It has come to a time when it should finally be accepted that the current system has no reason to be kept. It has brought nothing but pain, and nothing good is to come from it.
“Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.” - Unknown
The system failed many times, innocent people had to suffer under corruption and extremist people who apparently had good intentions.
It deserves no trust. A system that failed from the very start, and continued to fail despite all the efforts of the genuinely well intended ninja, has no reason to be kept.
It allowed people with bad intentions or with good ones, but a twisted way of doing things to obtain power, make important decisions and be seen as heroes.
“If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders.” - George Carlin
Sasuke may not be a democratic person, but judging by the people from the village, he is what they need.
The majority of people are ignorant, blind to the truth, and care only about their well-being.
The leader they might get after Naruto’s end of career would probably greatly resemble them.
The leader has to be chosen wisely, else they will not get more than they deserve.
“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.” - Ron Paul
The current system allowed horrible events to unfold, and it kept them in the dark.
It was said that it was done for the best of the village, but what best when the village itself has to die from these actions.
The village was created by people for people. A system that allows the village to kill its own people and lies to its own citizens is veil, as it hurts the ones whom it had to protect.
“Being considered ‘crazy’ by those who are still victims of cultural conditioning is a compliment.” - Jason Hairston
Sasuke may seem plain mad, but what is really clear about him is that he is different.
The Konoha people already have a mindset imposed by their leaders.
They already have in their minds how things should be, how a village has to be run, and how ninja shall interact.
Sasuke is not brainwashed by the village, he can clearly see how the things progress and can unbiased take decisions.
“You can give a person knowledge, but you can’t make them think. Some people want to remain fools, only because the truth requires change.” – Unknown
People do not want to keep the system as it is because they are proud of it.
They do not educate themselves enough, and they do not want to.
They do not have the power and courage to change, and they will be back at their past deeds and habits pretty soon if the old system is kept.
“If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” - Frederick Douglass
You may condemn Sasuke for making such a fuss by not simply talking with others, but the reality is that this thing is of no use.
If he makes what other want, there can be no progress.
These people have no problem to kill others for their well-being, leading the village as they want will probably create another war.
“You're not to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it.” - Malcolm X
Naruto may be a good person, but this does not mean that the system can be changed or that is a good idea to keep it.
We may trust Naruto because he is the child of prophecy, but so were his father and Nagato.
The system will get abused by others and it will continue to be vulnerable, as Naruto cannot last for eternity.
What the village needs is a system that guarantees that a rational person takes the lead.
This system made people comfortable with the idea that for their own good their compatriots should be killed.
Even if it looks reasonable, it is only a false impression created by the need of survival.
The will of fire has caused causalities, hypocrisy and dehumanization.
“It takes chains of steel to enslave a rational human, but all the rest may be enslaved by a belief.” - Unknown
Sasuke was safe from the village’s corrupt influence.
Others just want the system because they think that it is the right thing to be.
This is merely a belief. Maybe Hashirama and Naruto are trustworthy, but what the system had brought upon others is unacceptable.
The villagers were indoctrinated by the will of fire and they know only this. They cannot escape from the system’s darkness as they are blind to change.
