This fight was fully planned and faked by Itachi, he wasted techniques on purpose to reach his limit faster, even stopped taking his essential drug to drain his stamina. Amaterasu already proved to hit targets instantly by the user aiming at it and yet you insist on the fight of Itachi against Sasuke being a canonical source showing Amaterasu's limits.

First of all if Itachi couldn't focus on Sasuke, then how did get caught when you need to focus on your target? As you can see in that chapter Ama isnt instant as the flame was catching up to Sasuke or travel if you would. Your post does not take away that Sasuke dodged it and that it took it chasing him to be caught

Holy fu**, dont you understand that itachi wasnt aiming actually to sasuke? The fight was faked from the set go, we dont really know how much of his strength itachi used in the battle, but we do know that he didnt want to kill sasuke, plus the fact that he was as blind as ms sasuke vs kakashi.

Doesnt change the fact sasuke loses tho, one bunshin and that leaves sasuke having to waste his precious ms on a 50-50, and naruto can make thousands at the same time with a simple hand seal, therefore sasuke cannot one-shot him. Ama is instant, but the eye-bleed happens right before the flames appear, in that split second, a bunch of clones have already appeared. The eye-bleed was as well the reason why V1 A dodged it, since his shunshin is only rivaled by Minato's or KCM Naruto's.

Amaterasu travels. Meaning the farther away from Sasuke Naruto is, the better chance of dodging he has. Given proper distance, Naruto can dodge it. The sweet spot is around the distance Sasuke was from Itachi when he dodged it for a undeniable dodge.

Amaterasu was focused on A but continued on to the Samurai. Zetsu's description of the Jutsu also uses "Converges on the Target"
