I can agree with saying that it wasn't as good as the Dark Knight, but I can't agree with your statement (in one of those posts) that it wasn't as good as the Avengers at all. The Avengers was EXTREMELY overrated and completely dependent on fight scenes and occasional comedy. My major problem with the Avengers was that Loki really didn't do much of anything in the movie; he was getting slapped around constantly and never really gave off that awesome feel like he did in Thor (in which he was the only outstanding part of that movie to me personally). And I didn't feel like anyone's acting was actually all that intense.
Now as far as this movie, again, I'm not sure if I liked it better than the Dark Knight, but it was truly an amazing movie. Bane's voice in my opinion was perfect and the actor that played him was great. Bane's voice shouldn't have been completely clear anyway, they had to insinuate how drugged up he was while also giving him a booming, commanding voice with an amount of sophistication in it, which is what they did perfectly.
The Talia Al Gul thing had to happen simply because it was part of the comics. That was more of a matter of all of the comic book fans who saw the movie that would be angry about the trilogy ending and them revealing Talia without them showing that she was a villain. As far as her acting... meh, the movie had enough great actors for me to get over that.
The Batman dying thing I can agree with you. Honestly... with that set-up I would have liked if Bruce died, it just kind of killed the moment seeing him return.
But a 5 out of 10!? That's insane. Bane's performance was brilliant, so was Catwoman's. Christian Bale was good (not great, but good), and personally, some people may not agree with me on this, I believe that the guy who played Alfred was great as well. Oh and Morgan Freeman is always awesome of course just because he's Morgan Freeman.

And I believed that the plot was excellent. And there were so many great scenes. The football scene (Steelers ftw!) Batman's "death," the scene at the bank (when Bruce first returned to being Batman), and of course the airplane scene in the beginning. I personally liked the climb scene mainly because of the prisoners' chant. But 5 out of 10 is such a low rating, you said that it was a good movie and worth paying for, so surely you must mean at least a 7, right? I can even accept that low rating but I can't possibly agree with the Avengers being better than this; I liked the Avengers, but it very over-hyped; nothing about it really stood out aside from the action.
Not being as good as the Dark Knight though, I can agree with only because Heath Ledger was just unbelievably awesome. But in a way I don't really care which one was better; the Dark Knight Rises still had great things in it that the Dark Knight didn't, namely Bane and Catwoman. But I really, really hoped that Riddler would make a cameo somewhere in these movies. Throughout the trilogy the only think that I didn't feel like we got enough of from Batman was his ability as an ingenious detective. I mean we did get it, but I didn't feel like it was ever really emphasized.
