I see. I simply meant that I need to have post in this thread that acts as verification of what you have learned previously. Just to avoid any loopholes such as trying to skip from C-rank to A-rank, etc. My bad, I should have worded it better.


The first thing that you will need to do is explain the wind element to me. I would like you to tell me the basic strengths and weaknesses of the element, how these strengths and weaknesses can be used to your advantage or your disadvantage, what the wind element personifies to you, and why you find the wind element interesting or if you don't find it interesting, why you have that opinion. And basically anything else you want to say about wind relevant to the training and RP.

Note: Being a wind element student of mine, there is one preliminary reading after you answer this question. Be prepared.

Wind Release or Fuuton , is one of the basic five elements . To posses a good and a stable wind chakra , one must make the chakra as thin/sharp as possible . By doing so , the user releases the amoun of chakra he focused , using it for piercing objects or even the enemy's parts of body . Fuuton is mostly used on mid range , and it's well known for its slashing prowess , as I explained before . Different from other chakra natures , Wind techniques are usually performed by generating air circulation , or can be enhanced by it . Another good feature of Wind , is that it can be "fused" with other weapons , such as simple kunai , or bigger weapons such as swords . This way , the power of the weapons is enhanced . Wind Release is mainly common for people from Sunagakure .

Relationship with other Natures

  1. Wind is strong against lightning because it is a natural electrical insulator
  2. Wind is weak against fire , because it's naturally wind just fuels the fire more .
  3. Wind is also an component of Kekkei Genkai: Ice Release and Scorch Release.
Wind can give me very advantages . Firstly , as we know that Wind is superior to Lighting , this makes me simpler to defeat Raiton users . Also the biggest advantage of it is that you can use wind , even if in your current environment , there's not . While , on the disadvantages side , if I ever come across a Katon user , I most likely would have a hard time battling him , if we were to use only Wind/Fire techniques .

My opinion on Wind ? I usually dislike wind in real life , but in RP it can give you a whole another feeling . When I think about wind , I immediately think about something fast , quick and strong that can be very deadly . This is the main reason why I like to have the wind release in my arsenal , it is very versatile and can give you a lot of advantages .

Soliloquy on Wind

The wind element is truly unique. It is well known that the wind element is my favorite element and was the first element that I learned, that is why I went through the trouble of creating the Atmospheric Pressure element. I wanted to take the wind element to the next level. Trying to explain the ways wind can be used is almost pointless. The ways are endless, one must just be able to attune to learning how to use wind. Yes, it is very true that the wind element is mainly an offensive element but you cannot be restricted. The wind element can also defend as well in its attacks, you just need to keep your mind open. The versatility is one of the reason why the wind element is my favorite. Unlike earth or water, wind exist everywhere. Without it life cannot exist. Where ever you can go, you cannot do there with wind. The pride of the wind element like you said is it's ability to cut. A master of wind must be able to sharpen their winds to extreme levels to be able to cut through anything through sharpening their own self discipline, this is how far I have taken my Atmospheric Pressure element. The winds that it possesses are so strong that is has far surpassed mere cutting, the element instantly turns whatever it touches into dust by cutting at an unimaginable speed and concentration.

The wind element has an unique relationship with other elements. Lightning an element with incredible potency, an element that can burst through fire, destroy earth, electrocute water, even though such destruction is caused by it, the wind element cancels it out. The wind element does not permit lightning through it. Lightning is an element of pure destruction, unlike the four other elements that come together to create the basis of life, lightning is the opposite. It is pure death, yet wind quells it. It is true that wind is weak against fire but is it not for the reason that fire needs wind. Without wind fire cannot exist. When used correctly the wind element is not weakened by fire, it is empowered. The user can create deadlier attacks using this combination. The water element can also be used to strengthen wind, the user can combine both water and wind to create attacks that can quell the largest of fires. Both of these examples shows the substance contained within the wind element. The wind element is the source that allows fire and water to be able to become stronger. Without wind, fire and water would remain weak. The earth element does not directly interact with the wind element, over time wind is what shapes earth altogether. The erosion produced by wind gives shapes to many rocks and mountains, even turning earth into sand over time. The Atmospheric Pressure element turns all earth and metals into sand instantly as a testament to wind.

The wind element to means personifies one thing; change. Change is the entire concept of wind. The wind element never stays still and never stays in one place. One with the wind, is one without rest. Wind represents change because of its interaction with the environment, as you said wind can be very peaceful. As you are walking through this forest right now, you feel that gentle breeze across your face do you not. Is this gentle wind not soothing to the touch and relaxing? I would say it is. You say this because of what you have experienced. But wind can change at any time. How would it feel if you were standing in front of an F-5 tornado coming toward you paying no regard to life, destroying all in its path. Would it not be frightening? Standing there alone, unable to move due to terror as it rages toward you. Thus you must pay close heed to the wind element, though it has to power to be your friend and give you great strength in battle, when used incorrectly it will become your greatest foe. The wind will over power you and turn against you. You must have great discipline over yourself but also be flexible to necessary change if you ever want to become a true master of the Wind element, then to take it beyond.

To me, wind is the element of a warrior; you either live with wind or you die with wind. Have you have seen me use the Hurricane Fist technique to avoid attacks like all these people are doing nowadays? No. I prefer to take things head on. Wind isn't exactly an element that suits everyone, its song is sour and its taste is bitter. Mastering wind and implementing it in battle takes commitment and dedication. Sometimes it may be easier to simply use fire or water, but who wants to take the easy way out. Only one way works for me. The way of the silent predator, the roaring lion, the ghastly paladin. The way of the wind.

Since that soliloquy covers pretty much everything, we don't need to discuss more for this element. Now, lets start from the very basics. Here is a leaf. The leaf has been used to help young students master their elemental wind energy. I want you to place the leaf on the palm of one of your hands then cover it with the other hand. Now, begin focusing your chakra into the center of your palms. Think about all those emotions that you related to wind. Feel those emotions, become those emotions. Channel those emotions into your chakra as you feel it transforming into the wind. Once you reach harmony with your emotions of wind, feel the wind slice through the leaf. Imagine it cutting through with one swift swipe. Imagine your chakra moving in two different directions. The chakra rub against each other to create thin sharp blade between them. After mastering this basic manipulation of the wind element, you can move on to more advanced manipulations via jutsu.

Kladara picks the green leaf and put it on his palm . He stared to it for some moments , and slowly raised his other palm and covered the leaf . Closing the eyes , Kladara tried to forget everything he has gone through and only focus on the wind . To become one with the wind . After focusing chakra on his palms , he tried to transform it onto Wind Nature . Now , inside his mind , the word "wind" was going through . He felt the sharpness the wind gives to you . He felt how cold can the wind be , and it's speed . By thinking all these , he succeeded in transforming it on Wind Chakra . Now all's left is to slice the leaf with just one swipe . After focusing the chakra more , he tried to make his chakra like wanting to "escape" , meaning the chakra to withdraw each other . By doing so , he finally managed to make it as sharp as possible and ultimately released the focused chakra on it , managing to actually succeeded in cutting the leaf .

This is how I will train you: I will first post the technique and the describe it in my own words, and then state a few sentences about the usefulness of the technique both offensively and defensively. I would like you to respond by by telling me:

- how you would perform the technique in battle
- how you will use the technique offensively
- how you can defend against the tech
- whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting

I would like a few sentences for each point or a few bullets. Whatever you prefer. I'll be going at 2 to 3 techniques per post to keep the training moving.

Redo the last two techs accordingly.

(Fūton: Fūsajin no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Dust Wind Technique

Description: The user creates a gust of wind that layers an area in loose sand and dust. Doing so also acts as a sandblaster on the surrounding area. This layer of sand that accumulates on the trees during this technique makes it difficult for others to get a good footing. The initial gust can also temporarily blind opponents by lodging sand in their eyes.


The technique releases a gust of wind without the need of hand seals. The user focus wind chakra in their stomach and releases a constant weak stream of wind that picks of dust on the ground and pushes it forward. The technique has no offensive use other than blinding. You can defend using any fire technique.

Description: User creates a wall of spinning wind in front of him that is used to push back weapons thrown towards him. It can also be used against taijutsu close range attacks, but the wall can be pushed back with a stronger wind jutsu or if a smoke bomb or explosive tag touches the spinning wind they will automatically get activated because of the sharpness of the wind element, damaging the user also.


The user creates a wall of spinning wind in front of him by focusing wind chakra in his stomach but this time when releasing it, the user causes the chakra to expand once it leaves his mouth created a wall like image. When fighting this can be used to block projectiles, or if the opponent is really close during hand to hand combat, this technique can be thrown in to surprise the opponent right after they block a punch. Block is using any strong wind technique or any stronger fire technique. Because it is only short range, its no very useful.

(Fūton: Fūsajin no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Dust Wind Technique​

How you would perform the technique in battle

Since this was his very first jutsu , Kladara's eyes burn with passion and he begins to focus chakra on his stomach . Doing so , he also managed to succeeded to turn the chakra into Wind one . He then released it on the ground and the steam mixed with the dust on the ground . This way , he would push it a little to the opponent .

How you will use the technique offensively

After completing the process of performing the teachnique , the steam wind began to pick dust . After some moments , he just pushed it a little to the enemy , which its gust would cause a temporary blindness or just give him a hard time to react or move .


How you can defend against the tech

Well I just need to stay out of the range the technique has . It's simple since it's short ranged only , and you can jump without any effort made . You can also attack the opponent with any Taijutsu just to keep him busy , and as you said , any fire tech would avoid it


- whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting

Well I don't think this is useful . It has a nice structure , but whatsoever it's a basic jutsu that won't be of any help .

(Fūton: Sensougouheki) - Wind Release: Rumbling wind wall

- how you would perform the technique in battle

Kladara begins focusing chakra on his stomach . After thinking he gathered a fair amount of it , he manipulated the chakra to travel from the stomach to his mouth . The moment he would release the chakra , he expanded it to give the shape of an actual wind wall , which is spinning .

- how you will use the technique offensively

After the opponent rushed to Kladara , the latter would land a punch on the opponent . When he get distracted , Kladara quickly uses the jutsu to surprise him and make him fall back .

- how you can defend against the tech

Well you can use clones and give them multiple explosion tags , which would automatically make the wall fall back when in contact . This would harm the user too .

- whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting

Well this one is a little useful if your opponent is an Academic Ninja , which only knows to throw simple kunais at you . You can surprise distracted opponents by using this too .

Description: A simple technique that when the users hands are clapped together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale. This technique, when used as an isolated attack has the power to easily knock over a human. Though the true value comes from using it together with projectile weapons like shuriken or kunai. Their speed, power, and ability to wound or even kill are all increased several times.


Focus wind chakra to both your palms and when you clap them together release all the chakra in a sudden burst toward the opponent. This is technique is beast used after throwing some projectiles or after using a fire jutsu so that the wind will push the fire forward and create a wind/fire combo attack. To defend against this attack, as fire technique that can over power it will work. The technique is pretty simple and most of the time just used to supplement another attack.


(Fūton: Kaiten Shuriken) - Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken

Description: This technique will infuse wind-based chakra into bladed weapons. The user can than manipulate the blades in a spinning manner to attack the target.


An interesting technique personally for me. This technique is similar to focusing wind chakra into weapons to increase their sharpness. It just involves imbuing their shuriken with wind chakra and causing the wind chakra to rotate as the shuriken is thrown. This increases the cutting power and makes the shuriken faster because it is covered in wind chakra. A good technique to combo this with would be the Crimson Fire Nail to make wind/fire shuriken. There are plenty of simple ways to defend against so I won't take any from you, you have to state how to defend.

(Fūton: Reppūshō) - Wind Release: Gale Palm

- how you would perform the technique in battle

Kladara began to focus wind chakra into my palms . When he began to release it , he used nature manipualtion to create an actual wind , and shape manipulation to create a powerful gale from that wind . Kladara felt amazed by what he just did .

- how you will use the technique offensively

To use this jutsu in a wise way , firstly I'd perform a fire technique that has the ability to shoot projectiles . By shooting them , I immediately perform this jutsu . Doing this , I give the fire projectiles not only more momentum , but it gives them more power , as wind fuels the fire . Speed would incerase as well .

- how you can defend against the tech
I'd actually use this ( Katon: Kitsunebi ) - Fire Release: Fire Whisp . This doesn't only overpower the wind gales, but if by any chance it can hit the opponent too , since its range can reach into a long one , plus the wind gales will incerase the fire's power .

- whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting

Since I'm a fan of throwing kunais or shooting projectiles , I like this technique a lot .




(Fūton: Kaiten Shuriken) - Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken

- how you would perform the technique in battle

Quickly Kladara picks up several shurikens from his ninja pouch and throws them not too far from himself . Now he starts to gather wind chakra and then released them to each shuriken . Now the shuriken's sharpness has incerased and has the ability to stab an opponent if he is vulnerable .

- how you will use the technique offensively

I'd use this in two ways . Firstly , I'd use what you said . Fuel the shurikens with wind and then perform the fire projectiles on each shuriken to incerase the power of them . But my 2nd way would be to perform a jutsu that distracts the opponent and make them vulnerable to these shurikens . First the comes to my mind is the stone spike technique , but genjutsu would be nice too .

- how you can defend against the tech


I'd most likely use an earth wall that will block the shurikens . But before this I might use something that would not let the enemy perform the wind jutsu . Something like world shaking earth technique that would make the enemy lose his focus and get distracted and doesnt perform the wind technique . But again , I think the earth shield would be best for this kind of jutsu . (I'm trying to think more creative ways than adding always fire techs ..)

Yeah I'd say this is very a nice tech , especially when used in close range and the enemy has low chances to counter .

Description: This is a relatively simple technique that when the user performs the following hand seals Tiger → Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake they create a sudden gust of wind, but its scale varies greatly depending on the user. If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.


After performing 5 hand seals the user moves wind chakra that was in their stomach to their mouth and releases it in a large explosive gust. The gust can be used to knock down physical targets or to blow away weapons or to add power to a fire technique. To defend against it simple use a fire technique of equal or stronger strength to over power it. Unless you are a wind specialist I would not use this technique due to the number of hand seals it requires which makes timing exploitable. I am a wind specialist but I feel that there are better techniques that this that do the same thing. But the concept is simply a gust of wind.


(Fūton: Kamaitachi no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Sickle Weasel Technique

Description: User creates a whirlwind of slicing wind. Originally used by Temari with her fan, there is a way to create this jutsu without a weapon. Performing quickly handseals, the user will gather his Fuuton chakra into the lungs to blow out a sharp gust of wind, which in conjunction with the handseals will create a gust of violent slashing wind. The wind created is strong enough to push the opponent back or create 2 inch deep slashes to his body, however the user cannot direct slashes.


Perform a few hand seals (exact is unknown as the technique was perform without them in the anime), and gather wind in your lungs and blow out a quick sharp quest. The gust can be used to push back and opponent or to create deep gashes, but the technique does not have great cutting potential. It is better used as a supplementary attack with a fire technique or along with weapons to increase their power. To defend against it, just use a stronger fire technique or wind technique or create physical wall since the wind is not strong enough to cut through it.

- how you would perform the technique in battle

Peforming the necessary handseals - Tiger → Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake , kladara was preparing wind chakra into his stomach and then channelled it into his mouth , that then he would release the said chakra by using nature manipulation to create wind and shape manipulation to create a solid gust of wind that has the ability to knock down an enemy if used right .

- how you will use the technique offensively

The fact that this tech is short and long ranged makes it versatile , but the handseals take too much time , so to be safe I would most likely use this tech when I'm in mid/long range . Not really any special thing , I'd simply incerase a fire technique's power by using this technique , it would add more speed and momentum to the fire i think .
- how you can defend against the tech

To defend against this I would most likely use this .

( Katon: Gōenkyū ) - Fire Release: Great Blaze Ball

Description: The user after performing two hand seals Horse → Tiger exhales a big-sized sphere of fire that carries the enemy away and causes a massive explosion on impact. The fire ball has a given solidity property to it, being able to punch through solid obstacles without exploding.

Fact that it's long range , this katon can reach the enemy and probably not let him perform the jutsu , (cause of handseals) , but even if he does , it will add more chakra to the fire , so it's his disadvantage .

I do find this tech interesting , but yeah the handseals take too much time to perform =/

Performing the necessary handseals , Kladara gathered chakra into his lungs and transformed it into wind one . Doing this , he immediately channelled it to his mouth that then would blow out a quick and sharp wind , most likely sharp gust of wind that would slice an enemy or push him back .

- how you will use the technique offensively

Ok , so I will use this jutsu in a combo with a fire one , as this doesnt have great cutting powers . But if I really had not to do it with katon tech , I'd use this to push back opponents , and let him vulnerable for another deadly attack .

- how you can defend against the tech

I'd use this fire technique .

( Katon: Kimuchi Amura ) - Fire Release: Wall of Flames

This technique allows me to create a wall of flames , (equal ranked) , and as well as protect me from the gust of winds and also the wind can probably feed the wall with more power , making it more defensive .

Description: The users gathers his Fuuton chakra into the lungs to blow out a sphere of air at his target that can blow backwards the opponent and small objects around him.


Nothing too difficult to understand here. It requires no hand seals and simply is a sphere of wind blasted toward the opponent. The user simply focuses wind chakra in his lungs and forms it into a blast which is released from the mouth. The sphere of wind has decent physical power on impact but not great cutting power. The technique can be combined to speed up projectiles or with fire or water to form a combo. Use a fire technique that is stronger to overtake the wind or a water blast to cancel the blasts out while spreading water across the battlefield for strategic use.


(Fūton: Kamikaze) - Wind Release: Divine Wind

Description: The user releases a gust of wind after forming the Ram handseal, that forms several small tornadoes. Combined with Fire Release: Running Fire that forms a circle on ground level, this creates a massive flaming hurricane.



You perform one hand seal and release a large amount of wind to create small miniature cyclones. After you release the wind, you separate the wind into equal parts and move the parts to different locations. You cause the wind chakra that you released to start spiraling and picking up the air around it. Once it has picked up enough air and has forced the air to spiral around the center you can direct these cyclones toward your opponent. The best way to use this technique is to surround your opponent from different directions with the tornadoes to cause them to defend from all directions while you can attack them again while they are busy. The best way to guard is to just use a large enough fire technique that it consumes all the wind tornadoes before they can surround you and then continue to attack the opponent.
