Boruto wasnt serious which make sense knowing that the only purpose of the ''fight'' was to test a tool, why Boruto would want to hurt Sarada? Anyway, the latest chapter debunk this since Boruto was on par with Kawaki at CQC.

Hinabae with more fanfic, Boruto was serious(his own admission) and :salt:y after he lost. Anway, Sarada is proven superior to Boruto in CQC, Boruto is equal to Kawaki in CQC, therefore Sarada is superior to Kawaki in CQC Syllogism is the bane of your ilk, the congitively regressed.
