Itachi fans can be numbskulls sometimes. The yats mirror repels ninjutsu. Gai
specializes in taijutsu hence the yata mirror would be useless.

I think that if Gai can avoid Itachi's genjutsu he could beat him with 7th gate. However if Itachi catches him with genjutsu it's over. Gai's speed counters Amaterasu.

He can avoid his eyes by looking at Itachi's feet as stated in the manga. Gai's biggest problem is suzano but personally I think 7 gates Gai can break it..or at least avoid Itachi until he is out of stamina.

Gai wins high difficulty IMO.

@bold lel maybe get your facts straight before calling people numbskulls, the databook states it works against all PHYSICAL attacks, taijutsu is physical attacks right? D

itachi is great with eyes i agree on this point... but what about a beast who doesn't require an eye contact!!! plus itachi's stamina is worst... gai sensei beats low diff

Considering how quick gai is and that the yata mirror is not a 360 degree defense, Gai wins with 7 gates.

8 would kill Gai but would end itachi in no time.

You guys act like guy would run directly at the mirror and punch it. Lol

And not only that, Itachi doesn't have any sort of endurance at this point. Gai would wear him out if nothing else to the point where itachi would pass out much like he did against sasuke.
