it would be a difficult battle but i believe Ace would win high diff only because his DF. although he cannot usecertain haki skills and relies to much on his DF. i say Ace can still pull out the win high diff but there is a chance could still lose cuz burgess uses haki.

I don't see how Ace can win, let alone mid diff current Burgess. Burgess had great portrayal against Sabo. Surge Elbow is like a miniature King Punch and he can throw them around like it's nothing. Burgess' Elbow also matched Sabo's Dragon Claw evenly in terms of sheer power output. His physical strength is outrageous and his haki is only moderately weaker than Sabo's(who is a haki beast). He also showed no problem to follow a speedster like Sabo, even pressuring him enough for him not being able to accomplish 2 tasks at the same time(protecting Rebecca seemed to be impossible). He also has immense endurance, shrugging off Sengoku's buddha attacks even preskip with minimal damage(so let alone post skip). Alongside what i mentioned, i think it will be difficult fight for Ace if he can even win

Like i've said, it matched it in terms of sheer power output. They remained in a standstil during the entire clash with no one pushing back the other. What allowed Sabo to break the armor is his moderately superior haki

It's Sabo+2years, not pretimeskip Sabo. There is a vast difference. Ace died 2 years prior slowing down his progression. Burgess and Sabo on the other side vastly evolved in 2 years. Not to mention, i won't say Sabo made that quick work of Burgess at all. He was slightly stronger(without his fruit) and more cunning, helping him to take the fruit

1-either you are underating the mera mera`s destrucive power or iam overrating it but frankly i dont think he can tank ace`s attacks with no damage and his surge elbows needs time to charge aces hiken dsnt so he is going to blitz him
2-dsnt have speed feats to suggest that he can

I see Ace at the time of his passing as being as strong as Luffy is right now. It's a very close match, but I think Burgess would ever-so-slightly edge it

Ace was able to fodderise him pre TS. I don't think Burgess got that much stronger. Burgess would be on low WB commander level, Ace is in the upper tier.
