) sings, and you expect me to say he's better to than the guy with the best album for the past 3 years... Nah.

Inanimated likes gay Asap crew, you can't take his opinion on rap seriously
Lolwut... I like Asap Rocky's style. His music is pretty good but he's not top 5. The majority of Asap Mob is mediocre artist besides Ferg who is on the same level as Rocky. Pretty Flacko > Your fav rapper
