(Fūton: Gōkūhō) - Wind Release: Great Vacuum Cannon

Performance

Aoi started to gather chakra as he transformed it into wind one . After this he channelled the chakra into his mouth , and started to release it . He then looked to an opponent and released the said chakra into a blast . This blast had the chance to send away the opponent , as it has very good impact power .

Offensively

For this , I would mainly use a fire technique , first thing that comes to my mind is Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique . This jutsu allows to shoot small fire projectiles by performing the needed handseals , and then fuel the fire by performing this wind jutsu . The fire would be stronger as well as faster .

Defensively

For defense I would use Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet . This technique allows the user to release a jet of flames which is pretty fast . So , when the opponent uses this wind jutsu , I would use the fire technique to counter it , and as well as have the chance to coumter attack the enemy too .

What do I think of this tech

Nothing special in this technique too . I think it's a little good since it's performed fast , but other than that it's easy to counter .

(Fūton: Kamikaze) - Wind Release: Divine Wind

Performance

Aoi performs the Rat handseal and gathers a large amount of wind chakra . Whilst releasing this , he used shape manipulation to create several parts of mini cyclones . These tornadoes started to pick anything in the ground , and of course the air was just making them faster , because they were spiraling . By manipulating chakra , he sent some of the cyclones in the left of the opponent , and the others in the right . This way Aoi attacked the opponent .

Offenisvely .

Firstly , I use Fire Release: Running Fire . This would allows the user to create a ring of fire around the opponent . Then after this , I use this jutsu to fuel the ring of fire more and create huge flaming hurricanes . This way the attack would be very strong and have the chance to give the opponent a hard time countering them .

Defenisvely .

To protect from this technique , I would use Bakuhatsu Enhogan ) – Exploding Flame Shots . As the opponent splits the wind into equal parts , I too shot several fire balls toward every part of wind . This would counter the wind cyclones , and since the fire technique is stronger , it would hit the opponent himself .

What do I think of this tech .

I love this jutsu already . The fact that you can use this with the Running Fire makes this jutsu more awesome and versatile .

The user performs 3 hand seals and releases their own wind into the air and causes it to spiral picking up the natural wind in the atmosphere. The wind is shaped into a narrow vortex that travels toward the opponent almost in snake-like fashion and knocks the opponent down. The technique can be used as above in a combo, or with any fire technique for a combo. The vortex nature of this technique makes it interesting as unlike a wind blast it can move around and confuse the opponent. A good way to use this technique would be to attack the opponent from the side with the vortex while at the same time sending another attack from a different direction to make them go on the defensive. To defend against the technique just use a fire technique that can overcome it.

The jutsu can be used to create several wind blades but this will make each individual wind blade weaker than if only one wind blade was used. Use one wind blade if you're looking for power or several if you're looking to occupy your opponent for other attacks. Defend against the technique with any stronger wind or fire blast. Or use another technique that create a hand-like structure to cancel each other out following the appropriates strengths and weaknesses keep in mind i.e. lightning has to be one rank higher to cancel out.

Performance

Aoi began to perform the handseals Tiger → Snake → Ram and manipulated his Wind based chakra . Then he releases the wind and it picks up the natural wind in the atmosphere . The wind began to take shape of a spiral wind which moves very fast to confuse the target . As the wind rampages towards the enemy , it knocked him down .

Offensively

Alright for this aspect , this jutsu is best to combine with the Running fire technique . Firstly perform the fire tech which would surround the enemy and panick him a little bit , then the snake-movement of the wind technique will confuse the enemy even more . Then when they get mixed with each other a massive inferno will happen to burn the target down . But as you said another way is to lanuch the wind in another direction and then use any other tech (fire) .

Defenisvely

Since it needs three handseals , you will have enough time to react and counter it . Most likely I would use a B ranked Fire stream which will overcome the wind and send it towards the enemy .

Aoi molds his Wind chakra and releases a big amount of wind chakra into his right arm . Once doing this , Aoi thought to finish the enemy off just by using one wind blade . He swiped his hand across his body to create a crescent wind blade which would run towards the target and slice him .

Offenisvely

Hm , to use this in offensive I'd use several wind blades for the enemy to have a hard time dodging/countering them , which would give me enough time to perform a fire or lighting technique which will damage the target who's already distracted .

Defenisvely

Hm the most common way to defend is to use a fire technique . But what you said is interesting too . Use another tech to have a similiar performance to cancel each other out . Also yes , lighting will also be good , especially a lighting projectile (stronger ofc) which will disperse the wind and attack the enemy .

One of most interesting technique so far for me .

Description: User will create a slicing wind gust which is used to divide and neutralize a Wind attack launched against him. It splits an incoming wind attack of lower or equal strength and makes it harmless.



This jutsu has no offensive capabilities. It simply a defense against pure wind jutsu of the same or lower rank. It simply utilizes the users wind chakra to attack the opponents wind jutsu and cut the technique is half and cause the wind inside of the opponents jutsu to move in two separate directions. When the wind moves in two separate directions it'll cause the blast to lose its momentum as it loses its rotation and speed and cause the wind jutsu to disperse. This jutsu will never be used offensively so there is no real way to defend, and defensively its just used to cancel out other wind techniques of same or equal power. I would personally use a stronger wind jutsu or a stronger fire jutsu instead of this one. I find no real use.

Description: This technique after performing the required hand seals Tiger → Hare → Dragon allows the user to summon a cyclone of petals to attack their opponent. The user can remain in one spot for the use of the technique, because he or she can direct it anywhere they desire. Therefore, the user can increase the direction and power of the technique to the maximum as a last resort.


This technique uses three hand seals and summons a cyclone of petals. The ninja then focuses his wind chakra around the petals and creates a vortex in which all the petals are captured and wraps the cyclone in sakura petals. The technique is very versatile as it can be altered from spot to spot to prevent the opponent from just running away. The technique can even be increased in strength to make it stronger than regular C-rank wind jutsu. I find the technique very flamboyant and extravagant. I would personally use this technique just because of the sakura petals. If you want to be known as a finesse RPer then techniques such as these can be trademarks. To guard against it use a wide range fire technique because small techniques can be avoided if you wish to move the cyclone. Offensively, you can use it in one spot or better yet on the move to attack you opponent with the versatile cyclone while preparing for other attack.

I start by focusing wind chakra on my body and send it on my right arm . Once this has been done , I notice the enemy shooting a weaker Wind jutsu at me . I wave my hand towards and release the wind gust which sliced the wind technique . The clash made it harmless .

Offenisvely

This technique doesn't work as an offensive one .

Defend against this .

I'd normally use a stronger wind technique but since I don't have acess to them right now , best option is to use a whatever fire technique , be it stream or projectile that will swallow the wind gust .

Opinion

A really meh technique which I don't find interesting , hence the short description .

I begin by performing three handseals Tiger → Hare → Dragon and summon several sakura petals , which then I infuse wind within them to make a cyclone of petals . This cyclone now moves all around the battlefield on user's will . The movement of the petals on the wind will confuse the enemy too , making it more possibile for them to get hit . This can be used from spot to spot , the reason why this technique is versatile .

Offensively

For offensively I'd use this technique to keep the enemy confused and busy . Lanuch this on one spot while you prepare for another technique . The enemy will try and counter the petals , and by confusion they won't see you prepare for the other tech , so you use whatever attack and have better chances to hit the foe .

Defend

Since this is a tricky tech , the enemy may move this from spot to spot . For you to end this , use a fire technique that covers the entire battlefield .

(Katon: Zukokku) - Fire Release: Intelligent Hard Work

When combined with Wind Release: Pressure Damage, this technique is amplified to the point of being able to evaporate a large amount of water in an instant.

Yeah I find this technique interesting too .

Description: This technique utilizes wind chakra into the users sword and then they swing it to create a powerful whirlwind of gusts of wind by releasing the wind chakra in sync with the swing of the sword.


This is a more advanced version of channeling wind chakra into a projectile or sword. The process starts out the same. The user will focus large amounts of wind chakra into their sword, and evenly spread the chakra along the edge of the blade. After this the technique gets more advanced. When the user swings the sword, the user also releases the wind chakra in the edge during the course of the swing so that the wind is released from the blade and becomes a whirlwind of sharp fine gusts that follow the path of the swing. This is a good technique to increase the cutting power of your technique, or to follow up behind a fire jutsu since this one doesn't require hand seals. I like this technique as because you are simply charging your sword with wind chakra, it can be used to greatly enhance your free form sword usage. Defending against it isn't very hard, using a stronger wind jutsu or fire jutsu to block the gusts is always an option. Moving out of the the gusts path would also work. Defending depends on how masterfully your opponent uses this technique.

I begin by kneading my Wind based chakra and send it on my hands . By using nature manipulation I create a wind , and then I form a wave of wind that dashes to the enemy and cut through his shields or his body .

As for your question , for creative uses I would make a shadow clone which I will use him to release these wind waves in different arcs or positions . For example , he releases it on the right side , while I use S ranked Fire projectiles . The enemy gets distracted by the wind wave , while the fire advances until it hits him . Or you can do this with your hands . Use one hand for the wind and other hand for any other technique . So in the end I would use this for distraction , since it's kinda useless .

Adv , its useful on close combat , the wind wave is fast and the enemy doesnt have much time to react . Easy to use and doesnt cost too much chakra , and very good for confusing the enemy . Disadv , the wind waves are countered by other techniques such was fire or stronger wind techniques . To counter this technique , use a fire projectile .

I unsheathe my sword and begin to channell wind chakra on it , and then by manipulating it I create some wind that covers the edge of the sword . Then by staring at it a little , I swing the sword forwards , and the edge of it releases some powerful wind gust that rampages towards the enemy . Then I used a fire technique and uses this again to see how it enhances the fire .

For adv, this is very versatile . Aas you said , it greatly incerases the free form usage of the sword . Also while this active you can use other techniques , and it kinda depends on how raw force you use to swing your sword , the more the stronger . And yeah it's very good in combos with fire techniques .

For disadv , well this is the same as tech above , the difference is only the power of the wind , which is stronger on this technique . So cons are same as above , I'd add that if you don't have a sword you cannot use it I guess . lol

To counter , a fire technique would be best . the fire would turn the wind gust back at the enemy's face .

(Fūton: Kaze Rasen Yaiba no justu) - Wind Release: Wind Spinning Blade Technique

Description: The user uses their Giant Folding fan or Giant Fan and swing it forwards at the target creating a single spinning disk of wind that ressembles a demon wind shuriken. A non wielder of the Giant Folding Fan or Giant Fan can perform this technique with use of two hand seals and releasing wind from their mouth and using shape manipulation to form the disk of wind.


Ignore all the fan description as most people don't carry fans, and I don't carry a fan in my bio either. I find it to be a cool technique but basic at its core. After doing 2 hand seals, the user will shape wind chakra in their mouth into the form of a disc and release it. The technique can essentially be used as a mid range saw to cut objects before they get close to you. You can use it to cut earth jutsu or to cut through lightning blasts. The disk could be even be enhanced with fire to make it a dual element combo. Guarding against it is similar to other wind projectile type attacks, fire jutsu or stronger wind. Even a stronger lightning jutsu to cancel out both techniques would work if you feel the need to finesse.


(Futon: Joushou Arashi Kabe no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Rising Tempest Wall Technique

Description: The user will first strike their target into the air with their Giant folding fan or Giant War fan and then follow up with releasing a blast of wind pushing the target back. Normal users can release a blast of wind to send them back if they do not possess a Giant folding fan or Giant war fan.


For ninja who don't use a fan in their bio, the technique involves channeling chakra in your lungs then releasing a wind blast. The technique doesn't require any hand seals, and is a simple blast of wind. The blast of wind can be used to knock your opponent back, but it won't cause great cutting damage to them, this technique is more of a blunt wind blast. The wind blast can be used to push projectiles away as well. Since it doesn't require hand seals its is good technique to use will attacking your opponent with taijutsu. Keep in mind that it is only short range. You can easily avoid it by moving out of range, or by creating a wall to absorb the impact of the wind blast. Fire or stronger wind works as usual.

Performance

I take a fighting stance as I begin to perform the two handseals . After this process , I make my chakra as thin as possibiile to have a wind natured chakra flow in my body . I send this chakra in my mouth . As I release it , I use shape manipulation to form a disk made of wind that rotates in high speed , dashing to any enemy or any object that is in the way .

Battle

You can combine this with a fire technique , so the fire will just enhance the cutting power of this disk . And since it can cut through earth shields , the fire will help it cut more . Also the range is very good . This is both used for defensive (cutting through projectiles) and offensve (cutting your enemy) purposes , so I have to say that this technique is versatile when it comes to battle .

Counter

Well any stronger wind/fire/lightning attack would suffice. I'd prefer to use fire because I love to combine fire with wind . In this case , I'd use a strong fire jutsu that can overcome the disk and push it to the enemy himself .

Opinion

I like this technique a lot and I think it will be useful for most cases .

As the next technique doesn't require handseals , I simply gather Wind chakra on my lungs , a fair amount of it . As I finish gathering , I send this chakra to my mouth , which from it I release a blast of wind from my mouth . The blast was quite effective on some objects around , as it pushed them away .

Battle

This technique is used for both defensive and offensive . In the defensive part , if any enemy shoots you any projectiles or ninja tools , the wind blast will push them away , or if the enemy dashes at you , Taijutsu users , you push them away so it gives you time for another attack . For offensive purposes , it has no cutting powers but it knocks over a person .

Counter

A solid earth shiled would do , or a stream of fire.

Opinion

Not interesed in this technique , just a simple one.

Another fan technique, but for non fan users it requires 2 hand seals. The technique essentially achieves the same result as the one I just explained above. The only difference is that this one can reach up to mid range. If you are in close range, use the one above for a more sudden assault, while if you are in mid range you must pay the cost of performing 2 hand seals for extending the range. Both techniques are the same in their offensive capabilities and defensive strategies, but should be used for different situations.

Description: The user gushes a powerful stream of wind from their mouth towards their enemy.


This technique is useful because it requires no hand seals, but at the same time it is only C-rank. In exchange for power, you get the element of surprise with the use of this technique. It simply involves focusing wind chakra in your lungs then moving the wind chakra to your mouth and releasing it in a stream. To maintain the stream of wind, you will need to release the wind chakra evenly. If you do not release the wind chakra evenly, then the technique will simply become a blast. Since the technique is a stream it can cover a larger range as you can move your head to direct the stream toward different locations. The technique can be used to speed up projectiles or by using it to power up a fire blast from behind. The fire blast will be pushed forward faster and become a dual element combo. Defending against the technique is simply, because it is a stream, use a fire technique that is like a blast so that you can over power the stream and cause the opponent to stop the jutsu, and will force him to guard your fire.

Performing 2 handseals , I gathe rup my wind chakra on my lungs and by manipulating it I send the chakra on my mouth . Due to the handseals , now this wind blast can reach up to mid range . Then by giving the wind charka shape as I release it , I lanuch a blast of wind that is directed to some dummies in mid range. The wind blast pushed them away and sent them flying.

Battle

So yeah , as you said for close range the first technique would be more useful. This is mainly used when you are mid range with your enemy, it is powerful enough to push objects away. And this again is used for defensive and offensive purposes , basically same as technique above, the only difference being that the first one is to attack persons in close range , while you can use this to attack in mid .

Counter

As a C rank blast , this technique is easily overpowered by C or above ranked fire streams. The wind will fuel the fire more and this does at disadvantage of the enemy.

Opinion

It's useful only for the mid range.

I again begin by kneading Wind chakra on my lungs,I then channell it to my gullet and mouth in order to release it from there. Using nature and shape manipulation I release a stream of wind that it's controlled by my chakra. In the training field there are several dummies in different positions . I move my head in the right and attack all dummies that are in the right , and same goes for those in the middle/left.

Battle

Since it's a stream , it's somewhat a good technique . You can control the wind with your chakra to follow the enemy wherever he goes. But the only disadvantage of this technique is you cannot use other jutsus while this active , and you are forced to cancel the stream if the foe attacks you with a stronger fire. But I would use this to fuel my fire.

Counter

Same as always , a fine stream of fire would do the job , I mean it's more useful doing a fire because the enemy will have to cancel the wind first and then counter. A stronger wind would work too.

Opinion

A simple stream wind technique , doesnt have something special.

After his teacher's sudden disappearance, yet another man came to the training fields. Sasori's expression suddenly changed as he heard Kuzan's words. Crutch Kaguya was great indeed, sad he went so fast. But now let's concentrate on your questions.

Wind Release is one of the basic five elements. In order to perform a good , solid Wind technique, one needs to make his chakra as sharp/thin as possibile. Wind techniques are mostly used to fuel any fire technique, or to cut through solid shields or foe's body parts.Since the wind is sharp, it has the ability to cut through any obstacle , as long as it is stronger than it. Another thing that makes Wind interesting is that it can be channelled through blades, and work very well with them. Once you've put your wind on any weapon, it becomes sharper and more powerful, and it's versatile during melee attacks. As we know , Wind is weak to Fire. It basically just fuels the flames more, making a more powerful technique. While on the other side, it is superior against Lightning.

The reason why I want to learn wind is to perform surprise and sharp attacks against my opponents. It can be very useful sometimes. And , since my favorite element is fire, I'd mainly use it to fuel my fire by using Shadow Clones.

Kuzan sat silently for a second, before standing up. With an encouraging tone, Kuzan replied, "Ah, yes. It seems you know a whole lot about the element already, great. But, adding onto that, it is strong against lightning because it is a natural electrical insulator. As you stated, using it in conjunction with fire is the best, because it would naturally strengthen the flames. But, you failed to notice that it can also be used with water. Water applies damage with its massive force it exerts, which in turn, causes internal damage to the target. The wind, when used as a combination with water, will add more 'force' to the impact of the water, which in turn, would increase its overall destructive powers. Additional information, you know, in case you need it in the future. Shinobi with the wind affinity are most commonly found in the Hidden Sand village, and Kekkei Genkai's that has wind as a component include Ice, Scorch, and more."

Kuzan walks back a few steps, about 5 meters from Sasori. "Onto the techniques." Kuzan sluggishly throws a katana towards Sasori. "Alright, the first thing you are learning, from me at least. Take that sword, and channel chakra throughout it. Think of the nature of wind, and how chakra is supposed to be kneeded when dealing with wind chakra. Perform nature transformation on that chakra, and make wind chakra that you would apply to the sword. Now, with the wind chakra on the sword, have it release a vortex of wind. You would use shape manipulation to shape a tornado-like thing around you, and with its quick and focused speeds, it would easily push objects away! While you're performing it, tell me how you would use it in battle. What are advantages, and disadvantages of this technique?" Kuzan then proceeds to throw a barrage of kunai's and rocks to you, once the vortex is created.

As you described, it easily empowers the cutting capabilities of these weaponry. Apply wind chakra onto the blades, and think of its sharp nature. Channel it into a kunai and shuriken, sharpening its edges with pure wind chakra. This would greatly increase its length, while also increasing its cutting potential. Shape manipulation is vital on this one, because you would need to shape it around the weapon perfectly to correctly strengthen its blade. As Sasori notices how Kuzan walks few steps back, he throws a katana towards him. Sasori catches it with ease and starts listening what the man will say about the next technique. After few moments, Sasori gets a better hold of his sword and slowly starts to make his chakra as thin and sharp as possibile. While thinkning about the wind element, Sasori starts to release the chakra on the sword , whilst using nature manipulation to create wind. Now the wind was surrounding the sword. Then by applying shape manipulation, Sasori forms a vortex of wind that would surround his body, pushing the shurikens and rocks away.

Then Sasori halts the wind vortex and starts analyzing the technique. To use this technique in a battle, best would be to use it against Lightning projectiles or currents. You will be safe by B/A rank lightning attacks . Actually this technique is used for either supplement or defensive purposes. When the foe would throw kunais or whatnot , you can push them away with this wind. The main advnatage of this technique is it surrounds your whole body , so it will protect you from attacks from sides as well. Another plus is the quick use. You require no handseals. But my question is, can this technique used without a sword? For disadvantages, I think it's very risky to use this technique while you are in short range with the foe. He may lanuch a fire technique which will utterly burn you to ashes. So you have to be careful.

For the next technique , Sasori takes two weapons, one kunai and one shuriken. Closing his eyes to think only of wind, Sasori goes near a tree, which he will perform the technique on. He took the kunai first. Holding it with his index finger, Sasori starts to knead Wind chakra. Using nature manipulation he releases wind, which then the shape of wind would be stabled in the form of the kunai, by using shape manipulation. So , now the kunai is enhanced with wind. By the use of shape manipulation, the wind covered the kunai perfectly . Sasori then tossed it with force to the tree, breaking it a little . Then the time came for the other weapon , a star shuriken. Repeating the same process, Sasori applies shape manipulation to cover it with wind chakra perfectly. He tosses the shuriken to the same tree , cutting through it.

The main point of this technique is to infuse your blade with wind, to make it sharper but you can as well use it on small projectiles . Like kunai or shuriken . the wind will make them faster , making the range better and cutting through the enemies. Otehr plus is to make a combo , using a fire technique. The wind and fire projectiles will do a lot of job. For disadvantages, stronger wind techniques can push the wind kunais directly at you , so your own technique will be your own disadvantage.

It is, essentially, the 'hand seal' of the technique." Kuzan walked towards the tree Sasori butchered, examined the weaponry used, and looked back at Sasori. "Alright, you have a good idea about the vacuum blade technique, but please elaborate more on the combination with fire. Do you mean applying a fire-based technique on the already-wind-coated blade? If so, that would require Y/Y." Kuzan paused, just for a second, and continued, "But if you meant... Using this technique first, and following up with a fire technique, or vise versa, i'd like to ask why it would make a good combination with fire?"

Walking back to his original position, Kuzan spoke, "Alright. Moving on. I want you to channel a fair amount of chakra in your mouth, and simultaneously perform chakra transformation, to easily change the nature of your chakra into the properties of wind." Kuzan takes out three training dummies and set them on the ground, one by one, right after the other. As he walks, he continuous, "Once you have wind-chakra gathered in your mouth, breath out, releasing a stream of wind. As it is released, perform shape manipulation to shape the winds to the shape of a twister. I want you to take out the heads of these three training dummies, all with one twister! Don't forget, it's a stream based technique, therefore, you'd need to continuously release the stream of wind to keep the twister's shape. Alright, give me the usual advantages/disadvantages, and how you would use it in battles, like combinations and such."

Kuzan picks up Sasori's katana, and throws it to him again. "This one, you'd need a katana, once again, or a bladed weapon, but we don't have any fancy weaponry so we'll use a generic katana for now." Kuzan demonstrates by swinging his blade from different arcs, diagonally, horizontally, and vertically. "What i want you to do is channel chakra on the blade, while performing nature transformation to change the chakra into the sharp and thin properties of wind. Once that is done, swing the blade. Any arc you'd like is okay. Once you've done so, release the chakra from the blade. This technique is unfocused, meaning you don't perform shape manipulation or anything fancy. Just release the chakra from your blade, and a gust of wind will appear from the arc you swung it at. Tell me some advantages and disadvantages, and how exactly you'd use it offensively in battle. As he finishes explaining, Kuzan throws another barrage of kunais towards the target, throwing it one by one, towards Sasori's stomach.

Yes, I was trying to say the second part. Well firslty , you take few shurikens , use the wind technique and toss them to the opponent. This will incerase the speed of the shurikens , while the fire will just add the overall power of the shuriken. Since the wind fuels the fire, the shuriken would be coated with a fair amount of fire , traveling quickly towards the opponent.

For this technique, Sasori started to knead chakra in his mouth. When he felt he had preparred enough chakra, he sees Kuzan setting up three dummies, one after another. Then Sasori started to release the chakra , by using nature manipulation to generate Wind . Then by performing the shape manipulation, Sasori transforms it into a wind stream which has the form of a tiwster. He aimed the wind stream at dummies' heads. The wind twister did cut through their head, due to its sharpness. The heads of the dummies' fell on the ground, having a hole in between.

The first advantage this technique has is it being a sharp stream. This should be able to cut through the enemy's shields or even body, if used correctly it can be fatal. Since it's a stream, you constantly feed it with chakra, so you should be able to control the movement of the twister by moving your head, in the direction where the enemy goes. But if the technique is a stream, there is one disadvnatage too. You cannot perform any other technique while you have it active. If the enemy performs a stronger attack, you have to cancel the wind stream and protect from that attack. But overall, it has great cutting capabilities, the range is good too. It can be overpowered by fire techniques though. For an use in battle, I guess it's best to use it when your enemy is stunned with Genjutsu. Since the wind is very sharp, it will stab through him, killing him.


Sasori once again held the katana with his hands. He started to gather Wind chakra on his body, making the chakra as thin as possibile and channelling said chakra by using nature manipulation to form an unfocused wind. Doing this, Sasori swings the sword in a horizontal arc. That said, a powerful gust of wind is released from the sword. The gust was obviously horizontal and it was able to push away the weapons Kuzan threw. Then he tossed some more, this time Sasori swinged the sword in a vertical arc , as well as managing to push away the weapons.

This technique is really quick to use. It requires no shape manipulation, you just release a gust of wind out of your sword and that's all. The gust of wind can be used for surprise attacks, to push the enemies away or lightning projectiles. So, it being quick is really a good advantage. Also, you can swing your weapon in different arcs, so it gives the enemy a hard time to counter all teh wind gusts you've released. The fact that it's unfocused , makes it easier for the fire techniques to overpower it , in my opinion. As you said, wind can also be used with Water. So a powerful gust of wind would add more momentum to the water force, as well make it faster.This is how I'd use it offenively.

Kuzan replies, "Hm, i guess I'm seeing the misconception here. You see, it is true that wind techniques empower fire techniques, but not all. This technique, the vacuum blade, creates a compressed and shaped version of wind around the weapon of choice. Beause of this, and its size, it will not empower techniques fire techniques like how you described." Kuzan stops for a minute, thinking of a better way to explain things. "Think about it this way, since vacuum blade's winds is focused on one area, and not necessarily air currents traveling around, it would not be used to empower fire techniques as effectively as opposed to using a wind stream based technique, where you create moving and non-localized winds. Understood? Vacuum blade wouldn't be the best technique to use because it's relatively small and does not cover a large range for fire to be enhanced. But, we should move on."

Kuzan patiently waits for the student's explanation of the two techniques, and amazed, he applauded. "Good... Great even! You've noticed what is the advantages and disadvantages of having a stream-based technique. Nicely done." Taking out a piece of chalk, Kuzan marks the stomach of a single training dummy. "Okay take out the two katana's we've used thus far. I want you to channel chakra through the blades and with nature transformation, change it to wind chakra. With a swift slash downwards, I want you to release the chakra as it is being released, thus creating a gust of wind from the downwards arc you sent it at. Be warned, the more katana's you use, the less damage each one produces. For example, because you're using two, if only one hits, it will only cause half the damage." Kuzan steps back, and added, "Okay, go ahead. Slash the training dummy twice to cut through it, and give me the usual advantages/disadvantages, and how you would use it in battle, offensively of course."

"Alright, with the use of these hand seals you will change the nature of your chakra into winds and knead your chakra properly for this technique specifically. With your wind chakra, I want you to send it to the air in front of you, generating it and cause it to spin rapidly, eventually growing into a mini tornado. Manipulate it to travel towards the training dummy, which would easily ensnare him and slice through its body. It should be powerful enough to push the target up in the air afterwards, go try it out! How would you use it in battle? And Advantages and disadvantages, please. Kuzan walks back, making sure to stay out of the tornado's way. "Oh yeah, this tornado would not be the biggest tornado, but it would surely be larger than a normal human."
