he abandoned konoha to be destroyed and massacred, because of a villain he partially created (in his efforts to plot a coup against hiruzen), brainwashed children to be mindless emotionless slaves answerable only to him, murdered countless people and ruthlessly desecrated dead bodies for power. all he cared about was power. he didnt accept konoha when it wasn't him running things and did everything he could to become this twisted hybrid monster in order to control kyuubi for his conquest plans.
its pretty easy to see that abandoning thousands of innocent people to torture and death in order to enact a violent coup on the survivors is far more than "questionable"
Danzo did say he was for the village in the end, but that doesn't excuse the horrible deeds he committed.
Certainly not but at least it shows that he wasn't a hypocrite who was doing it for his personnal gain alone and the fact that Hiruzen had allowed him to have that job proves that what he did was not completely wrong and that Hiruzen should also take partially the blame since he was the one who granded him the authority to move like that, at least to some extent. Let's not just blame only Danzo while we leave Hiruzen as an angel.
yes you can if you have any sense of morality. its generally considered evil to brainwash children and make them solely loyal to you while ordering them to murder each other, while enslaving them so as to not tell anyone about you.I don't believe it's a question of good or bad, he did what he felt was necessary, and even if you disagree with his actions, you cannot definitively call him evil.
so that justifies leaving it to burn?At the end of the day, controlling a country is not an easy task at all
a war that could be stopped in much less brutal ways if danzo had simply given it some thoughtDanzou (ft. Solo King) stopped a war.. manga fact
so because a stupid cowardly old man who lets himself be pushed around by advisors says something, its automatically fact? hiruzen failed to live up to tobiramas example which is why he couldnt do the "dirty work" himself. You know it's easy to say that he was bad but the truth is that even the 3rd Hokage had acknowledged the need of some dirty business which had to be done
save from what? danzo abandoned konoha in its greatest hour of need and let everyone get slaughtered. As a matter of fact it takes a lot of courage to go against everyone and even get hated in order to save the village.
no he didnt. hes a selfish murderous psychopath obsessed with power and enslaving everyone around him in order to create a fanatical dictatorship. he even plotted with hanzo against hiruzen to overthrow him in a coup to seize power and you call that ensuring his village is safe? by throwing it into chaos so he can have his militaristic ass take over?Danzo is the prime example of cold logic that conquers in political life. He did what he had to in order to assure for his country the best future
and what he thinks is best is a terrifying dictatorship where everyone is mindless zombies obediant only to him, and himself the totalitarian ruler of the planet.. He may have also had personnal vanity but still that doesn't change the fact that he died for what he thought as best of his country.
which is just plain wrong. danzo is the worst mass murdering brainwashing sociopath ever to get away with all his crimes for several years. he plotted to throw konoha into a bloody civil war alongside hanzo to kill hiruzen and everyone loyal to him. he plotted alongside orochimaru to control kyuubi for his own ends. he spoke about how the world needs to be united, under him of course. because power is all he really cares about. konoha can go die for all he cares if hes not the one ruling it. which he proved to be the case when he abandoned thousands of innocent people to be massacred . how are you protecting people when your letting them ****ing die.Even Sasuke, the person that hated him the most because of being the main reason for uchiha's massascre, even him, acknowledged the fact that what Danzo did was genuinely derived from his will to protect the village at any cost.
hes the worst mass murdering psychopathic monster in konoha's history. a selfish power hungry torturing brainwashing sociopathic demon who let thousands of innocent people be murderedI don't think that Danzo was a bad person
You certainly have some points but even Tobirama, the one you took as a prime example of good leadership, was the one who created Edo tensei, a technique which requires you to sacrifice a living being and forces a soul to fight for your own purposes by using a dead's body. Isn't that one of the most immoral things you can ever do? To use phycological war and disrespect towards the falling ones? Same goes for Ohnoki. The first time we've ever seen him, he was presented as treacherous man who even went as far to hide Akatsuki for his business. Lastly, the system in the mist village was such which was practically forcing the kids to kill each other in order for them to graduate. I'm not saying that Danzo isn't responsiible for his actions, I'm just pointing out that he cannot take the full blame for everything while everyone else is never mentioned in any way about their crimes.yes you can if you have any sense of morality. its generally considered evil to brainwash children and make them solely loyal to you while ordering them to murder each other, while enslaving them so as to not tell anyone about you.

and the fact theres a dark side of the village to begin with means the village is not all that moral or justified.

Yes. He definitely let Pain destroy the village for the sake of the village.Danzo did say he was for the village in the end, but that doesn't excuse the horrible deeds he committed.
^ Purpose is motivated by Perspective and Perspective by Self. Do the math. There are certainly clear dichotomous notions of right or wrong.
tobirama lived in a much worse era where things like ET werent that looked down on. plus we dont know what he used ET for. im assuming his sacrifices were willing as were his reanimated soliderseven Tobirama, the one you took as a prime example of good leadership, was the one who created Edo tensei, a technique which requires you to sacrifice a living being and forces a soul to fight for your own purposes by using a dead's body. nonsense. everyone needs to be judged by the same morality. he had a choice and he chose to be a murderous sociopathBut again, there was no real right or wrong choice for him, so the description of good or evil isn't really applicable.
