Danzo felt the previous kages teachings were weak and foolish. He wanted to b in charge of the village so he could in his own opinion make it a stronger and safer place. He thought his ideals were better for the village sooooo he used his entire life to try to slither into power so he could help the village . Asshat. Watch the episode danzo died in. He had a heros death. Watch it dont read it. The one thing that could be argued he did to not benefit the village was hide during the pain attack. And even then. He knew villagers would survive. And they would need him to lead to get them strong again. And the root to protect them. Ut arguments are invalid and biased

You talk as if Danzo did those things, he forced others to do those things, which always led to his own profit in some sick twisted way!

Let me also tell you why Danzo wanted Sasuke dead. After Itachi's death, he knew Madara would approach him and tell him the truth to get him on his side, so he was afraid that Sasuke would come after him for revenge, and that is exactly what happened and Danzo got what he deserved.

You have to ask yourself, why did Tobi know Danzo and mention the Uchiha incident when they met for the first time in the manga?

Why did Tobi know everything about Itachi?

Danzo and Tobi were in cahoots! Heck, Danzo helped Tobi get Nagato on his side, which makes me think that the Kyuubi incident was for Danzo's profit too, just like Orochimaru's invasion.

You fail to comprehend what i said. Danzo was prepared for a worst-case scenario (information leak) which a real ninja should always be prepared for. He knew that someone could always blabber out and if Sasuke found out he would want to destroy konoha.
Danzo didnt know about Nagato's rinnengan nor did anyone else outside of Akatsuki at that time. Remember how Hanzo was shocked when he first saw Nagato. Therefore Danzo couldnt have possibly known that Tobito wanted to recruit Nagato and your argument is invalid.
If youre talking about the kyuubi that was Obito's doing who was under Madara's orders,that incident served Madara's purpose of wanting to destroy Konoha and the Uchiha clan,how is that even connected to Danzo?

He is worse than Obito who wants to create a dream world. Obito never talked about destroying the world or ruling the world. He just wants to put the bad world under a happy genjutsu.

Danzo wanted to rule the village no matter if it turned into a steaming pile of ashes before or not. He never tried to really keep it alive I think, he just wanted to force his way on it, no matter what.

yeah you're right. I think he didn't love Konoha as it was, but more the Konoha he wanted built by his ideals. he forbade the anbu from helping out when pain invaded, because having the citizens die meant tsunade losing followers.
