You're entitled to your own opinion but my stance on the matter doesn't change. Hashirama's power was directly compared with the so6p so at least that puts them equal if not Hashirama being above him. And as I already said A thought Minato was unsurpassable.

Kishi could've possibly changed his mind on who he views as the strongest hokage, but it seems some people are too narrow minded to believe that.
But is it 100% fact that Kishi has changed his mind? No. Is it 100% fact that whatever Kishi says about Naruto is fact? Yes. Did Kishi state, multiple times may I add, that Hiruzen was the strongest Hokage? Yes. Therefore, is it fact that Hiruzen was the strongest Hokage? Yes.

It seems like you two think Kishi is wrong

C'mon guys...........
Where did I ever say he was wrong? Didn't I just say that it's possible that Kishi may have changed his mind on who he thought was the strongest hokage? Do you even read?

Did Kishi state Minato was unsurpassable? Yes. Did Kishi state Hashirama's power was a fairy tale just like the so6p? Yes. Both statements contradict Hiruzen being the strongest hokage. Both statements came in part 2 and has Hiruzen been mentioned in part 2? No.

I guess it's a fact that Itachi's invincible since Kishi said so right?

The thing is, I'm not going based on my opinion. If Kishimoto says for over a decade the Hiruzen is the strongest, I think it's obvious that's true. U_U Hashirama's power wasn't compared to the So6P. Kabtuo said that Hashirama's supposed strength was regarded as a myth like the So6P was. Not that he was as strong, but that his mythical strength was every bit as much as regarded as a fairy tale as the existence of the So6P.

Kishi could've possibly changed his mind on who he views as the strongest hokage, but it seems some people are too narrow minded to believe that.
But why would he after a decade of saying otherwise go "Eh, Imma change this". Especially when he's jut been expanding on Hashirama's strength. If he ever makes a statement that Hashirama is greater, then we can talk about him changing his mind.

Yeah if Kishi said that.....But how long ago in the series did he say that?...Was that like the beginning of Naruto?.....Plus i think bottom line..If Hashirima can tame tailed beasts and Hiruzen and Minato can't....Hashirima is greater than all

Yet Hiruzen's supposed great power hasn't been mentioned once in part 2. Hashirama and Minato have been the ones who've received the insane hype in part 2, which is where my opinion on Kishi changing his mind comes from.

You act like some authors don't get a change of heart while writing their stories.

He says it multiple times in all 3 databooks, the last of which came out directly after Jiraiya's death.

Stated in the 3rd DB, but otherwise you're correct. However, that's rather shallow when you consider that Hiruzen doesn't have an integral part in the story while Hashirama does, so it's rather obvious who's strength is going to get the focus.

Edit: Well, technically Danzo speaks of this when he refers to never having been able to surpass Hiruzen, and us seeing his promotion to Hokage by Tobirama.

You act like some authors don't get a change of heart while writing their stories.
And you're acting like an author would just change something he stated without a shadow of a doubt for over a decade. An author wouldn't simply change that for seemingly no reason.

No, A said that and Kabuto said that. Kabuto and Iruka both said Hiruzen was the strongest Hokage. Therefore, there's no point in trying to tell me what characters in the Manga have said when other characters have contradicted this.

I already stated it was a tough choice between Hiruzen and Hashirama. Heck, I even said in the OP that I wasn't sure who was stronger and look what I posted here:

1. So6P
2. Hashirama Senju
3. Madara Uchiha
4. Hiruzen Sarutobi (Prime)
5. Nagato (Prime)
6. Tobirama Senju
7. 3rd Raikage
8. Tobi
9. Minato Namikaze = A
10. Itachi Uchiha
11. Naruto/Sasuke
12. Jiraiya = Orochimaru = Sakumo Hatake
13. Muu = 3rd Mizukage
14. Shisui Uchiha
15. Izuna Uchiha

This list is truth U_U
If you don't believe me, i'm the 4th comment:

Hell, I even made this thread regarding Hashirama's strength:

So really and truely, the only stand out truth is what Kishi has stated in the data books: Hiruzen is the strongest hokage. My opinion, your opinion, everyone's opinion is worth nothing when presented with this.

The main thing here is you suggesting Hiruzen < Minato. Data books suggest otherwise therefore you must be wrong. Unless you can prove 100% fact (which you can't) that Kishi has changed his mind I suggest you stop bringing that up.

And Kishi's the one speaking through both characters and as I said both statements contradict Hiruzen being the strongest hokage.

exactly lol, this happens all the time. They have a right to reconsider things within the story and it doesnt always have to be stated.

Actions speak louder than words (i wanted to say that)

I typically request direct, literal translations from Narutopedia's translator. I'll go ask him, since that's where I got the translations I posted earlier.

Also, why does everyone keep bringing up Minato? No one ever said Minato > Hiruzen. A said he didn't think anyone would ever surpass him, but that statement was made long after Hiruzen's death, so can we really say he was including the dead in that? And Jiraiya and Tsunade referred to him having the "limitless potential" to surpass everyone, but they never said he did in fact realize all of that potential He died in his 20s after all.

Hence me saying it's a contradiction giving more evidence to my point that Kishi may have changed his mind. There's no absolute fact on who's the strongest hokage because every statement in the manga about it has been contradicted one way or another.

Yes but this is just your interpretation of what they've said. 'Minato is unsurpassable'. It doesn't necessarily mean he was stronger than Hiruzen. It may mean shinobi nowadays just won't reach that level.

You cannot say anything is 100% fact unless it is in the data book. Does it say kishi changed his mind in the data book...............No. You are speculating that he may've changed his mind. Kishi has said multiple times that Hiruzen is the strongest hokage. Unless in the next data book it says otherwise you'll just have to accept this for now. The end.

The databook also says amaterasu is as hot as the sun, is it? No, or else it would kill anyone right away after hitting them and it hasn't. In the description about susanoo it says it comes with the yata mirror and sword of totsuka, does it? No.

The databook has been contradicted by the manga as well.

Anyway you're free to believe what you want, but as of right now Hiruzen's 3rd on my hokage list and will remain there until I see him in his prime fight or Kishi says in an interview the strongest hokage is Hiruzen, which will convince me he hasn't changed his mind.

Where the hell does it say this? It doesn't.
