Boruto anime is indeed canon.

in other words: kishimoto doesn't have anything to do with it except milk the animu series.

"supervisor" nah man.. kishi just says that because that's his creation. I think ikemoto has free reign as long as he doesn't deviate too much and ruin the series which means he won't be able to milk it anymore.

supervisor won't mean squat.

as a royalty standpoint, they basically won't do anything unless it would start causing them to lose money.
which is what kishi is doing. he's not gonna add or direct the story. just say no if he dislikes where it's headed.

"Cannon" & "Filla" doesn't exist in Japan.. All this "cannon" "filla" talk is dumb because they don't see it that way.. It's only the western countries that say that ignorant jive..

If the Japanese don't see these stories as 'cannon' "filla" but just parts of different stories or timeline/scenario then why is every1 outside of japan butthurt over it.. It's alot to draw characters in different forms in every panel for manga scans when you can do the same animated with far less time consumption..

Just enjoy the ish if you like it or don't watch it because it's not "Cannon".. It'll still be there even after the butthurt is done with..

That didn't work for the Hiden Novels.

Yes. There was a Novel time line released, and an Official time line released. One was called Official in the translation. Though why you aren't reading this is beyond me. I posted a link to it already, a few posts back.

OrganicDinosaur is a head translator for the Naruto series, and she continues to do so. If the translation stated that was the official time line, it was. Unless you can understand Japanese and prove her wrong, however.

Supervisor of the Anime is different than the supervisor of the story. Especially when he doesn't write the episodes.

I know what you posted but it doesn't account to the facts. Kishimoto never stated that the Anime was canon, rather that he would work on it. However, Kishimoto said the same thing for the Manga, but he came out on interview to state it was canon.

The Anime itself, he has only stated the Academy Arc was approved by him. You trying to nitpick at translations and phrases to make the Boruto Anime appear canon, when that's not how it was presented. Makes you sly in my eyes.

When the ANIME was called to be an adaption of the Manga, which is leading the 'Canon'. You gotta stop.

The Boruto Manga is the official sequel of the Naruto series. The Boruto anime is the official adaption of the sequel.

That's the fact.

You're NOT getting the point. If it's part of the time-line, it's part of the story.

The statement "That didn't work for the Hiden Novels" is not enough to rubbish what seem like to be implied. Try something else, something more substantial.

"Yes. There was a Novel time line released,"

You make it sound like you had made this known initially. You only started saying this after I included the scan. This would make your claims that my premise is based on assumption very much ironic.

"If the translation stated that was the official time line, it was. Unless you can understand Japanese and prove her wrong, however.

This is basically you red-herring. I didn't try to suggest her translation wasn't official. I stated that you should advance that to her, to affirm if it's official or not. Please pay attention.

"Supervisor of the Anime is different than the supervisor of the story. Especially when he doesn't write the episodes."

Both have a common goal, that is they both monitor. If we are specific and yours is correct, it implies Ukyō Kodachi monitors the story, meaning he oversees the stories reference to each episode. This isn't different from monitoring the anime itself. If he monitors the anime, he monitors the story.

You know what? Can you leave this? You seem hard-headed and completely intransigent. What's more, you seem to be corrupting my argument, such that you keep on including Kishimoto was my main source of reference to support my point, when in fact they are lot of references I added to my thread. You also seem to be pushing propositions made from your perspective as fact.

E.g, Kishimoto came out and said the Boruto Manga is canon.

Kishimoto has not once DIRECTLY said this.

Thank you.

You should also stop with it. Point of views aren't lies. Wtf.. Instead of helping out, you just come here and spit all of this butthurt.

Grow up dude and it is not only regarding this subject. You are actually very toxic 90% of times. I joined NB to to have a good laugh and read cool stuff but recently the amount of toxic BS is too much..

Hyuuga fans
Sasuke fans
Naruto fans
Sakura fans
SasuSaku shippers
NaruHina Shippers

Holy crap. You idiots can't even be good sports. You keep on pushing, creating toxic threads and using stupid arguments to justify why your fav is better. Wth..

Why not be part of the solution, instead of the being part of the problem? Screw this really.

You're the one not getting the point. It's not apart of the time line, the official Naruto/Boruto time line omitted them.

The statement "That didn't work for the Hiden Novels" is not enough to rubbish what seem like to be implied. Try something else, something more substantial.
Going to accept your concession here since you can't counter the fact that the Hiden Novels aren't apart of the Canon time line. Next.

You make it sound like you had made this known initially. You only started saying this after I included the scan. This would make your claims that my premise is based on assumption very much ironic.
I've been saying that the Hiden Novels had a time line of their own for a while. I'm not sure why your blaming someone for your failure at noticing points.

This is basically you red-herring. I didn't try to suggest her translation wasn't official. I stated that you should advance that to her, to affirm if it's official or not. Please pay attention.
Basically confirming what I said earlier. You tried to nitpick at OD's translations, because you have no argument mind you, and now your doing what you do best: backpedaling.

The truth of the matter is we don't know how these roles work, nor what powers they have within the story. It's more or less conjuncture with no substantial proof. Like most of the thread anyway.

You know what? Can you leave this? You seem hard-headed and completely intransigent. I don't really see the importance of you dragging out something that failed in the first post. You have no actual proof to the Anime being canon. You bring up statements of Kishimoto working on it, but that's not what canon is. As Kishimoto has worked on things that aren't official. Then you bring up that Kishimoto stated he wanted to make Boruto better than Naruto. Still, I proved how that logic was dumb. Then your going on about Novels, and other stupid silly things.

Kishimoto approved the Academy Arc, every since that ended the Anime has been in wonderland till the Gaiden was adapted. And of course as logic folllows with Manga Arc adaptions, the scans lead. However, the entirety of the Anime itself will be created between: Adaptions, Filler Arcs, and rare "approved' arcs

.g, Kishimoto came out and said the Boruto Manga is canon.
Your the one who tried to argue that the Boruto Manga wasn't canon, until I proved you wrong. You thought Kishimoto didn't actually say anything, but he did. And what do you do? Backpedal.

Kishimoto has not once DIRECTLY said this.
Kishimoto whom was interviewed by Andy from the WSJ confirmed that Kishimoto said the Boruto Manga takes apart of the Canon universe, in fact even ANN confirmed that the Boruto Manga is THE sequel of the Naruto franchise.

I posted both these facts earlier.

It's retarted Ansatsu!

Westerner folks in particular are just refusing to enjoy the ish because it's not what they call "cannon" an go out of their way to explain things that the creators themselves don't even think about.. It's only when they do interviews & are asked the stupid question by a westerner, Is this "cannon" an they get that puzzled look like WTF is that you ignorant westerner talkin about..

I don't know if that's accurate. Kishimoto has confirmed that things outside of the original Naruto Manga was legit.

But I know for a fact he never uses the word canon itself. He'll probably will say something about it 'taking place in his universe or story' like he did in that Podcast.

I agree with this. Matter of fact, I made this known earlier. The term canon is relatively non-existent in Japan. Only in the western part of the world are people going with the term.

So if anyone keep on saying the Boruto anime is not canon, it's only based on their indulgence. It's not a fact. With that, I take my leave.

^And thus confirming that the Boruto Anime isn't canon.

Kishimoto has already disproved the argument of Canon v. Non-Canon already. Hence the Naruto spin off exactly. On call he delivered questions on whether the Boruto spin off would be legitimate in his universe, and hence it exists.

I'm not sure why people think that Japan doesn't have a view of canon when they needed to advertise the LAST of all things as Chapter 699.5 for people to take it seriously.

No offense to Rinne tho. I'm sure Japan are more lenient on the Canon stuff than the Western side, but to say it doesn't exist with no actual proof, when we actually have proof that Kishimoto has stated things were official outside of his Manga.

I can't agree.

Man..

Apart from the marketing, it can be because 699.5 brings closure by officially pairing Naruto and Hinata. It fits to be honest.

Unfortunately, I know when someone is intransigent, whilst advocating argument to incredulity/straw man fallacy, prompting me not to stick around for reasons known to me. It's nice exchanging words with you, though I wouldn't say I enjoyed it. Hopefully in our next argument, we'll come to a compromise.

I have Nihon friends bro an they never say "cannon' 'filla" to me.. It's almost as though they're just learning what it is from me using it.. They don't care about those terms bro..

They love the fact that the writers creator's supervisors or whoever else are going out of their way to keep them entertained with side scenario's or alternate stories..
They appreciate the time put into manga an anime so those terms are basically void..

You see the same thing here though. Most people outside of forums don't even know what canon is or care about canon. I see people debating that, what we would consider Naruto fillers, they use as facts. But granted most of these people are casual watchers. I for example wasn't aware of what canon was until I was much older. But to say canon doesn't exist because of your friends opinion doesn't suit well with me.

There is a canon otherwise Kishimoto wouldn't have to clarify. Nor the series incorporated.

True. But Kishimoto probably opted Manga development for that cause. It wasn't really a positive though.

My opinion isn't changing because the facts remain. Anime is an adaption of the Manga, the Manga is hailed as the sequel of the Naruto, and Kishimoto clarified what's canon and what isn't.

Unless Kishimoto states that the entire Anime is legitimate, of course.

I get you

But okey I'm being honest here. Actually I dont really hate anime extra adaptation of manga, what we called as 'filler'. I dont really have a problem with SP works on Boruto series. I can enjoy it if it logical and not overly ridiculous also the animation XD. But some added stories are illogical and overly ridiculous also can be against established facts. In DBZ we know Freiza destroying Planet Vegeta, the scene not exist in manga but Toei put the scene in Anime, its acceptable bcus its logical.

When it comes to Naruto we got this-the so called Kaguya-Hago-Hamura-Ashura-Indra back story and the problem is that the story is illogical, ridiculous and stupid unimaginative repetitive ideas from SP. E.g Hagoromo with PS and used it against Juubi or Ashura's Shinsuusenju like really????

They are still just people though. It doesn't really matter what province they live in. I know for a fact that we might take it more seriously as a group on forums, but outside of that, most people don't even know what is real and what isn't lol.

I have a friend who thinks Hinata can use 64 palms in Part 1 lol

It can be a waste of time, but the problem is that it does exist though. I'm sure majority of people between US and Japan don't consider most of the Naruto movies canon lol

Especially the one where Naruto traveled back in time to meet Minato XD

Them not understanding the terms doesn't mean the concept itself doesn't exist in Japan. :lol All this means is that they don't call it "canon" or "filler". The Last was advertised as Chapter 699.5 in Japan, meaning they wanted to let people know it was part of the main story, i.e. canon, meaning the concept does obviously exist in Japan.

It is easier to see things like this. Essentially because this discussion is based on what? 23 episodes of Boruto, while some of them didn't even followed what is in the manga.

Like Indra said, the Manga is leading.

I do understand that they needed to give time for Ikemoto to adapt, at least this is my view on things but all of this Filler/canon in terms of Boruto happens because of other members and other threads that bring prejudice to the distinction.

Agree! Ashura throwing a Rasengan with small rasengans inside.. :lmao:

Surely the concept must exist but it is easier not to debate such things. I like 00Rine approach but can also agree with Indra on the matter, especially when we look at how Boruto anime has been until now, it basically didn't follow the Boruto Manga but it will catch up.
