Let's let go every tear and all of the fear
Family, Friends, Food, & Wine to fix our thirst
Why even bother with the bad & the sour
We've got each other today and forever
Let's start each new day with a fresh flower

There's no day quite like the first of December
I'm quite certain we've already been through the worst
Let's give every new day reason to remember
Because today's more than just one first
Some said we'd never get this far

So this December First will be one to remember
