Presentation:
The director has come up with a thought provoking storyline but then it is the presentation that overpowers everything. The narrative was equally competent. Dialogues were simple, the script was held intact and the screenplay was powerful. Background score reminds us of familiar tunes and certain compositions are captivating. Cinematography takes the driver's seat and gets the lion's share. The real hero of the film is the visual effects and the graphics that truly mesmerizes the viewers. Editing was crisp and is worth appreciating. Art department was unbelievably excellent, the action sequences and the stunts were mind blowing. Coming to the cast, Sam Worthington did justice to his role and he played his part effectively, Zoe looks beautiful even in the avatar creation and her presence is sensuous, Sigourney was sensible and was apt, Giovanni Ribisi didn't have much, Michelle Rodriguez was neat, Stephen Lang was standard. Others did their bit to add value to the film.
Conclusion:
The story revolves around the elements of a different planet altogether and though the entire theme is fiction, there is a strong message to the viewers. It talks about humanity, love, peace and most importantly, the importance to Mother Nature. The impact of the technical aspects has been resoundingly mesmerizing and despite the 2 hours 45 minutes length, there is not a single moment of idle time. Overall, the film is a marvel in terms of technology and has got enough emotions to make the audience get transported to a different world altogether. This has scored in all the departments.
Magnificent and mesmerizing, it's a journey, don't miss it!!!
