Bahaha

Necro owns this entire thread.

For those who don't understand listen, how would the average person who doesn't even know that his or her child at the age of 9 is smoking weed which him or her bought from a fellow peer at his or hers middle school, obtain a weapon?

Can you put 2 and 2 together???

Bahaha

Yes it can. But can 90+ percent of people access these weapons? No. I couldn't get my hands on a gram of cocaine if I wanted to. That alone deters me from doing hard drugs. Do the more serious people still find their way? Sure. But only the top 10% of most dedicated people.

The ease of accessing these illegal substances open the gates for their abuse. You wouldn't put a nuke out in walmart and trust people to use it responsibly.

Go out tomorrow, buy some cocaine, send me a picture and then I'll believe you. What? You don't want to because it's illegal? Hmm....

I could actually do that if I cared enough about proving you wrong and didnt mind blowing 30 bucks to do so. If youd like the proof that bad Ill PM you the number and my name and what to say, you can call him and tell him you know me and theres your proof. So yea, PM me if you dont believe me.

No thanks. It's illegal. So if you want to prove me wrong about how the hassle of going around the law isn't a deterrent, that's your business.

Look at it this way. I would do ecstasy tomorrow if it was legal, but the hassle of finding a supplier, and the pressure of not getting caught and facing jail time has prevented me from doing so. I can certainly tell you I am not the only one who feels this way.

No, the way he worded it was as if guns were illegal, it would be impossible to obtain one. I understand what you are saying though, it would be harder obviously because of the legal repercussions from possessing one. On that I agree, but it certainly would not be impossible to get your hands on one.

But can't you hurt/kill someone with a fire extinguisher? Lol

Yes you can lol

That sounds good on paper, but people dont think like that. Yes we have a right to protect ourselves, but there is a difference between being cautious and being paranoid. And taking extreme measures is ridiculous. I wouldn't carry a gun PERIOD.

Then you have never been in any real danger.

Impossible? Have you read a word I said? You just agreed to everything I said. It would be far harder to obtain one should they be illegal. Impossible? Certainly not. But that would SEVERELY limit the users.

As I just said, I dont. I was just giving you the opportunity to prove yourself wrong. Despite how much you think you may know based on your own individual experiences youre wrong. The only reason I know what Im talking about in the least is because Ive been around many of the people doing just that for the majority of my life. I know tons of people with guns, most of them illegal. Even now that they are legal most criminals with a brain prefer illegal ones so they cant be traced. Just another reason taking guns away isnt doing anything but disarming the law abiding citizens. Theres obviously no way to convince you otherwise, not that I expected to in the first place, but it doesnt really matter. I respect your right to believe what you want to believe. If it wasnt for my own personal experiences I would probably believe near exactly what you believe.

No no no no no no

The way he worded it was as the average person lacks the knowledge about how to go about obtaining one or doesn't bother due to the consequences and unnecessary shadieness.

ATLEAST that's what I see and what I know is a literal fact.

Exactly, therefore as an individual who has never experienced such situation, shouldn't have to bring myself to get a gun. Because that would be paranoia and not caution.

I know a girl who's ex boyfriend threatened her life and followed her around for about a year. She placed a restraining order on him but she kept seeing him, and she could never prove it because she didn't take pictures. He denied it and kept doing it. She bought a gun and told him about it, and she hasn't seen him in almost two years now. She used to come into work and tell me to watch for his car because he might drive past.

I have some stories of my own but Narutobase isn't the place to tell them.

Sorry, I thought this implied that it would be impossible to obtain one. I wouldn't say 90% of the population wouldn't know how to obtain one though. Did you see the youtube link I posted? That has to do with people using 3-D printers to print out the lower receivers of AR-15s. What else could it possibly do? Granted, you have to have a metal firing pin, so it can't actually make you a usable gun without some modification, but it certainly isn't hard to get a piece of metal to do the same thing as a firing pin.

Yes, I know, 3-D printers cost a few thousand dollars so only a limited number of people would actually be willing to spend that amount of money, then make the gun, conceal it, sell ... etc but the potential is there.

That's fair. But the fact that you live in these situations makes you a different person. You're not the average american citizen that i'm referring to. I don't have friends who all own illegal weapons. Does that make me any more correct than you? No. So you cannot be any more right than me because you do. But I'll tell you, the average citizen does not live the way you do. That's a fact.

And what stopped him from buying a gun as well? This doesn't sound like the story of a man who would travel 500 miles to another country to buy an illegal gun.

A personal gun can protect you a lot quicker then the police can arrive with theirs, let alone a piece of paper. lol

Average American citizens arent the ones trying to obtain guns for illegal purposes in the first place. The average American citizens are majority of the time the victims that youre taking the guns away from. The reason my experiences make me more right than you are because the kind of people from my experiences are exactly the people that would be the ones trying to get the guns.
Also this is not the way I live.
