Nah, different people get on at different times so I don't mind repeats. As for me, you would think that they would just use black people but I think it's possible that didn't happen because they didn't want to offend blacks by offering them to be slaves in some story. To me, it seems like a possible kind act gone wrong and taken the wrong way.

Plus, I thought blackfacing was something done in plays for a while now? Or is this not the same thing? I'm not well-knowledged in these matters

It's easy to say that it is racist from an outsider's perspective while people who have experienced this holiday have seen it as nothing but a pleasant family festivity.

Both sides don't understand each other. The ''Black petes'' aren't even being forced to work nor are they mistreated.

It's not like it's a bad association. ''Black Pete'' is known as a friend of children who hands out presents and candy to those who have been nice. Oh, the humanity.
