Smoker is no where near gear 2 luffy as i said he couldn't even see luffy.

he wasn't in gear 2 in the anime and it doesn't seem like he was in the manga either. he's probably talking about luffy base speed, why would luffy waste energy running around in gear 2, when he only using gear 2 in fights for short periods of time

He's been using it very casually since he entered the new world, there's no need for the whole squat and pose thing anymore, though he does it rarely... and he would be running in G2 if he was in a rush to get somewhere. I don't think he was in base, though you have a point about the anime.

Law was able to one-shot Vergo because Vergo no longer had Law's heart. Law was distracted by getting his heart back and because Vergo was squeezing his heart. It had nothing to do with Vergo's speed, but Law's focus. Vergo charging at Law in my scan, Vergo charging at Law in your scan, it's the same speed, the difference is, Law was paying attention this time.

Er, no they didn't. Speed blitz is what Luffy did to Blueno, multiple times. What Smoker did was a normal grapple, not really blitzing.

There are two kinds of speed, reaction time and movement. Hitting speed and movement speed fall into the same category because hitting something is just moving a body part with enough force to deal damage. If Sanji is faster in terms of moving, he's faster in terms of hitting. Both have been shown to deal blows that result in looking like your limbs have either disappeared in a blur, or multiplied, with moves like Jet blows and Spectre.

Blitzing is when you're too fast for the opponent to keep track. Smoker strangled Law within a matter of seconds!

Law kept track of Smoker the entire fight. It's hard to see because of the dark shading around his eyes, but when Smoker moved to grapple Law, you can see that his eyes had followed Smoker and Law was looking at him as he went around.

See this is the type of comments people will post when they don't actually read and just judge someone's strength by an outcome of a fight.

Smoker was actually chasing Law throughout the fight Law put up a boulder in the way to hide his last attack and had the boulder not been there Smoker wouldn't have been hit so you can say Law's strategy is better than Smoker's but not his speed especially considering Smoker's speed in his actual body is similar to Luffy's.

For one Caeser's lab is on a higher floor than the ground floor, so the anime was correct in its deduction that Luffy had to climb stairs in his no gears form in order to catch Smoker who could fly.

In no way Smoker who has been shown as nothing short as fodder is as fast as Luffy.

In BASE, he disarmed Rebecca without his hands while still eating after a surprise attack. This is the same Rebecca that dodged Hakuba.

He outran Caeser's gastanet explosion.

Was able to save Kyros who was at point black range from Doffy's kick.

Actually the image above you shows a perfectly straight path not a flight of stairs to be honest it sounds like you're just grasping at straws...and using the anime to try prove anything discredits you automatically.

It sounds to me you just dislike Smokers character so you are naturally going to immediately call him fodder when I'm assuming your favorite Luffy? is being compared to (Despite the fact Luffy is my favorite as well)

Luffy travels longer distance, sets the ground alight and gets there at the same time.
