Actually the 153m in japan and 230m worldwide means that DB sold 153m in Japan and 77m (230m-153m) outside Japandragonball 153 m + 230 m copies = 380 million
Worldwide kinda includes Japan you know

Does wiki actually list the US and rest of the world sales?Lol I feel like a fool now
but nvm if Naruto has sold 113 m in Japan and 90 m in usa + 90 million in other places over the world like vasu says it would be around 300 m in total , which again when looking at wiki it says 150 m tops worldwide so it does not make sense and something is wrong with given numbers
it says this about Naruto: sold over 113 million copies in Japan and over 95 million copies in the US,[17] followed by over 93 million copies worldwideDoes wiki actually list the US and rest of the world sales?
Like I said google yourself. And I provided the source, you didn't for Dragonball,so,provide it. And if it's there, and the editing has been done 72hrs before, then it's legit.
And calling it an asspull doesn't make it one Lol
EDIT - @bold
"The manga's 42 volumes have sold over 156 million copies in Japan and more than 230 million copies worldwide". This is what it saysYou must be registered for see links. Pretty accurate if you ask me. But what you said was completely baseless argument in jest of proving my claim wrong, even when I provided the source. Dat insecurity. You fail though.
And wait, let me give you one more thingYou must be registered for see links
"As of 2013, the series had over 345 million volumes in circulation worldwide, making it the best-selling manga series in history". Pretty much accurate if you ask me,the figures I mean. 300 in home and as I claimed 45 in abroad.
Now if we go with these facts, then what I provided is correct. Though it's a shame why they never did any other counting for Naruto manga sales outside Japan after volume 36. But the wikipedia is correct.
Here's the thing for your lazy ass.You must be registered for see links
You must be registered for see links
And your point is ? because no One Piece in India that's mean OP is not popular in Asia ?EDIT 2
Well my good friend tell me something. In a new market,if you want to endorse a business of say manga/anime,which product will you give priority? The less popular ones or more popular ones? We are new, doesn't mean we live in stone age to not know what we are being provided with. I for one will introduce people of new market with the most popular ones first,so that they can quickly adapt the quality and merchandise, however you want to call it.
Its nothing like that, at least not for me, am just trying to point out sales outside japan don;t really mean anything compared to the domestic sales, idk about the other guy i mean he's pulling a fake claim about manga salesDidnt expect a pissing contest about manga sales, this is just sad.
Thanks for once.Actually the 153m in japan and 230m worldwide means that DB sold 153m in Japan and 77m (230m-153m) outside Japan
Worldwide kinda includes Japan you know![]()
It says 113 m + 93+95 m till volume 36,is it that hard to read? The next one where it says 130 million must mean till some more volume, kinda till 60 I guess, and that too only in Japan. And Show me the page where it says 150 million. Will read that and then see what it means.it says this about Naruto: sold over 113 million copies in Japan and over 95 million copies in the US,[17] followed by over 93 million copies worldwide
but on the same page it says in Japan it has 130 million sold
than on another wiki page in a manga sale statistic it says Naruto has sold 150 million worldwide
? what's that all about , I think some Joker is editing cause DB is the undisputed nr 2 and according to those numbers if u count hem together it would be 300 million and thus more than db which is bullshit
@bold 1I don't even need to say anything about this, look Silmarill already point out what kind of joke is Wikipedia..
some expert that researchers huh ?
ah and also One Piece sales news usually come from official jump site or some reliable anime site/forum such as ANN/MH.........
i visit those sites from time to time and never seen about Naruto sold over 188 million outside japan.. what i want to see is that you provide me with statistic that shows where all that number comes from..... i mean when One Piece reach 200m in sales there is a big news everywhere... surely if that number about Naruto sales is true then surely there's some kind of statement about it from jump or other anime site.....
And your point is ? because no One Piece in India that's mean OP is not popular in Asia ?
and also stop posting pm/massage in my profile and told me to reply.
-You clear nothing, Wikipedia is still unreliable when it comes to state like this, My opinion ? what opinion ? who is that official group ? how come they know something that Shueisha don't know ?@bold 1
Look I cleared his doubt. And who are you btw? Some OP fanboy in net. And you think your opinion is greater than those researchers [official groups] facts? You really are an idiot.
@bold 2
My point is it's not as popular in Asia as you claim it to be,either you take my common sense,or sales facts [45 million outside Japan Lol] or whatever. Live in your delusion. I'm done with you. I provided facts, you gave stupid argumentative opinions.
so now u claim Naruto has sold 300 m up to volume 34 ? lol so they have 30 volumes more now so that means it should have almost doubled...Thanks for once.

And like I already provided the proof of it's accuracy,it's not fake. And no,it's not BS. It's fact.
Look in that Best sellers list wiki page you provided,in that chart, point your mouse cursor over the numbers written beside sale figures. It will point out the source,FYI. For OP and DB it says it took worldwide sales in figure while for Naruto it clearly sales,in that article where it took that figure, that it is only from Japan.
@bold 1

- All i see is an insult and badmouthing... but oh well meet ppl like you every now and then....-You really are an Ignorant Idiot Lol Do you even read anything? I say you just skim through things LMAO. Just ****ing check the sources provided by wikipedia besides sales figure. Those sources are official.
- You were living in denial and still are,not my problem.
- When did I say that? I explained my claim, you can't counter it and now are trying to change the subject. And no all that matters is not Japan. Do you even have a brain or you actually sold it for $1 or whatever? Seriously!!
- Nurarihon got an ending dude. Maybe cancelled,so what? It was popular for sure.
Naruto is still ongoing, with over 60 volumes published, and has sold over 113 million copies in Japan and over 95 million copies in the US,[17] followed by over 93 million copies worldwide (outside Japan and United States) as of volume 36, also being adapted into two successful anime series.

And don't say it's Wikipedia,if you really don't know. FYI just search google and see what researchers [individual groups] found about it's accuracy. It matches Britanica Encyclopedia.
You should develop a reading habit. Go through my last reply thoroughly please. And see where those results are taken. The source you provided is only for Japan. Are you for real or what? It says 300 million for Onepiece when it's been stated officially that it sold 345?so now u claim Naruto has sold 300 m up to volume 34 ? lol so they have 30 volumes more now so that means it should have almost doubled...
naruto more sales than op and Dragonball combined ?
those numbers are false as hell lol
Animenewsnetwork provides other numbers

this seems more reliable than wiki pages that give different numbers on different pages
The funny part is I'm not saying a damn thing, just stating the obvious. I believe in Wikipedia because of those research.Let me help clarify what others are saying here. Wiki is a bad source for information, despite them having links.
When you go to the wiki page and click the [17] it takes you to the bottom of the page where it is linked and where they got that information.
HOWEVER, when you go to click said link,You must be registered for see linksis where it takes you. As you can see, there aren't any numbers there or some kind of article that backs up those numbers. This is what everyone is saying.
They want you to find another source where these numbers have been said because they are just ridiculous. Since You said the Britannica Encyclopedia backs up these numbers, it shouldn't be too hard to find where they are.
I get what you're trying to say but unlike those two songs,in your example, which never broke into other parts,OP did. Your point? Now the situation becomes complete opposite.Okay I'm now gonna reexplain why Japanese numbers matter more than anything else (even though those Naruto numbers aren't reliable in the slightest)
If island A was very successful in music and had Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Queen and Led Zeppelin sold 500m on that island, PF 300m and Queen 200m
Than Queen manages to break onto the neighboring islands and caused a queen mania and sold 400m albums but the other 2 didn't break onto the other markets so Queen is now in the lead
But that doesn't matter one bit because chances are that if the other two broke onto the other markets they would have sold more than Queen, most likely in the same ratio as on the home island
But the other islands never found out about the other 2 bands so Queen sales on other islands have absolutely no meaning
I can't dumb it down any more than this
And it's the same with manga, a large majority of western fans only know naruto, blech, dbz and now aot so naturally the sales of them should be higher relative to any other manga because the average western fan simply does not know enough about manga
Actually it's no big secret that most US manga fans more or less know Bleach, Naruto and DBZ so what I wrote applies, although in a slightly less extreme variantI get what you're trying to say but unlike those two songs,in your example, which never broke into other parts,OP did. Your point? Now the situation becomes complete opposite..
Not being rude went out the window when you called me a dumbassNot trying to be rude or anything but OP manga went out in USA first, right? After DB? Yet it didn't made much. As a matter of fact it's out there in every major countries still leave japan and it's only 45 million. Now when I say **** the sales OP fans come up with sales but when I'm actually providing sales facts they come up with their opinions. Now me personally I don't give a flying **** about Japan's sales at all or even sales in general. I am just saying that WORLD'S OPINION > JAPAN'S OPINION. And how do you determine those opinions? By looking at various manga sites where people actually vote for their favourites.
Ladies and gents: from a man who tried not to be rude ... And failed ... Every time@alagon
It's kind of funny how you think that's the case about average western and average japan one. As for sales I am not spouting nonsense just putting out what wikipedia says. Maybe naruto is not greater than OP in sales but it's definitely is than db. I say it's roughly around 300 million[If you were to be neglect wikipedia and trust NB source] now. Anyway no reason to argue with you op fans anymore who licks japan's D. 24/7/365 though. I have provided source, you provided baseless argumentative opinions.
