Naruto's plot presents itself as complex but it's actually a simple problem. I think everyone here reads Naruto one way or the other. What was the point of the Uchiha coup d etat again? Where is Sarutobi again? Where is Danzo again? Yeah. I can't believe you'd bring up things which aren't relevant now or have been pushed aside in the current issues.

U_U Actually, there are many flaws whith that statement.....The Naruto overall story isn't simplistic. There is actually coup d'teat, if you read the manga you would actually know about the Uchiha coup d'teat and that they tried to destroy and take over konoha. Also, Danzo wanting a REVOLUTION in konoha and to take over sarutobi and banish sarutobi's morals.

And the naruto story isn't just about Naruto chasing sasuke, see the 5 Kage summit arc in the manga, its packed with all sorts of themes. Love/confession (sakura confesses/lies about her love for naruto), action, drama, twists, truth and many more....
There is also the story of the SO6P, the senju/uchiha rivalry and lots of LIES and DECEPTION are involved with this part of the naruto story, like how nearly everybody thought tobi was Madara when he's (apparently) NOT.

Naruto also holds alot of morals about todays world (also about the 3 past wars in naruto world and also the constant search for peace like what jiryia and naruto are trying/tried to do). So NO the story isn't overall simplistic xd .

All the things you pointed out there are the COMPLEX SITUATIONS I was talking about. The overall story is still Naruto trying to save Sasuke from a life of vengeance. OVERALL STORY = SIMPLISTIC.

I've proven it atleast 5 times in this thread alone. Go read the first few pages.

(Btw, 30 000 000 copies was this year alone. Last year it was 57 million of One Piece to 11 million of Naruto. So the overall count is more like: 150 000 000 copies more sold from day one.).

I'd be probably going overboard by saying that One Piece is better than the nr 2 to nr 8 most sold mangas in 2010 combined But it had more sales then them combined. Same thing this year too.
