The Yata mirror is stated to make any attack meaningless. That means it essentially negates all hype, making it a tier above in terms of hype. Coupled with the fact that it is a spiritual weapon of mythological origins compared to simple jutsus and man-made tools, make the Yata mirror's hype even more exemplary.
No, that's just you believing that Yata Mirror is more true than the rest. Indra was stated in the most recent databook that he could break any barrier (Yata is included in this category) and he was a descendant from a God. Wouldn't that make his hype more exemplary than Yata's?
We don't even know Yata's origins which means that the author felt that it wasn't that important in the first place. If it truly was a shield that can protect the user from any conceivable attack and also cover the user's body at all angles, then why did no one feel the need to search for it? If Kaguya, Madara, or Obito had such a tool, then they would literally be invincible, yet to them it seems trivial compared to the powers of the Juubi.
Black Zetsu had knowledge of it, most likely before Itachi obtained it, so why didn't he make an effort to get it for Kaguya? I'm sure Orochimaru had knowledge of Yata but instead was more impressed by Totsuka.
Also humans have shown to perform astral and spiritual jutsu; so for all we know, Yata Mirror could have been man-made.
