Also, I have never asked anyone if a manga is good or bad. I just read it and find out for myself.

I think the only time i will watch the anime is for fights -----

Now i watched a couple episodes of OP when it came on Tv one time i must have watched about a dozen,it didnt seem to be that great to be honest, I mean there is all this hype about how OP is waay better than naruto and FT,But i just dont get how a guy who can stretch his arms,some reindeer whos about 1ft tall but then goes into a humoungous beast when he is angry is that intresting.Also most of the dialouge was if i remember correctly was pretty boring the only talk was saying something like ready to die? there was hardly any conversations between "the Group" that made you think yeah i get what this guys personality is supposed to be,it was like watching Resident evil afterlife any small talk was about one word long...

Correct me if im wrong but the story is about some kid who eats some fruit and becomes "Strechty" seriously? Stretchy is that the best ability...
And that this kid is searching for a treasure called one piece?,But for what 500/600 episodes your searching for the same treasure.That just doesnt make alot of sense to me.

This anime to me seems really childish and looks like it will get boring...quick i even asked someone if OP is so great point me to your favourite fight, you know what i got? some kid standing with a tooth pic in his mouth shouting Gumi Gumi whatever with his arms apparently moving "very Fast" "machine Gun Punching " some weirdo,The kid "luffy" was literally standing in one place while his arms were just flexing about.To me that seems childish and im a kid :|

So can someone enlighten me to what on earth is so great about this anime that its got the number one spot? please i really want to know because when so many people say something is great you start to think your missing out on something ...

One piece is a story of boy Luffy who wants to be a pirate his character is so far the naivest and dumbest boy in the world which made me see OP even more, he wants too become a Pirate King and get the ultimate treasure in the whole world that is One Piece. He gained rubber like stretching abilities by eating a Devil Fruit(I don't think its a bit childish). To achieve his dream he sets on a adventure where acquires his crew and the story progresses.

I consider One Piece to be the best manga whatsoever any one says, i so far have watched all episodes twice. Its not like other animes where no one important dies and the antagonist becomes super powerful or has super brain. Luffy is not the strongest in the series he just has a thing a known as " guts " and thats what make me read the manga chapter innumerous times.

Now about about which is better between Naruto and OP, i can't help and hail OP name, iam a big fan of Naruto but never it happens i read Narutos new manga before OP, OP is better and you cant judge it without reading or watching it, doesn't matter how it sounds to get stretching ablities from a fruit when you apply it with the plot there wont be much chance you will criticise it more.

My advice to you is watch or read some OP and if still you don't like it well i cant force you mate.:shrug:

You say you think One Piece is childish, while you're watching Fairy Tail which in my opinion is childish compared to One Piece although I like both animes, One Piece offers a great mixture of humor, action and drama and the story is so detailed and the character development is great.. it's the perfect anime, I just cannot understand why anyone wouldn't like it, you probably haven't even watched that much episodes yet.

Only immature people with incredibly short attention span that judge everything in first sight are the ones who could say that one piece sucks cuz they can´t even go through 20 episodes to realize that they couldn´t be more wrong.

Everytime someone told me one piece sucks, they were always below the first 20 episodes, they haven´t watched it at all or they have judged the series at first sight and based on what the haters said who themselves have never watched one piece.

I find it stupid that the OP would even make a thread about it, what an attention-*****.

I wanna say something to the one piece fans that commented in this thread...Don't start the "which one is better naruto or one piece" you sound like the haters of One Piece , just try to prove them that OP is the best and not that it's better than naruto (which is obvious if you prove them the first part)...Seriously man , DON'T READ THE MANGA, the anime is way better, you miss all those epic moments that One Piece has, and there are a dozen of them...Anyway, i feel pity for all those who will never watch OP , they miss a great anime/manga and their ignorance don't let them to understand that

Here's a non beliver... Well, let me try then:

Monkey D. Luffy is a boy who has a brother called Ace, a grandpa who's one of the strongest marine in the world, and a dad who's the most wanted man in the world. In One Piece there's lots of fruits, appearently made by the Devil himself, and the one who eats the fruits gets special power. Luffy ate the rubber fruit and is therefore a rubber man. There are three fruit type: Zoan - That let you change into an animal, Logia - That makes your body turn into stuff like fire or sand and Paramecia - Affects your body and skills, like the rubber fruit.

The meaning of One Piece is that Luffy along with all the pirates in the world will find a treassure, but the marine is trying to stop them. So the fighting beetween the marine and the pirates are always continuing. Along the way Luffy meets friends, loses friends and family, and he always tries to save them, even if it means he'll die.

OP is one of the few mangas where the main charachter (Luffy), is not the strongest. Everyone know that Luffy would get raped by tons of others in the show, and that makes it more interesting to watch then Naruto, cause in Naruto you always know that Naruto will win the fights.
